“Another wild twisting ride from McCaffrey — Bulletproof has it suspense, international intrigue and a canny hero equal to the labyrinths he finds himself in. McCaffrey has one of the coolest no-messing around voices in the biz.” –Junot Díaz, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of This is How You Lose Her

In the years since escaping Beirut, O'Hara Poit believes he has turned the page on the darkest period of his life. While he earns a living along the treacherous smuggling routes of West Africa, the love of his life, Dina, has been busy preparing a new beginning for them both in Australia. But before he can make it Down Under, on a fateful evening along the Guinean coast, their dream is shattered by assassins' gunfire.

As he hunts those responsible for the attack, O'Hara must navigate a murky underworld of transnational gangsters, intelligence operatives, and foreign leaders, soon finding himself entangled in a complex web of some of the world's most sinister organizations. The deeper he digs in search of the truth, the more he is forced to question whether he will survive long enough to find the answers he is seeking.

A taut, international thriller following O’Hara Poit as he seeks revenge after assassins shatter the life he and his lover were building. From the smuggling routes of West Africa to a shadowy network of gangsters, spies, and corrupt leaders, McCaffrey weaves a fast-paced, layered story where danger lurks behind every alliance. The plot unfolds with precision, keeping readers guessing about who can be trusted and what the true stakes are.

Like Alan Furst, McCaffrey crafts richly atmospheric settings while challenging the reader to piece together the intricate web of relationships driving the suspense. 5 Stars!

Another McCaffrey Classic

BulletProof combines author and son Luke McCaffrey gritty, hard-hitting, fast-moving narrative genius with his father Tom McCaffrey's magical, mystical tours of realms beyond this one. Luke's second novel leaves the reader anticipating the adventures of O'Hara and his band, as they strike out for Colorado. Bravo, Luke McCaffrey
