not-gonna-happen-nope
April 15, 2016I thought about it for a minute or two but decided to forgo buying this one because it doesn't really make any sense paying for something as lame as excerpts.
By the way, Atria did this before but they gave it away for free. Most trad publishers regularly give out samplers to their mailing list, etc. This doesn't make any economic sense, and frankly, this looks like one big money grab. I don't think it's for charity, and even if it was, I still wouldn't buy it. My money would be better spent sending it directly to a charity that I support.
I hope to God this doesn't become a trend...

This is a con making people pay for a sample that is FREE when the book is released. Authors release graphics and teasers to encourage us to buy their book but these 7 authors want is to PAY for a teaser. Disgraceful and they should be ashamed of themselves. I can't see how this will gain readers. You will lose your loyal ones who used to rate you highly!

I freaking can't wait for Beth Flynn and Tijan's next novel!!!! This was juuuuuust enough to hold me over until their novel comes out ;) It's exactly what the title says, a Tease!

This little "Tease" of a book offers enough to piss you off and leave you craving more. I've read books by several of the authors, and was happy with the little bit I read from the others, with the exception of Out of Time. (Explanation of that below).
Turbulence by Whitney G.:
I immediately skipped to this one. I've been waiting for this one ever since Whitney dropped it all those months ago. And the two short chapters I read have me salivating and ready for more. This author writes the best male characters. They're assholes, I mean grade A. And you just don't understand why you like these guys so much, but there's just something about them. I absolutely cannot wait to get my greedy little hands on this one.
Dirty Deeds by Karina Halle:
I've seen books by this author but never picked up any of her work. Boy am I sorry about that. Dirty Deeds was the second excerpt I read and it seems like it's going to be explosive, in more ways than one. This one was added to my Amazon Wishlist so I'm planning on picking it up when it releases.
The Other Man by R.K. Lilley:
What more can I say about R.K. Lilley than she is absolutely brilliant! Enough said!!
Consolation by Corinne Michaels:
This was a first time author for me. I've never read anything and never even heard of this author. Apparently I'm living under a rock. This one could possibly leave me a snotty, crying mess, but that's ok. There might even be a bit of exasperation thrown in because it seems like the H/h might be playing hard to get.
Sustain by Tijan:
I've never read anything by Tijan and I'm excited to. I've thrown Sustain on my TBR list and I can't wait for it to come out.
Obligation by Aurora Rose Reynolds:
Anything by this author is good. I fell in love with her "Until" series and I'm sure I will with this one as well.
Out of Time by Beth Flynn:
I did not read this one. This is the second book in a series and the author warns that you need to read the first book to understand the back story. I might pick up the first book and see what it's all about and then go from there. I've really not had good luck with MC books so I'm really leery of them at this point.

I have a confession to make... I only bought this compilation, just so I coild read the first 3 chapters of
. If I could, I would make a serious donation to the charity of Ms. Flynn's choice, just so I could read this delicious book before the release date.
And no, I do not feel least bit sorry about kicking the compilation's other writers to the curb, in favor of Ms. Flynn's opus.
Giving this one: 5 stars based on Ms. Flynn's talent alone.

Unbelievably great teasers from some of my favorite authors. The minute I saw this was available I promptly purchased and dug in for some fantastic reading. I do have to say I absolutely couldn't wait to get jump on Sustain by Tijan, Out of Time by Beth Flynn and Obligation by Aurora Reynolds before they actually release. This book makes me want them even more. I always love getting one book with many authors, because I always find new amazing authors to fangirling over. Definitely recommend this book.

This is exactly what is says tease and I enjoyed every moment of it! Now I can't wait to read these books I know how good they will be because I have gotten a little taste i am hooked .
