Surpassed All Expectations: A Complex, High-Stakes Thriller
Military thrillers aren’t usually my go-to genre, but this book was very impressive. It is action-packed and incredibly well-thought-out, striking a balance of deep emotion, intense action, and gripping suspense that kept me on the very edge of my seat rooting for the characters.
I enjoyed the character development and depth. The author does a great job of letting the reader get to know each character's background and personal life intimately, without the narrative ever getting confusing. Refreshingly, there is no clear-cut "good guy vs. bad guy" trope here; instead, the story explores the complex, morally gray realities of real life, making the stakes feel much more grounded. I'm excited to see what happens next with these characters.
If I have one major negative, it is the cover. It really doesn’t do the storytelling inside any justice, honestly coming across as a "corny action film" vibe when the actual plot is so much more layered and complex. I could easily see this being turned into a great movie—just don't judge it by its cover!

Incredible story, about incredible Characters that rob industries to pay for medical expenses of their family members they would do anything and everything for. Even though theft especially by gun point is a major offense, your rooting for the bad/good guys in this story. The genius way they got things together and make things happen in two cities too many miles away to be the same suspects, but everything is the same, even down to description of perpetrators. They for sure can't be in two different places at same time. Enjoyed this action pack story. Thank you Goodreads and all involved in this ARC send out.

I was a First Read Winner of this book, and boy did it deliver. I am not really sure on how to put this into words, it tugged at my heartstrings of what the good/bad guys were facing and I could totally relate and I was cheering them on all the way. It had me at the edge of my seat and every time I thought I knew what would happen next it had me guessing wrong. A great way to start a Series and I cannot wait to see what will happen next.

Absolutely amazing! The twists. The suspense. And the thrill. Every time I tried to guess what happens next, I was wrong every single time. Can't wait to start book 2 of the series!
