The Caribbean Series is infinitely Superior to the Key West Series for a couple of reasons. The History era of the books 1600s to present day are woven together by an obvious expert. What I've always Seriously Hated is the penchant of turning around first letters of vulgarity in the road to key west books ex. Fucking Sucks. Is Sucking bucks really annoying and incredibly lame. That's what puts the Caribbean series head and shoulders above the key west series since it never happens in those books.

There is so much I want to say, but it would ruin all the surprises. This one did nearly give me a heart attack a few times. Good quick read. Can't wait to start the 3rd book.

You can feel it--the hair rising on the back of your neck. Reisig has pricked that sixth sense with "Caribbean Gold - The Treasure of Time". After you viewed the movie "Ghost", did you believe? The chills begin early in Caribbean Gold - The Treasure of Time, and they manifest often in this, the second of Reisig's new offering in the Caribbean Gold series. We love stories of deja vu--probably because we've all had...those...experiences not easily explained away. Haven't we been here before--know this person? A connection--it's there--palpable, real.

The summer of 1980 found Travis and Cody in Key West, Florida, trading gibes as their two year friendship continued to cement in trust and brotherhood. There was something familiar about each other at the outset and they both knew this was more than a lifetime bond being fostered. Cody was a fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants pilot--if it had wings, he could fly it, better than Travis, and Travis considered himself an accomplished pilot. They both shared a love for the sea and often sailed to the Marquesas or the Tortugas. It was in a bar called the Green Parrot that they met a man who relayed the riveting tale of the treasure of Tortuga. Billy McCree had barely escaped with his life after running into the island's deadliest voodoo "bokor" on his initial visit and Haiti's police were remarkably taciturn when it came to the influence of the black magic priest whose powers were quickly spreading throughout the island.

Billy had a commercial pilot's license and although he was not a 'Nam vet as were the other two, the trio carried their bond into a sail out of Key West into the Caribbean. As they sailed and conversed with light-hearted banter, Billy confessed a strange need to return to Tortuga, off the coast of Haiti, as possibly a piece of him remained there, a destiny.

The three adventurers agree to set off on a hunt for the Spanish treasure of Tortuga (now called Tortue) that will quickly test their spirit, experience, and lives as never before.

Could they follow the ancient parchment cipher and the clues to the golden treasure hidden centuries before by the island's resident buccaneers and escape the brutal members of the metaphysical voodoo cult permeating the island? To whom would the gold belong? Could they avoid becoming the next voodoo sacrifice and in the process rekindle the bond, the former brotherhood formed by mariners of the past? Some treasures last forever, but not all are base metals.

With the encouragement of his friends, Reisig has republished “BROTHERS OF THE SWORD/CHILDREN OF TIME” into two books that he is calling: “Caribbean Gold – The Treasure of Tortuga,” and “Caribbean Gold – The Treasure of Time.” I was fortunate to receive a pre-publication copy of the book "Caribbean Gold-The Treasure of Time". If you enjoyed Michael Reisig’s best-selling “Road To Key West” novels, you will love his new “Caribbean Gold” series! Heartily recommended!!

Another book by Michael Reisig that I couldn't put down. I finished Caribbean Gold - The treasure of Tortuga last week. I am hooked on Michael Reisig's writing. So when The treasure of time came out, I immediately got my hands on it. And, I made sure I would not be interrupted as I know I can not put any of Michael's books down.

The treasure of time is the story of three adventurers who go after and successfully locate the treasure that Will Devon, one of the Brothers of the Sword from "Caribbean Gold - The treasure of Tortuga," had hidden three hundred years ago, and left a puzzling set of cryptic instructions about where it was located. Even the deciphering of the puzzle is exciting the way Reisig writes. Our hero-trio in "The Treasure of Time" goes on a heart pounding journey as they solve the puzzle and try to escape those who are dead set against their success. Every scene climbs higher on the Richter scale of writing excitement in this book, thanks to Michael Reisig's prowess as a word smith.

Do they find the gold? That's the story. Do they get it home? That's also the story. And do all of them survive? That's the story for you to find out. From their first meeting in a Key West bar, through the planning of their expedition, to their grand arrival back in Key West, Reisig's story will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Get this book. It will be the best book you will read this year.

Great read!!!!!

I enjoyed this book very much. The story moves along very nicely. It has action, but the friendship between the characters are just as much of the story as anything.
