4.5✨ Okay, this was an ALL-AROUND YES for me. I had such a fucking good time with this book.

Sienna is an actress/model basically living the life everyone expects her to live. She’s the spoiled princess, the pretty girl, the woman who is supposed to sit there and look good, but underneath all of that, she’s unsure. She’s been through pain and betrayal, she’s insecure about a lot of things, and she’s carrying way more quietly than the people around her realize.

So when she gets kidnapped because her best friends husbands are involved in the mafia and she’s taken as leverage, she is understandably like… what the actual fuck is happening?!🫪

Especially because she has NO idea the people closest to her have ties to the mafia. She feels betrayed, foolish, and completely isolated because everyone has been keeping this huge part of their lives from her. And I really loved watching her start to realize that maybe she wasn’t actually living before all of this. She’s spent so much of her life being who everyone expects her to be, and this experience forces her to figure out what SHE actually wants, even when those things aren’t exactly conventional.

I love a self-discovery journey.

And then there’s Nikolai.🥵

Six-foot-seven. Tatted. Scar on his face. Ruthless as fucking hell. (RAW)

His nickname literally means boa constrictor because his favorite way to take a life is by strangling someone and watching the life drain out of them. Yeah. This man is not to be fucked with.

But what I loved about Nikolai is that he’s actually a character. This is exactly how you do a cold, calculated mafia man because he can be absolutely terrifying without being completely devoid of personality. And I’ll say it a million times: BANTER in a mafia romance is so fucking important to me, especially when you’re giving me kidnapping and Stockholm syndrome. I need these people to have personalities or I simply do not care.

And Sienna has the personality BABY💅🏻

Because not this man kidnapping her and then telling her to “mind your manners.”

LMAO Y’ALL SNATCHED ME UP???

She gives him nothing but fucking hell and sass, and honestly, I feel like her reactions were probably exactly how I would react.

Like, “Okay, what the fuck is going on? I’m freaking the fuck out.” But then she looks around and realizes she’s being treated like a fucking princess.

Because this man is a THOUGHTFUL kidnapper.

He sets up her room exactly how she likes it because he’s been stalking her for three months. Even her skincare routine is accounted for.

This is luxury kidnapping.

A high-end hostage, if you will.

Every day there are fresh flowers and fruit beside her bed. He brings her favorite meals, chocolate chip cookies, red licorice… he is literally shopping for her and making sure she has everything she likes. His attention to detail was literally immaculate, it’s probably from the stalking though hehe whatever it’s romantic.

Are we sure she’s being kidnapped??? Most men in loving committed relationships don’t even do this shit😂😅

This man literally kills her stalkers and then decided to stalk her himself. LMAO. He knows the way to her heart. And somehow, despite being a literal ruthless killer, this man is also the KING of acts of service.

He unbuckles her heels for her.

He brings her favorite things.

He does fucking pinky promises. PINKY PROMISES🫠

The big, bad mafia man doing pinky promises does something to me. Listen, he might put you in a cage and drop you in a shark tank, but at least he’s in the cage with you. Then he’s gonna turn around and teach you how to throw knives at your cheating douchebag ex.

It’s all about balance…..

He’s crazy. And Sienna is basically like, “Yeah, fuck it, whatever.” It’s got to be the scar that got her, same girl. I love that she’s constantly getting this man to bend to her will, he’s for sure the one in charge, but I honestly forgot that a few times with how he kept meeting all of her demands.

Then the lines between prisoner and lover start blurring pretty quickly, and honestly, can we blame him? He’s been stalking her for months and has obviously gotten a little attached. It’s giving soft spot. Its giving lover boy.🤭

And the spice in this book was SO fucking hot.

We really thought outside the box with this one, and I’m here for it every time. Every time this man used an inanimate object, I was like, “Huh?!”

And then two seconds later:

“Okay, yeah.”🥵

This man gets her off with the spine of a fucking book.He uses his bracelet like a personal set of anal beads. Freaky. I like it. This book really said “let’s just see how far we can take this” and I respect the commitment.

The plot also had enough OH SHIT moments to keep me excited and addicted without going so overboard that it distracted from the actual story or romance.

And now I’m fully invested in the rest of the series because I NEED to know what is going on with these other couples and families. I’m assuming the friends have their own books, and after this one, I absolutely want to go back and read them because there are already characters who have my interest fully fucking peaked.

Overall, I loved the characters, the romance, the banter, the mafia plot, the spice, the self-discovery, and all of the completely unhinged shit that made this book feel a little different from your typical mafia romance.

The fifth book of the insidious obsession series is here and this book follows our darling Sienna. The books in this series are interconnected standalone’s but there are some previous plot lines mentioned in this book, just to be aware.

If you’ve been following along in the series you will remember that Sienna was off the market because she was dating an actor only to realise he had been cheating on her. Now that her friends have all found their other halves she decided to take some time for herself and jet off to London. It is one evening that she is in fact snatched by a man named Nikolai and the reason Sienna was taken was due to her association with Luca Armani and Ara Barone, who is Sienna’s best friend.

After the fall of the Lion in NYC the Wolf, who Nikolai is reluctantly assisting, is trying to claim that power and by Nikolai taking Sienna it is only a stepping stone in doing so. Nikolai did his research on Sienna for quite a few months to gather his intel and you cannot tell me this man did not fall for her during that time as this man hadn’t even met her yet also ‘took care’ of a few of her followers that were a bit too forward.

Sienna is fierce but she definitely keeps her problems buried beneath the surface. Sienna struggles with infertility and longs to be a mother so the fact that her ex not only cheated but is also expecting a child with the woman he cheated with impacted her greatly. Sienna is not a woman to bend and she certainly does not make it easy for Nikolai and I mean why would she?

As we dive deeper into the book the pair start to understand one another and we see the tension start to brew. Something that shouldn’t have been temporary no long is. Nikolai is possessive and that’s just how I like my MMCs and we definitely see how devoted he is to Sienna even at the hands of people he considers enemies, he will stand by her side always. There is nothing sweeter than when you fall for the person who should have been your key to revenge, also through in the forbidden aspect of falling for a man you most certainly shouldn’t? Yeah I absolutely LOVED it.

Overall I absolutely loved Nikolai and Sienna’s story, quite a few twists as well that had me hooked. Thank you to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

DNF at 44%.
This could’ve been so much more fun and interesting, but sadly the plot just didn’t keep me invested. The whole “capture her and keep her hostage just to lure her friends in” storyline didn’t work for me, especially when she has nothing to do with any of it.
And enemies to hate-lovers by 25%? Way too fast for me. I need way more angst, tension and build-up in a mafia romance, and this just felt too rushed. Sadly, neither of the main characters was particularly memorable to me either. Overall, just not the book for me.

DNF at 53%.

The only acceptable reason I made it halfway through this book is probably because I was in the mood to read a trashy mafia book. But then I was like… why am I doing this to myself? 😭

Both main characters were insufferable. They were acting like teenagers, and I seriously couldn’t handle it anymore.

The FMC was a brat who tried to act tough, but she just sounded like a spoiled teenager.

The MMC is 30+ and was acting like a 15-year-old boy So fucking annoying.

Good Lord! Whatever you do, do NOT make plans for the day you sit down to read this book.
I showered at 1pm because when I sat down at 8am to read for an hour. I only moved for toilet breaks!

From page one, this book had me completely hooked, and I am not overplaying it. It was THAT good.

Serena is kidnapped by Nikolai, right-hand man to The Wolf, and is supposed to be used as a pawn in a strategic move against Luca Armani, who we first met in Insidious Obsession.

From their very first encounter, the chemistry is PINGING. And somehow, it only gets better as the book goes on. By the end I was kicking my feet (not literally because that’s weird ) and yelling at my Kindle. That part did actually happen. Multiple times.

Nikolai is THE BEST.
The whole way through this book he is thoughtful, protective, kind (mafia man kind, obviously) and so ridiculously possessive over Serena.

Don’t look at her. Don’t touch her. Actually, maybe don’t even breathe in her general direction, because when Nikolai is done with you, you’ll be lucky to still have eyes and hands.
From the second Serena is under his protection, that man has her back. It does not matter who you are or what you want from her, Nikolai is right there ready to deal with it.
His own backstory broke my heart too. So many of these men born into that life seem to have absolutely horrific childhoods, and his explained so much about the man he became. All he needed it seems, was Serena ( SWOON)

Serena. I LOVE a feisty FMC and she was perfection.
The woman quite literally kicks him in the balls, constantly talks back to him and gives him a genuine run for his money. I wanted to high-five her more than once.
But there was also so much more to her than the sass.
At the beginning, she is feisty, but underneath all of that she really doesn’t have much confidence in herself or in the choices she actually wants to make. She spends so much time worrying about what everyone else expects from her and putting other people before herself.
As the book goes on, she starts figuring out that maybe everyone else isn’t expecting all these things from her quite as much as she thought. A lot of that pressure has actually been coming from herself.
And I loved watching her finally realise that she’s allowed to choose herself.

She can live whatever life she wants, do things because THEY make her happy, and stop putting everyone else’s needs ahead of her own all the time.

Some of my favourite and most memorable moments:

Her infertility struggles. This resonated with me so deeply. Everything Serena thought and felt around it felt painfully real. That feeling of not being enough. Of somehow not being “woman enough.”

“I wish she weren’t so nice as to congratulate others on their growing families when it probably causes a tiny piece of her light to die each time.”
Gosh. That sentence hit such a deep spot in my heart. Anyone who has struggled with infertility will understand exactly why.

“For the first time, I feel seen, not because of who I portray to the outside world, but because he somehow slipped past my defenses, saw all the ugliness, and embraced it without flinching.”

There were so many other moments I could add, but truthfully, my favourite scene was the whole damn book.

Kia, you legend, you have once again smashed it out of the park.

Sienna has just gone through a breakup and if you think things can't get worse...think again cause we're adding being kidnapped to the list! So when she finds herself being held by the dangerous and elusive Nikolai, she's left trying to figure out if Nikolai actually her enemy or is he the one person she can trust most in her life?

“I want it all. And I want it with you.”

Y'all, I had to sit down for this one because this was SO enjoyable. When Kia hinted the return of the Insidious Obsession world, I was gagged. If you know me, you know how much I love the Obsession gang. They're such a badass, chaotic, ridiculously fun group of characters that pretty much guarantee a good time so of course I was immediately seated for this one. But kidnapping romance? I think we need to rethink who was actually being held captive here because as far as I'm concerned, Sienna held Nikolai captive more than he ever held her! Girl pulled the ultimate UNO reverse and captured her kidnapper's heart instead cause I mean, what kind of kidnapping involves popcorn movie nights, secret foot massages, and PINKY PROMISES?! Apparently this one.

As with every Kia FMC, Sienna was fiesty. My girl was not about to make this kidnapping easy on Nikolai and I loved her for it. She challenged him, pushed back, and found ways to take control of her own agency even when the situation itself was completely out of her control. Underneath all that fire though, Sienna was such a sweetheart. Soft heart and a spine made of absolute steel, which is honestly one of my favourite combinations in an FMC.

“You are marvellous, mishka. A sight to behold, and a woman with fire in her eyes.”

And of course Nikolai was our lovable kidnapper with a heart of gold. For someone who's supposed to be this dark, dangerous, elusive man, he sure folded fast for Sienna. The protectiveness, the little acts of care, THE PINKY PROMISE (I’m not gonna stop talking about the pinky promises okay?). Baby boy, who exactly is the captive here? Because it definitely ain’t Sienna by the end. I loved watching all those dangerous edges soften specifically for her while he still remained completely Nikolai to everyone else, it’s like my kryptonite.

Honestly, these two were just so much fun together. The whole kidnapping plot around them may have been dark but their actual relationship had so many unexpectedly sweet and funny moments that I was constantly smiling. Somehow Kia took a kidnapping romance and made me go "awww" far more times than I probably should've. She really hit all the right tropes with this one and I binged the entire thing in one sitting.

Getting to step back into the Insidious Obsession world was such a treat, and there's SO much potential for more stories here that I'm already impatient for whatever comes next. So in the meantime, I'll just be parked on Kia's front lawn. We're having a BBQ with the Obsession gang while I wait for the next masterpiece to drop (Dmitri is making hot dogs)…hope that's okay, Kia 😂

I was an ARC reader for Unruly Obsession (book 3) and Carnal Obsession (book 4) in this series.

So far, this book 5 is my favorite.
I loved Sienna, the FMC, and how strong, and feisty, and sassy this 29 yo woman is.
And I definitely loved Nikolai (the Udav) who is the unhinged, crazy and obsessed MMC.

Nikolai, who is part of the Bratva, is ordered to capture the beautiful Sienna, to gain leverage over the Italian Maf!a. He spends 3 months learning everything about her and in that time he becomes obsessed with her.
When she sees herself trapped in the hands of this enormous tattoed and scaring man, she surprises him by not having fear of him or his actions. And that was not definitely on his plans.

Between the Bratva and the Maf!a, underground fighting clubs, exotic animals, NYC and Croatia and Paris, this book is filled with action, with spicy scenes (I will never look at a beaded bracelet again 🤭), and with love.
ecause if there is one thing that Sienna and Nikolai do is teaching us that love can be deranged and morally questionable and out of control and it will still be love. A grand love.

Captured Obsession had me hooked from the very beginning. This was a deliciously dark forced proximity romance between a captor and his captive, filled with danger, tension, and undeniable chemistry. Sienna was supposed to be nothing more than an assignment, but somewhere along the way, she became the person Nikolai couldn't stop himself from protecting.

Sienna is feisty, strong, and incredibly sassy, but she's also dealing with insecurities after a devastating breakup with her cheating boyfriend. She has no idea that some of the people closest to her are hiding a dangerous secret life until she's suddenly kidnapped. Nikolai is the man hired to take her, and he's everything you would expect from a dangerous captor: dark, possessive, unpredictable, and completely unhinged. His nickname, Udav, carries a reputation all its own, and everyone knows exactly who he is and what he's capable of.

But Sienna is not the type to sit quietly and accept her situation. She gives Nikolai a serious run for his money, and I loved every second of it. She's determined to stand her ground, and somehow this fierce woman even has this dangerous man making pinky promises. Honestly, I couldn't get enough of their dynamic.

And then there's the chemistry. Whew. These two should absolutely not want each other, but the attraction between them is impossible to ignore. Every interaction is filled with tension, and the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes for either of them to deny the pull between them.

Captured Obsession is packed with danger, steamy moments, suspense, and a morally gray hero who unexpectedly discovers where he belongs. Somewhere in the middle of all the chaos, a beautifully messy and completely unexpected love story begins to take shape, and I was here for every second of it.

Obsessed!!

Wow! That's how you finish a series!

CAPTURED OBSESSION, a forced proximity, stalker, kidnapping, he falls first, possessive MMC, fiesty FMC, mafia romance, was intriguing, gripping, spicy, and had me rapidly turning the pages. The burn was intense, the banter was superb, and the heat was delicious.

He stalked her, knew everything about her and then he kidnapped her. Now he wants to keep her. Nikolai Volkov never expected to fall for Sienna Falcone, but fall he did ... and hard. He finds himself challenged at every turn by the stubborn, fiesty, sharp-toungued model, and loves every moment. Their banter was witty and razor sharp, their chemistry was explosive, and their heat ... well let's just say ice cubes and books make for some delicious spice.

Nikolai and Sienna are the epitome of a grumpy/sunshine pairing. His possessiveness is over the top, but so is his need to care for her and keep her safe. Sienna may be a little clumsy, but when confronted by danger ... this woman is a bada$$. I loved the burn of their relationship, the yearning and desire, the stolen glances and the subtle touches. Fate was definitely on their side.

Kia has yet again delivered another edgy, gritty, dark, dangerous, and totally unputdownable story. I have loved every book in this series, but Nikolai and Sienna are definitely favourite couple. I am obsessed!! A highly recommended read.

Absolutely KEEN and EXCITED to dive into the next instalment, considering it was a captor x captive situation, I wondered what Kia had instore this time for the new couple, Sienna and Nikolai!

Being captured after she was medicating her current problems, Sienna finds herself in a situation she never thought possible. Especially considering the circumstances as to why she was taken in the first place. Which, BY THE WAY, was FUCKING BLASPHEMOUS for the point that it TOOK SO FUCKING LONG! Throughout this book Sienna was SUCH A SPITFIRE and her fight to escape never left her. She never backed down and MY WORD WAS SHE FIESTY! My heart did go out to her though, for what she was dealing with.
As for Nikolai, I was SURPRISED that I quite enjoyed his character! His backstory was INTERESTING TO SAY THE LEAST and the way everything tied itself together was a *chef’s kiss*! His actions DEFINITELY pulled at my heart strings and the way he ended up caring for Sienna WAS TOO CUTE! Of course, the brooding, mysterious captor is actually AN ADORABLE TEDDY BEAR! Their relationship from the beginning was ELECTRIC and FIERY! And the way that MAN made her feel! UGH!

Not realising but FINDING OUT AFTER I READ THIS BOOK that this was the end to the Insidious Obsession series, BROKE MY HEART! WE DIDN’T GET DARRIIOOOO! He had SO MUCH POTENTIAL but will forever remain a side character! I can’t wait for what’s next EEK!

ARC Review

This book is the last installment in the Insidious Obsession series and it follows Nikolai and Sienna. Nikolai is ordered to kidnap Sienna for his boss’s benefit, but he never anticipated falling for the woman he was meant to keep captive.

I really liked both characters, but I especially loved Sienna’s growth throughout the book. She begins as a woman trying to fit into the mold society has created for her, but gradually grows into the independent, fierce woman who had always been simmering beneath the surface.

Nikolai is your typical bad boy who “doesn’t do feelings” (*cue Sienna*). I always love when I read about powerful men being brought to their knees by women, and Sienna can definitely make him beg for it.😮‍💨🤌🏼

“I prefer to hide in the shadows. And she’s the f*cking sun, lighting up all my dark places.”

I will also never look at a freaking book spine or ice cube the same way anymore! 😭

I did find it a wee bit lengthy and had some trouble getting into the story. However if you’re a fan of dark romance, especially forbidden attraction and stalking, this one’s for you. 🫶🏼

I voluntarily reviewed "CAPTURED OBSESSION" given for my honest opinion I was hooked from the start with suspense, stalking, kidnapping, danger, angst, sizzling heat, mystery & twists that seated until finished.
Nikolai is with the Russian Bratva who kidnapped Sienna who's with the Italian Mafia devastated by her cheating ex-fiance leaving her heartbroken after finding out she went out & ends up meeting Nikolai, his job is to get rid of her but she intrigues him so he decides to keep her & use her as leverage.
Nikolai didnt expect to be so taken with Sienna she's stubborn funny, feisty, doesn't have fear of him at all things start to heat up the sexual tension is sizzling hot between these two, he brings things out she trys to hide, his protectiveness of her, he's got quite the intriguing way about him keeps you chuckling at these two.
Will Nikolai be able to keep Sienna safe, keep his boss happy with his decision, to get a HEA this is one dark twisted journey you don't want miss such an interesting, entertaining page turner with interesting characters, you so won't be disappointed, I loved Nikolai & Sienna.

Captured Obsession is a fantastic addition to the Insidious Obsession series.
The series is an interconnected series each book follows a different couple.
CO is Sienna and Nikolai’s story.
He is part of the Bratva, working for The Wolf.
Which had him stalking his prey, Sienna, for three months.
He begins to know everything about her throughout the months before he kidnaps her.
But what he didn’t expect was the Sienna now in his clutches.
I adored Sienna. She is so fierce, feisty and sassy. So strong and brave.
But getting to see her vulnerable side was also part of her whole package.
The banter and conversations between these two was top notch.
The back and forth was witty and filled with sarcasm.
Holy moly their chemistry was explosive. Spicy, sexy and sizzling hot.
The author intertwines the mafia aspect of the story perfectly and flawlessly with Sienna and Nikolai’s slowly brewing romance.
Their story had me turning the pages of the book as fast as I could read.
Especially with the twists and turns in this forced proximity forbidden love story.

This book was the perfect ending to this series. I would devour any sort of following up book written by any of these characters. It took me longer than it should have to read the book, but only because so many annotations were so necessary!

Nikolai as Dimitri’s half brother.. EVERYTHING and more! Sienna stepping into herself, and really finding who she is and what she wants for herself and her life and not what everyone expects! Plot extra thick! The Wolf is just as horrible as The Lion, and my only wish was that his death was more hostile.

“I hope I haunt her every waking hour once we’re forced apart.”

I was dreading that she’d be taken, or that they’d be forced apart in some way! I’m so friggin thankful that it never happened.

The way they are both possessive and obsessive about each other perfection!

I loved the way Elanee’s reuniting with Udav was a happy one, since it was super clear that it was the way she was mistreated by his father that haunted him.

The entire series, worth it! I’m so happy I didn’t have to wait an extended period of time for this last one.

This is the fifth book in this phenomenal series, and this is Sienna and Nikolai / Udov’s story.
Sienna is strong, feisty, funny, and stubborn, as all of her friends have found their significant other, she needs some time for herself. Nikola is possessive, and part of the Russian Bratva, and he has been ordered to kidnap Sienna to use as leverage against the Italian mafia, but she has no knowledge to whom her best friends are married. Sienna does not make life easy for Nikolai, as she knows how to push his buttons.
This is a well written action-packed story, with friendships, emotions, tension, stalking, kidnapping, suspense, intrigue, secrets, forced proximity, enemies / lovers, morally gray, humour, witty banter, revelations, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable, dark romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Goodness!!!!

Sienna is running from her past and just trying to make it each day after finding out that her ex was cheating on her. She runs to London where she is keeping her mask firmly in place. That is until she is kidnapped by Nikolai to get the attention of the Armani family.

Nikolai thinks that he knows everything he needs to know about Sienna after stalking her socials and watching her from afar. But her sharp tongue shows him that he has so much to learn!

The banter between these two was amazing and I did not want to like Nikolai but my goodness that man can wave his red flags in front of my face all day!!!

This is an interconnected standalone and I will admit that I have not read books one or two in this series and I wish that I had because i think that they would have made the story even more impactful but even without reading them I loved every moment!!!

Ohhh okay there Nikolai Volkov… I see you…you unhinged, possessive kidnapper you.

I’m not sure who I loved more… Nikolai or Sienna. Because she has had enough of men, and rightfully so and absolutely challenges Nikolai every chance she gets. The banter and razor sharp tension was freakin’ delicious… I mean the woman literally makes a stone cold killer say please and I loved every minute of it!

And Kia!!! You are an author!! How dare you do that to a book in your story 😂 All I kept thinking through this scene was how utterly ruined that book was going to be and praying the entire time there would be no paper cuts 😂😂😂

This series always delivers that perfect amount of dark mafia action and suspense. So many scenes had me on edge but at the same time were so incredibly hot and spicy. I think this is my new favorite in the series.

Nikolai and Sienna are a powerhouse duo. I absolutely love them both. Sienna is a woman boss! She is not afraid of Nikolai. It is due to her feisty nature that she found herself in her predicament. The more that Nikolai tried to tell Sienna what to do or wear, the more she pushed back and did the complete opposite.

"Your scent is enticing but it's this mouth of yours that will get you in trouble."

Plan to clear your schedule before you start reading this book, because, once you do, you won't be able to stop until you finish! I am totally obsessed with Sienna and Nikolai. In fact, I would not complain if I found myself in a forced proximity situation with Nikolai. He fell hard and fast for Sienna.

Kia gave me everything with this book...touch her and d!e, he falls fast, sassy FMC, and so much spice!

True to its title, this story was so enticing to read and so much fun to see the banter happening between the main characters. Sienna is no little flower. She’s fierce in her own way and doesn’t back down from all the threats she’s facing. I loved her personality, and I can feel her sadness for what it was. She’s the character I connected with the most in the book.

I adore the writing, and this series is a good mafia series to binge-read and enjoy all the couples in different ways. Kia Carrington never fails to amaze me with her writing. Now Nikolai was dangerous, but aww, he was such a softie for her from the start. As a reader, I could see what’s being cooked here and they realised it in their own time. lol.

The turns were fascinating to watch and learn about, and the spice was spicing, and the chemistry is pure fireworks.

I’ll keep this simple...
He kidnaps her. She wants to escape (or maybe not). He has absolutely no intention of letting her go.
Sounds chaotic? It is. And somehow, somewhere between captivity, mind games, razor sharp banter, and undeniable chemistry... a love story blooms 😆.
Nikolai is the kind of morally gray man you know you shouldn't love... and yet here we are. Sienna is fierce, stubborn, hilarious, and refuses to make anything easy for him, which makes every interaction between them even better.
And yes, I could tell you more about this book... but I refuse to ruin one of the most unforgettable scenes involving an ice cube, a six-foot feisty model, and her six-foot-seven ridiculously handsome kidnapper. Trust me, you're going to want to experience that one for yourself 🤭.

Book 5 in the Insidious Obsession series follows their friend Sienna Falcone and her kidnapper Nikolai "Udav". She's kidnapped from a club in London while she tries to get back to her life after a public breakup and Nikolai hoping to get Luca Armani's attention kidnaps her and whisks her away. Little does he know that she will turn his world upside down and he will bring back a spark of life into hers.

It was a lovely book and nice I want to say "conclusion" to the series but I am not 100% sure this is the last book but it works as a standalone as well as interconnected with the previous books. I had fun reading it and Kia never disappoints with her writing. Fast read and a joy to experience.

I liked everything about this book. Every little detail, character trait, plot point....Captured Obsession was so good!

Like this entire series, the women hold the power, even if the men are begrudged to realize it. I loved seeing Sienna come into herself and heal, even though circumstances would normally say that should not be the case.

Nikolai and Sienna absolutely work together. They are grumpy and sunshine personified. Their banter and dynamic was so fun to read, and the forbidden nature of their attraction just added fuel to the fire.

This entire world is dark, dangerous, and fun, I'm hoping that we get to see it expand and continue!

Omg i couldn't put it down. Even in the middle of a health crisis, I was compelled to finish.

Nikolai was the Enforcer so to speak for the vicious Mafia boss The Wolf. He was forced to kidnap Sienna who had no exposure to the Mafia world and was shocked to be drawn into danger by Nikolai.

It loved the slow brew of their relationship especially the little kink and steam. I enjoyed their journey and how it changed them both. Softening him and toughening her. But together they grew in the danger.

So well done. This author's books are always a little off beat but so much the best. Can't wait for more.

Ok the crazy in me LOVES Nikolai 🤣😍 This is a Dark Mafia Romance where our amazing Sienna, the FMC is taken captive by the MMC, Nikolai. Sienna is heartbroken by the fact that she caught her fiancée cheating on her. On one of those nights trying to forget, she meets Nikolai. He has a job to do, get the girl, keep her safe and use her as a means for negotiation. But lines blur, the attraction grows and that tension?! OMG. Nikolai is so unhinged that I fell for him and his protectiveness over Sienna. The fact that he helps her unleash what's inside hiding behind the perfect facade. I DEVOURED THIS BOOK. It's so good! It will live rent free in my head!

Captured in the best way!

Went back and reread the whole series before this one dropped, and it was so worth it. Sienna's spitfire energy never dims even when she's kidnapped, and Nikolai's possessive, watchful obsession over her — down to knowing her favorite meals — is everything I want from a captor x captive romance. The way their relationship builds and eventually combusts is so satisfying, and he was willing to give up everything, even his own life, just to be with her when the chance finally came. Five books in and I'm somehow more obsessed than I was in book 1. If you love forced proximity, possessive MMCs, and a hero who falls first, this one delivers.
