Greys Anatomy but with a floating tentacle monster who has a peeping tom fantasy.

It felt like fate that Lelianna found the best help wanted request...EVER!

Help Let me pay you to be naked in a hotel room where I can watch.

Problem is, after an extraordinary night with her peeping Tom, who just wants to stick his tentacles everywhere, she can't shake the feeling she knows him. Low and behold her Tom is none other than Healer Syniz Vizglyat. The perfectionist perveyour, surgeon with the complex and general social recluse. Plus, the only person at work she's constantly flirting with. She just can't help it, and apparently, neither can Syn. Agreeing to be his sugarbaby seemed like the natural next step. But as they explore their spicy relationship, she begins to ask herself... why weren't they already doing this? Because she's pretty sure Syn was made for her.

ARC review
Lelianna was a confident satyr who knew what she wanted in life and from relationships, even if she held herself back for pursuing romantic relationships. Syn was Mr perfectionist doctor/healer and secret wannabe consensual peeping Tom. I loved that they had a solid work friend relationship, talked things out like grownups, and found a unique relationship set up that worked for them. The sugar baby set up was fun!

Spice: 5/5

Triggers: death of patient, injuries, patient related gore, emergency room setting including patients in critical or dire straits, grief, misogynistic comment from side character, brief physical altercation between side characters, power difference (MMC is not technically her boss, he is department head/healer, she’s a nurse), sex work

Spice: 5 🌶️

Tropes: perveyour x satyr • the smut is the plot • voyeurism • instalust • sugar daddy/sugar baby • workplace romance

So eh... This book happened 🤣

A short quote for those of you who need more info on what the heck a "perveyour" is:
“Syn was a Perveyour. A massive bulb of an eyeball with about fifty tentacles writhing off his body and a giant eye stalk off the top of him.”
And Lizzie Strong thought of this monster and said, we need monster smut! And I agree. Rather to my own surprise...

This is a Spicy McSpicyson of a book. Those of you looking for a story, look elsewhere. This book is smut on top of more smut, and I loved it! The main characters were cute, fun, and so flirty. And the side characters added a bit of depth and a nod to other stories from the author.

Why only 4 ⭐️ then? Well, even I, with my almost endless hunger for spice, need a little hint of a story. And the little bit of workplace romance plot happening read a lot like the plot from The Drago’s Assistant. Still loved the book though ❤️

This book is for you if you are looking for some straight up weird monster erotica and don’t care about a plot. You are in for a FUN time!

Goodreads-only bonus: LOL-quote for those of you wondering just how much smut is happening between the main characters:

I came for tentacles, and wow, did this one deliver! Along with a side dish of exhibitionism/voyeurism, power play (and professional power dynamics), and sex club.

This book was so much fun. The characters are absolutely unapologetic about what gets their motors going, and the world needs more of this energy. I adored Lelianna, with her sassy brat side that softens up so very much for Syn.

And Syniz Vizglyat….. give me more dominant tentacled eyeballs with a tender, steady sugar daddy vibe. How much do I love that it’s a “pleasure tentacle”? 100%. And the fact that he can send tentacles to visit Lelianna in other places? I’m fanning myself in delightful glee.

There’s not much story or drama, but that’s not what we’re here for. We’re here for kink friendly monster smut in a queer normative world. And we got what we came for.

Amazing.

Thanks so much to the author for the review copy!

Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of this novella for review. 4🌟's, I throughly enjoyed this spicy novella! If you love monster romance with tentacles, work place romance, unique creatures or peeping toms this book is for you. I loved the spicy scenes in this story as well as the scenes of the characters working at the hospital together. Often with workplace romances I worry about the power imbalance of the relationship, but I felt it was handled well here. Although this story is set in the world of King's Fall as many of Lizzie Strong's other books are, it could be read and fully understood as a standalone or entry point to reading her books.

you want smut? cause this is how you get smut.
this isn't anything I'd shout from the rooftops about. Floating blob with tentacles? check. hot satyr lady nurse? check. the clear communication between these two was nice to see. but one scene got stuck in my head and it's got me messed up in a bad way. I could suspend disbelief for the sentient blob but I draw the line at it wearing shoes.
anyways. thanks to the author for this eARC! these are my thoughts.

Please see this is an ARC review and the books was given to me in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this book. short, sweet and sexy, this book was one I really couldn't out down.

Dr Syn was such a hottie, and just imagining him peeping out from behind a wall loosing his mind? UGH 🩷

our FMC Lelianna was someone who knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it, and man she could keep a straight face iykyk.
the fact that these 2 were co workers and already kinda had the hots for each other? well that made it even better!

absolutely loved it. will read again.

*I will preface this in saying that I was very kindly given the opportunity to read this book as an ARC, however, this review is completely my own thoughts and feelings :)

🌶

I've said it before and I will say it again, I never thought about getting railed by a tenticled hairy eyeball before... until this book 🤣

I have to say that even as someone who reads and have read monster smut before, this was probably the most obscure for the monster alone. Syn is a Perveyour who is poofed into existence by magic, has telekinetic powers in addition to healing magic, greenish tenticles that can grow and shorten, a pouch pocket with a sexual tentacle that spews lemon/ginger taste, he can magically detach his tentacles, has an eye stalk, no body just round ball head, no lips with sharp teeth, and one giant cyclops eye.... oh and he floats. So he is a lot to wrap your head around, to say the least. I found at times it was hard to envision what he actually looked, even with the character art because what do you mean the floating eyeball is thrusting to the point of making clapping sounds??? 😅 From that too, in some cases I found that the positions they were in were hard to imagine as well.

This book was very very very low drama, with no actual climax to it. So if you like light reading that's easy to read and relax with, then this book is the one for you.

I found that some of the information or pairings in this book alluded to information that could have previously been mentioned in another book, as if some things were common knowledge without explanation. But as someone who has never read a Lizzie Strong book before, I felt a bit out if the loop even though this book technically doesn't state it's an interconnected standalone.

Over all, I like how wild this book was in concept with the character, and I think the shock value of Syniz Vizglyat is what made this book fun and enjoyable.

Lizzie Strong continues to be one of my favorite monster romance authors because she writes kink with so much heart and humor. Her stories are always grounded in enthusiastic consent, curiosity, and relationships that don’t fit into neat little boxes, and that’s something I deeply appreciate. This book is fun, spicy, and surprisingly sweet. Monster romance that’s inclusive, kind, and unapologetically indulgent? I’m always here for it.

I also really love that Strong keeps getting me to enjoy romance tropes I normally don’t vibe with. She somehow takes things I usually scroll past and makes me intrigued by filtering them through monster romance. It’s honestly nice to lose some of my genre FOMO in a way that still feels tailored to my tastes.

That said, this one felt a little lighter than I wanted. The shorter length meant the relationship and plot didn’t have quite as much room to breathe, and the medical angle (something I was especially curious about) stayed pretty surface-level. That’s only a complaint because I know what this author can do when she really digs into her setups, and here it felt more like a backdrop than a fully explored element.

Overall, this was mostly just fun and spicy with a sweet emotional core, even if it didn’t hit the depth I was hoping for. If you’re in the mood for cozy monster romance with humor, consent-forward dynamics, and a lot of tentacles, this is an easy, enjoyable read.

Thanks so much to the author for the complimentary copy. This review is voluntary and all opinions are my own.

**I received an ARC of this title from the author. This is my honest review**

I will admit that when I saw this title's early promo's on social media that I was hesitant about the idea of a floating, tentacled, eye-ball having a romance. I actually glossed over the fact that our other character is a satyr. Syn is such a sweetheart and I love Leilianna's spunk.

I've read some books by Lizzie Strong before though, and decided on a whim to give it a chance when the ARC landed in my inbox.

This was a really fun read and I may have learned some new things about myself because of it. The premise of a peeping tom falling in love with the person they paid to peep on, could become icky, moral ground quite quickly. It's handled beautifully here and in a way that makes perfect sense. I love the way consent and safe practices are worked seamlessly into the story. The spice is well written and spaced out nicely. I appreciate that both characters hold onto their power in the relationship despite the underlying power dynamics at play (e.g. their work positions).

I always treat spice as a delicious side-dish to the story. I don't need it to enjoy the book but it can be really nice to have. This book is a hefty portion of spice. We do get some character development moments, and a couple side characters popping in to help build the story. But it heavily focuses on their agreement and eventually their relationship. It didn't feel overly done, but at the end I do wish we could spend a bit more time in the world itself and learning about the characters just a little bit more. The other books I've read by Lizzie Strong, I've read out of publication order and with some time in between so I'm probably missing details about the connections between the ones set in the King's Fall universe.

However, it exceeded my expectations for a fun, spicy, monster romance read. Solid 4 star read for me!

Oh my goodness. The absolute 𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙩𝙝 in this book! I loooove it🤭 I fully expected to love all of the tropes in Eye See You when I applied to be an ARC reviewer. What I did not expect was for Lizzie to attach me to these characters as if I was with them for 500+ pages and not 152! I would read a whole series about every. Single. Character.

- Grey’s Anatomy vibes/setting
- Workplace monster romance
- Head Healer x Nurse
- Tentacled MMC
- Fauna FMC
- Independent MCs
- Mid-30s FMc

Syn and Lelianna’s relationship could be classified as friends to lovers, but that’d be too simple. They’re both incredible smart, independent, know-what-they-want people (monster?). Lelianna wants a partner that can give her the space she craves, and she finds all of that and more with Syn!

And Syn?! As Head Healer and perfectionist with some k*nks and the same wants as Lelianna, they’re perfect together! I loved how their relationship progressed, and how confident they both are.

Eye See You taking place in a hospital made it super simple to grasp the world building without needed drawn out explanations. This was definitely more smut than plot… Okay, the smut IS the plot! BUT there was plenty of Healer/ER action and character scenes that there wasn’t a boring or repetitive word 👏🏻

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

👀Tropes: Dual POV Monster Romance with a peeping tom, sugar daddy/baby, and a workplace where he's a surgeon and she's a nurse.

☠️CW: Sexual Content, Violence, Injuries, Hospital theme, Patient Death

🪢Kinks: Peeping Tom Kink, Sex Work, Glory Hole, Tentacles, Free-Use, Cock Warming, Phone Sex

📚Read Method: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

✨My Thoughts: Good GOSH this was hot. Syn was a little scary at first, but um.... can I have one please and thank you?? I didn’t know I had a thing until that thing happened and now all I want is that thing. Lelianna is adorable, smart, kind, and such a good girl. I love the consent and confidence in this book. It’s chalk full of it and I just adore Lizzie for this. This is a smutty quick read and I highly recommend this book.

💖Quotes: “Dragons above safe my filthy soul... if I have one, that is.”
"Oh baby, I do love watching you. I love seeing you enjoy things. I love seeing you being unashamedly you. I love you, Lelianna Crow, and I should have just proposed to you the first day we met... because there's no one made more for me, than you."

Let me start by saying not every kink explored in this book was my favorite. Practically the only thing I was here for was the tentacles. (Exposing myself on main, and not in the fun way, lmao) Fortunately, that didn't matter much once I started reading. I loved the voice in this story; very fun, and had me trying to hide a smirk while reading. The spicy scenes were fun to read, too, even (or especially) the aforementioned "not my favorite kinks". I could've done with a little more conflict, but I'm also new to the "cozy" style genres and I didn't mind too much having less edge than I'm used to. Also, learned a lot more about medical stuff and BDSM play than I expected to, so I consider this a net gain! The worldbuilding, being a modern-day fantasy realm, is also something I've been playing with in my own (unpublished) writing, and was very fun and easy to get into as an avid Dimension 20 watcher and D&D player. I found myself getting so into the story that when I turned the last page and saw the author bio instead of a new chapter, I audibly sighed in dismay. Needless to say this won't be the last time I read Lizzie Strong's work!

So this was totally unhinged in the way only monster romance can be, and honestly? I respect the commitment.

Grey’s Anatomy energy but make it alien and horny. A floating eye with tentacles and a peeping tom fantasy. Science truly has gone too far - and I mean that affectionately 🤣

This book was fun, weird, oddly sweet, and fully leaned into its premise without shame. Lelianna finding the most unhinged help wanted ad in existence and immediately going “yes, this is for me” was iconic behaviour. Zero hesitation. Syn being both a socially awkward perfectionist healer and her anonymous voyeur? Messy. Deliciously messy.

The chemistry worked better than it had any right to. Their flirtation, the sugar baby setup, the “why weren’t we already doing this?” realisation - it all flowed in a way that made emotional sense, even when the logistics absolutely did not.

That said, full honesty: my brain occasionally short-circuited trying to visualise what was happening. Sometimes I had to pause, reread, tilt my head, and go, “Okay… sure… tentacle physics, got it” Immersion took a hit here and there because, respectfully, he is a literal floating eye. Suspension of disbelief was working overtime 🤣

Still, it was charming, playful, and clearly written with a lot of heart. Totally weird, totally lovely, and a great time if you enjoy your romance unconventional and your love interests non-humanoid 👁️🐙

This is a fun hospital workplace monster romance set in the King’s Fall universe, but it works as a standalone.

Satyr nurse FMC Lelianna isn’t much for dating or romance, but a want ad for a voyeuristic encounter catches her eye and she jumps at the chance for some fun (and the gold). It turns out the mysterious poster is her coworker, tentacled purveyor healer MMC Syn. What starts as a peeping Tom encounter quickly leads to many more escapades and multiple HR violations.

This book was such a blast. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get into it since the MMC is basically a tentacled eyeball monster, but I was hooked from the start, not just by the spice, but by the chemistry and whimsy of the characters. It’s nicely balanced with hospital workplace drama alongside the romance.

Another smash from Strong! I can’t wait to see what she has planned next in the King’s Fall series.

This all starts off with Lelianna seeing a listing for a "play" scene with the option of it going all the way. Completely anonymous, no strings attached and she gets to walk away with a chunk of change. Leliana has always been adventurous so this is right down her alley. She dives into this experience head first and little does she know who is waiting on the other side....

I loved Syniz and Leliana's dynamics from the beginning. There was that "they definitely could if they didn't work together." Once that line was crossed, there was no going back for them. And that dynamic in the bedroom...or wherever they were was so freaking hot. That man is so magical on so many different ways. 😉 I can't even pick one scene as the most memorable like that's how good the spice is 🥵

Also want to add, though it is a fictional/magical universe, the depiction of Healthcare was very realistic and respectful to the workers who deal with similar situations (minus the curse portion).

Definitely want more from this hospital and the BDSM club please 🙏

This monster romance was pure chaos and spice from start to finish. Lelianna is bold, clever, and just the right amount of trouble while Syn is equal parts perfectionist and irresistible tease. Watching them navigate their world, full of tension, flirtation, and moments that made me grin like I was in on their secrets, was absolute perfection. They are pulled to each other in a way that is beautiful and genuine and I loved every second of it.

This book also showed up exactly when I needed it. After a truly crap day at work, diving into Lelianna and Syn’s story pulled me out of my mental slump and reminded me why I love reading so much.

The push and pull between them had me imagining all the ways things could get deliciously tangled and oh did things get tenta'tangled (wink). Heart, heat, and mischief collide perfectly here with so much spice, it leaves me smiling long after I closed the book.

Thank you so much Lizzie Strong for trusting me with this ARC and for writing a story that brought me so much joy.

A very good doctor/nurse story with lots of spice!

This story is very kinky, which I expected from the gorgeous cover, but it’s also written very well with a snappy narrative that lets you know what’s what. Lelianna is a nurse with very limited free time, and she has no hesitation doing what she wants on her days off.

Half the time I was laughing at Syn’s horny antics in the hospital, and the other half I was tearing up at how sweet he is bringing Lelianna her favorite breakfast. I’ve never liked doctor/nurse books because needles scare me, but the few mild gore scenes on the operating table use fantasy tools, so it’s not as graphic.

This story is, as the author describes it at the end, “full of absolute chaos… Queer literature that is Kink Friendly, Consent Heavy, Monster Smut.”
I agree completely. Thank you Lizzie Strong for this ARC.

THIS BOOK IS SMUUUUUUTTTT!!!!! This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into. I’ve read a few monster smut books before but this one was nothing like I’ve read. I was pleasantly surprised by what this book brought to the table. The author did a good job of using imagery so that the reader could fully envision what was going on at any moment in the book. The author also made sure to establish a connection between the characters that made the progression of the main characters relationship that just made it *chefs kiss* If you love monster smut THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!!

Thank you to the author for a copy of this book

This book is absolutely unhinged and I loved every minute of it. Grey’s Anatomy vibes, but make it monster romance with a floating, tentacled peeping Tom and zero shame about it. I went in expecting chaos and spice, and that is exactly what I got. Yes, the smut is absolutely the point here!

Lelianna is confident, flirty, and knows exactly what she wants, while Syn is a perfectionist healer with very specific kinks and a surprising amount of charm for a literal eyeball with tentacles. Their chemistry is instant, playful, and sweet beneath all the filth. If you want bold, kinky monster smut that fully commits to the bit and has a great time doing it, this delivers.

Great short and spicy workplace monster romance between a floating tentacle monster and a satyr.

Lizzie’s monster romances are always fun, filled with spice and have unique monsters. This book is perfect if you’re looking for pure smut with a hint of a plot.

“A pleasure to rip people up with you as always, Healer Syn.”
“Why didn’t she think of Peeping Tom before? This fantasy was everything!”
“Filthy, naughty nurse, how did I know you’d like to put on a performance?”
“Oh, you really should have been an actress, my filthy little nurse.”
“You’re a walking HR violation, you know that?”
“So…you’re into edging too?”

As a healthcare worker myself I always find romance in the setting a little fun and silly. These two high stress characters find a great way to blow off steam. I adore the dynamic between them and the sugar baby vibes. I love how Lizzie Strong makes all of the fantasy characters work so well together and Syn and Leliana are very well done as always! Peeping Tom and bored and ignored vibes abound!

5/5 spicy peppers for this one!

4/5 over all because of a few parts that made me personally cringe... but I have a hardcore sense of justice and the idea of boinking even during a magical OR set off my healthcare worker heebie jeebies lol

I love the idea of a Giant floating tentacled MMC and even better, a Sugar Baby dynamic and an adorable sassy Satyr FMC! Eye See You is a fun, spicy & kinky read set in a magical fantastical health care facility, it doesn’t take itself too seriously and it’s great representation of alternate relationship styles, a HEA couple aren’t always attached at the hip. Lizzie I don’t know how you keep writing ridiculous books I didn’t know I needed but I clearly needed this one. Like come on dude! Essentially a beholder romance book??

Welp I loved it and others should read it too haha if you love a monster romance book to make you question how you got here. You have come to the right place!

This is an unconventional relationship my weird little heart dreams of, it’s affectionate without being overbearing, there’s communication, there’s peeping tom nonsense (all consensual). This book is short and it was great, i highly suggest picking this up when it’s out!

Short and spicy, this novella did not disappoint! As always, Lizzie Strong’s Kings Fall universe is a treat and I love getting to see a glimpse of the health care field in it (even as the mention of a cursed rectum haunts me). Syn and Liliana are definitely not traditional and she does not kid about the trigger warnings/menu at the front, so make sure you read, but I wouldn’t say this was a heavy book at all. Honestly it was spice with a suggestion of a plot to keep the spice going but I enjoy a book like that now and again lol! I did like the ending and it’s nontraditional reasoning. I hope sweet supportive Danny gets her HEA in a future book!

Loved this story. These two are the perfect creature version of Greys Anatomy lol. But with a very different twist to it. And not just that they are a giant eye with tentacles and a satyr. They put the kink into kinky.
They have worked together for a few years and are flirty coworker friends before an answered ad moves them into a personal zone.
Syn is a great perfectionist surgeon and Lelianna is a great nurse. They work perfectly together. She is a staff favorite. But they both have a different personality outside of work. They are perfect together outside of work it seems too. And for someone that doesn’t want a permanent relationship Lelianna finds Syn just made for her.

Lelianna is a Satyr nurse who accepts a side job that seems too good to be true. She must do some acts for a peeping Tom that has too many tentacles to count. How did she not put the pieces together sooner? The peeping Tom just so happens to be one of the Healer's she works for 🤭

So absolutely unique and so much fun! I loved this story so much!

Lelianna and Syn have such a common relationship at the start of this book and then it transforms over and over until you get to SUCH an amazing ending! I love how each of the characters is so one of a kind on their own, even as basic as the purveyor and satyr identities, and how their individualities shape their relationship for the better.

Syn is such a thoughtful and gentle push for his nurse and it felt so warm and wholesome to read everything about him. I loved him. I was so curious how this would go based on his anatomy and I was so pleasantly surprised… and turned on!

This is hard for me because I’ve loved all of the Lizzie Strong books I’ve read however this one just wasn’t for me- and that’s okay! I liked the clear communication between the characters in terms of boundaries. It was spicy. I liked the writing, it was easy to read (something I often judge because of my dyslexia.) but I just couldn’t really get into it. I wish they connected more outside of sex, and had better communication in that regard. I didn’t really care for the characters. There wasn’t really a plot. And a couple of things felt rushed and didn’t add up. HOWEVER I still very much appreciate I got to arc read this, hence why I waited until after release to enter my review.
