Sofiya never imagined her life would spiral into darkness. Fleeing a forced marriage, she escapes into the quiet streets of Salvatovka, only to find herself drawn into a world of secrets, forbidden love, and hidden truths.
As desire and danger collide, Sofiya must navigate the delicate line between loyalty, justice, and her own heart, where every choice could have unforeseen consequences. A haunting tale of love, betrayal, and the moral shadows that bind us, where some truths must remain hidden, yet some hearts cannot let go.
Svetlana is a strong and emotional story that feels heavy in a very real way. It deals with love, loss, and difficult choices without trying to make things easy or comforting. The characters feel realistic and flawed, and the story leaves a lasting impression. It’s quiet, tragic, and powerful, and it stays with you even after the last page.
It could’ve been more describing of the surroundings, and I felt like the language didn’t match up most of the time, but that just a thing to keep in mind.
Storyline was very good loved the double plot at the end.
And I’m gonna assume the book she read before writing this was the idiot by Dostoyevsky.
