An enemies-to-lovers wolf shifter romance

Emmanuel Welsh is floundering … it seems everyone around him is moving onward and upward while he’s stuck in the past, reliving his worst memories. Supernatural hunter Jang Tae-oh is on the run. When he catches wind of a werewolf infestation in Kansas, he jumps at the opportunity. After all, traveling across the country is a great first step to escaping your abusive ex, and werewolves are so rare, it’s a hunter’s dream to catch one. Only problem is when he finds one, he denies being a werewolf and makes Tae-oh’s life impossible.

While hunting each other, they discover they have a common enemy pitting them against one another. Fighting against time to uncover the mastermind trying to kill them both, they must battle pack traditions and their own stubborn prejudices before it’s too late.

I love Emmanuel, he is such a little brat.

HUNTER AND THE HUNTED completely surprised me in the best way possible. I picked this ARC up on a whim and ended up flying through it because the tension between Emmanuel and Tae-oh was SO good.

This book balances enemies-to-lovers, paranormal suspense, and emotional healing really well. Emmanuel is messy, grieving, and honestly kind of self-destructive at the start, but there’s something deeply lovable underneath all that pain. Tae-oh is stubborn, determined, and trying so hard to outrun his past that crashing directly into a sarcastic werewolf definitely wasn’t part of his plan.

Their dynamic was easily my favorite part of the story. Watching a supernatural hunter and a werewolf constantly clash while slowly realizing they might actually be on the same side? Peak entertainment. The banter, mistrust, reluctant teamwork, and eventual emotional connection felt natural and rewarding.

I also really appreciated that the story didn’t shy away from heavier topics like trauma, abuse, and grief while still keeping the romance engaging and hopeful. Once the mystery surrounding the attacks started unfolding, I genuinely didn’t want to put the book down.

If you love:
🐺 MM Paranormal Romance
⚔️ Enemies to Lovers
🖤 Hurt/Comfort
🔥 Slow Burn Tension
🌙 Wolf Shifters
🕵️ Supernatural Mystery

…this is definitely worth checking out.

Such a fun and emotional surprise read, and now I’ll absolutely be keeping an eye out for more from Margot Primrose.

What a cute MM enemies to lovers romance. Each book in this series is a standalone, so you’re not missing anything if you haven’t read her other books, like me. This story focuses on Emmanuel and Tae-Oh and about the journey they take to find out the truth.

This story is everything! There was mystery, tension, secrets, spice, painful pasts, angsty presents, hopeful futures, common enemies, tricks & tension, risks, big feels, tears, swoons, rage, healing, and strawberries. Everything! I adore these two characters with my entire soul and could read about their lives for the rest of mine. Cannot wait to reread!

Emmanuel is a wolf shifter and top tracker.

Tae-oh is a human and monster hunter.

They meet when he is hunting him and he doesn't like it. A true meet awkward. Both are dealing with agonizing grief. Neither trusts the other. Circumstances force them together. And, eventually, hormones & a little something more get them even more *together*. It is so good!

Emmanuel has had my heart since book one and finally getting to know his history & heart was even more than I expected. He carries so much pain in his heart & mind and no amount of fluffing has silenced it. I loved seeing him get all growly & protective & possessive over his supposed enemy and slowly, eventually realize the why. And I really liked seeing him be honest with himself, start to speak truth to his past and let light back into his mind & life.

Tae-oh took some time to get to know but once I did, my heart, he had me. He has had unbelievable loss & pain in his life and has been so lonely for so long, with no hope of anything different. But he is doing what he can to make the world safer and I admire him & his heart. His pain broke my heart and I wanted so desperately for him to find hope & happiness. He deserves every good thing but he had to get to a place where he believed that and it is not an easy journey for him to get there.

Their individual journeys of learning to trust & heal are intense and so, so beautiful. Their shared story of love & finding home is so sweet, so healing.

Margot writes some of my favourite stories. Her characters are not perfect and they say & do things that are flawed, that are from the hurt & the heart. They are honest & sincere and capture the rawness of life in such a beautiful & unique way. My heart & brain adore how she writes and this paranromal small town she has created.

I received this as an ARC and am beyond thankful. This had no impact on my review.

“Day after tomorrow, library, nine AM.”
“It’s a date. I’ll bring the snacks.”
“I’ll bring the knives.”

Emmanuel had a special task of searching for a hunter who's been a liability to the pack. As he encountered hunter Tae-oh, not everything is what it seemed. They've been pit against each other and they had to team up to discover the truth.

MARGOT PRIMROSE'S BEST NOVEL YET !!!!

Yes, I'm screaming because omg, this book opened up a whole new world.

We've met Emmanuel right from the first book, and I was so intrigued by him especially with his past. We got to know him more in the second book, and I just knew that I'll love him. With that, I went into this book knowing more about him and I love following his POV and why he's built like that, essentially.

Tae-oh's a great addition to the series. I love me some Asian representation in books, and the way the author represented the Korean people, culture and heritage in this book was so well thought out. I am amaze. He's the hunter, but he's also running from his past because of what happened to his family, and his ex-relationship.

This book is enemies-to-lovers with an emphasis on the ENEMIES considering they lived off different world. Both of the characters had a shtty past, dealt with grief and coping and surviving in their own ways. When they came together, it kinda like seeing the same kind of a coin where they get each other.

To be loved is to be considered. To be loved is to be seen. My heart, I swear, I felt for both of them deeply. And I am so happy they accomplished what they wanted to do.

If I could rate this book, it would be 4.75. There's this trope that I don't like, that it's the plot twist near the end that makes me not rate this a 5-star. Hear me out. I understand why that's there, it was realistic in a way that it made sense why it's in the book. It felt like a good decision. However, I wished things could've gone differently but then again I get why.

If you haven't gathered, this is my favorite couple in the book, sorry Nathon and Sara. Looking forward to the next one! I am so excited! Margot Primrose is getting better and better.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5/5)
I’m very happy and incredibly grateful to have been given the opportunity to read The Hunter and the Hunted by @margot.primrose.romance as an ARC. (comes out april 27, go preorder!!)

This was such a fun yet unexpectedly thoughtful read. On one hand, the banter and the mystery immediately pulled me in and kept me engaged throughout—I found myself constantly wanting to know what would happen next. On the other hand, the way the book handles trauma and mental health added a depth I wasn’t fully expecting based on the first few chapters. It made the story feel more meaningful and elevated it beyond just an entertaining mystery.

I thoroughly enjoyed the main characters, and their individual struggles felt real, nuanced, and very well constructed. It was easy to connect with them and stay invested in their journeys.

Even though the side characters don’t get a huge amount of page time, what we do see of them is very well done—they’re entertaining, memorable, and easy to get attached to. (Well… most of them. Colsen, I’m side-eyeing you, but I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what the author intended.)

If I had one small complaint, it would be that at times the mystery-solving aspect felt like it was slightly left to the side. I would have loved for those parts to be a bit more in-depth and engaging, especially since the setup had so much potential for a really intricate investigation. That said, it didn’t take away too much from my overall enjoyment of the story.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable and engaging read with more emotional depth than I expected, and I’ll definitely be looking into the rest of the series.

When two wounded souls meet as enemies, will their jagged edges hurt each other, or are their broken sections a perfect fit? Find out in Hunter & The Hunted!

Emmanuel feels isolated from his pack. After the self unaliving of his boyfriend as a teen, he has suffered from severe depression. But as a shifter, he still has responsibilities to his pack - and his Alpha has a job for him. A hunter of the supernatural underground is on its way to the pack, and it is Emmanuel’s job to track them down.

On the run from an abusive ex, Tae-oh picked up a job to eliminate a dangerous pack of werewolves. Instead, he discovers a pack of wolf shifters leading unobtrusive lives. After teaming up with the wolf shifter Emmanuel to get answers, Tae-oh begins to question what he knows - while simultaneously struggling with his growing attraction.

This paranormal MM romance was really beautiful. Combining enemies to lovers (they both get a few good hits in), forced proximity and fated mates with stubbornness and past trauma, there’s a lot of personal growth to be had in this book by both characters.

I always appreciate it when characters don’t automatically heal their past trauma as soon as they meet their new love. In this case, Tae-oh and Emmanuel are the catalyst for each other’s growth and healing, but they need to do the work as individuals.

The romance is slow burn with some very spicy open door (or trailer) spice. The novel deals with suicide, depression, intimate partner control and abuse, isolation, death of family members and grief.

For a beautiful paranormal romance with some big emotional growth, look no further than Hunter & The Hunted.

I’m so happy Emmanuel was able to get his story and his own happy ending. He certainly went through hell to get it. And with some like Tae-oh, who understands what he went through and then some. I think they were perfect for each other, Emmanuel would have never been able to be with someone who didn’t understand the grief he’d been through. I loved these two from the start! The banter, the tension, the playfulness and the sadness that they both shared. I wanted them to hug and cry together just as much as I wanted to tension and spice. Emmanuel has been a favorite of mine and I definitely think he met his match in Tae-oh. I got emotional as many times as I laughed or blushed for sure.

The tension between was so good and when it finally broke, it was even better. I loved seeing them each take charge of the scene and how obsessed Emmanuel was with Tae-oh scent. They back and forth between them during those scenes was very well done. And honestly, aside from the great spice, I just wanted them to be happy. To make it out on the other side and see that everything was gunna be okay. They both went through so much and I think the ending was so real. That sometimes, a happy ending isn’t immediate. It takes time to work on yourself before you can love and accept love from someone else. I really adored this book!

Hunter & The Hunted

Okay so this isn’t my usual genre at all, but I wanted to step out and try something different with this ARC… and I’m actually glad I did 👀

Emmanuel and Tae-oh had that enemies to lovers tension right away. They’re both stubborn, both dealing with their own stuff, and watching them go from hunting each other to slowly understanding each other was really interesting.

Emmanuel… yeah he’s kind of a brat 😂 but in a way that makes you want to keep reading him. And Tae-oh had his own layers too, especially with everything he’s running from. It wasn’t just romance, there was grief, trauma, and growth mixed in.

I liked that it had action, a bigger plot going on, and not just focused on the relationship. It kept things moving.

For me personally, it’s not my go to genre, but I did enjoy it and I’m glad I gave it a shot. If you like MM, shifters, and enemies to lovers, you’ll probably really like this one.

First time reading this author and I’d be open to trying more 👏

THANK YOU FOR THE ARC OPPORTUNITY! 💕

I wouldn't normally pick up a book midpoint in a series, but I was drawn to the Korean American MC in this standalone paranormal mm romance.

I liked:
1. The cozy chase between a wolf shifter and the man hunting to kill him
2. The story about moving past trauma and self-blame
3. How Emmanuel and Tae-oh made space for each other both physically and emotionally
4. ALL the Korean food and culture references
5. The big cinnamon roll as sweet as the food he eats (AKA Emmanuel!)

I got confused by the wolf shifter vs werewolf references throughout and a couple major plot leaps. But the cozy sweetness contrasting the dark setting ultimately raised it from 2 to 3 stars for me.

Readers who like enemies to lovers, forced proximity, one bed, sassy/grumpy banter, found family, MCs in their 30s will enjoy this paranormal mm romance.

Trigger warnings: Physical, emotional and verbal abuse and gaslighting. Suicide.

Thank you Margot Primrose and Naughty Nook PR for the opportunity to read and review an early ARC copy!

***ARC REVIEW***

We've got werewolf shifters.
We've got MM.
We have a slow burn.
With tension. And banter.

Its so good! Emmanuel and Tae-oh are the goodest boys and I just wanna wrap them in the biggest hugs ever.
TAE-OH DESERVES ALL THE STRAWBERRIES AND KIMCHI HE CAN EAT
AND EMMANUEL DESERVES TO EAT HIS ICE CREAM IN PEACE.

The push and pull in this one was really great.
I love reading shifter books and Margot's take on pack dynamics has always been so different and its just so good.
So seeing it a bit more in the form of characters from the previous books was great!

This one has a few spicy moments at more towards the end of the book.
The boys really made us work for their HEA. But once they finally allowed themselves to have the love they deserved?
*chefs kiss*

But I love a good slow burn/forbidden romance/ enemies to lovers moment.
If you do too....well you better make sure you read the rest of the series first! You 1000% need to have all of the events from the previous books to connect to.

Emmanuel's story yay! I was beyond excited for this one and it was awesome! Tae-oh & Emmanuel made the perfect fluffy enemies to lovers arc. I like that Tae-oh made the decisions he needed to make for them to have a healthy relationship and that he was able to finally enjoy and live his culture after his shitty ex, part of me is sad we didn't see Colson lose his head though. One stand out thing for me that's been consistent across all the Sinclaire Wolf Pack books is that as soon as I finish one, I'm so ready for the next one! I love this series wholeheartedly, the familiarity of these characters is like coming home.

Features:
- Hunter MMC
- Wolf Shifter MMC
- Enemies to Lovers
- Forced Proximity
- Slow burn
- Korean Rep
- Healing (for both of the MMCs)

Intense, emotional, and dangerously addictive. Hunter & The Hunted is a gripping enemies-to-lovers story where danger, trauma, and desire collide.

Emmanuel is stuck in his past, weighed down by guilt and memories he can’t escape, while Tae-oh is running from his own demons—trying to survive and start over.

What makes this story stand out is the dynamic:
👉 hunter vs hunted
👉 distrust vs attraction
👉 survival vs vulnerability

Their relationship is built on tension and conflict, but underneath that is something deeper—two broken people trying to find their way through pain, prejudice, and the expectations placed on them.

The plot adds urgency with a shared enemy, turning their conflict into reluctant partnership—and eventually something more.

It’s emotional, fast-paced, and layered with both action and character depth.

Hunter & The Hunted - Margot Primrose

I adore this series. These are by far one of my favorite shifter romances. I’ve been waiting for Emmanuel to have his happy ever after and I’m glad he finally got it. I loved Tae-oh and Emmanuel. I thought they had great chemistry. And I like how they healed each other. I love this authors characters and everything they write is on my must read list.

This is a MM spicy, enemies to lovers, paranormal romance, and I really enjoyed it.

Our two MMCs are Emmanuel a wolf shifter, and Tae-oh, a human hunter. After meeting each other, they end up working together in an uneasy alliance.

Both men have pain and tragedy in their past, and this story really pulled on my emotions as they worked to move forward. It ended up being a really sweet story of redemption and discovering where you belong in the world.

This was my first introduction to the Sinclaire Wolf series, but I might have to add to others to my TBR, as I really enjoyed this.

This was such an amazing read. I loved the way it started out and how Tae-oh was so wrong about who Emmanuel was. They had such a funny start to their relationship, talk about forced proximity. Them working together to figure out who set them up was honestly pretty funny at times because they were so unwilling to trust each other. Emmanuel was so cute with the ways he tried to take care of Tae-oh. The chemistry between these two was fantastic and the “eff it” moment was well worth the wait. The big battle at the end was super tense and I was honestly worried about what was going to happen. The way things ended up playing out was absolutely perfect though. There’s not a ton of spice in this but the stuff we got was really yummy.

So, I made the grave mistake of not reviewing this as soon as I finished it. Because I fear I do not remember damn near anything about this - which is part of why it's getting three stars.

As I was reading, there were a few things I really enjoyed. I loved the references to Tae-oh's Korean culture, I remember thinking it was cozy and a little campy, and I was intrigued by the hunter vs shifter angle. That's really all I remember though.

This had good vibes, though! I do love me some MM Romance, and I would definitely recommend this to people I know that also enjoy MM, but the fact that it didn't really stick with me over the last two days is telling.

Thank you so much to Margot Primrose and Naughty Nook PR for providing me a gifted copy. I was under no obligation to read or review, and all opinions are my own.

As someone who had drifted away from PNR, I can truthfully say Hunter & the Hunted has rekindled my love for the genre! Every time I picked this book up, I did not want to put it down. Emmanuel and Tae-oh both go through so much development both on their own and as a pairing, and it is illustrated beautifully by the author. I fell in love with both the MCs immediately, and them being a true enemies-to-lovers pairing really sealed the deal for me. This book does touch on some heavier topics, but I think this was done in a way that was thoughtful and tasteful. I can honestly say that I loved this book and I will be going back to read the rest of the series.

A paranormal enemies to lovers romance that blends action, emotional conflict, and character driven development. The story explores themes of trauma, trust, and prejudice through two opposing perspectives that are forced into alignment.
The relationship evolves gradually as external pressure and a shared threat push the characters together. Both leads are shaped by their pasts, which informs their decisions and adds complexity to their interactions.
The pacing balances action with emotional moments, creating a story that is both tense and reflective. Best suited for readers who enjoy angsty paranormal romance with layered character dynamics

I have such a soft spot for this one.

There’s just something about the way these two come together that feels messy at first, but in a way that slowly turns into something really meaningful. I loved sitting with that shift and watching it unfold.

Emmanuel and Tae-oh both carry a lot, and you can feel that in how they move around each other. It’s not instant comfort, it’s more like learning, adjusting, and eventually finding something that fits.

I also didn’t expect to get as attached to everything surrounding them, but I really did. It added so much to the overall feel of the story.

ARC read -

I hadn’t read any other books in the series but I liked this book and will be picking up more!

I love reading MM romances and I thought this was an easy read that really delved into trauma and working to make relationships work. I would definitely recommend this to people I know that also enjoy MM, it wasn’t too much and could pick up where I left off easily.

I really liked the differences between the two main characters including the nods to their different cultures and how they learn about each other.

this was a really good shifter romance. It is book 4 in a series but if your like me you can read it without knowing the others hahaha. It is a MxM romance and it seems like i have been on a roll with them. It is also an enemies to lovers so that was a nice trope thrown in there. Fast paced to but to me it felt like it flowed. Just seeing Tae-Oh and Emmanuel fight and then want to kiss each other lol I wanted to throw them into a room hahaha. Well i guess they were in a rom together lol forced proximity at its finest! Cannot wait to read the other ones.

This was a fun paranormal romance. The dynamic between Emmanuel and Tae-oh was brilliant. Its how we all want our enemies to lovers tropes to play out. The world that they live in is also a cool concept that I haven't come across yet in my paranormal dabbles.

The ending had my heart in a chokehold. I wasnt able to put it down and had to see where Emmanuel went with everything going on. MM romances are always such a sweet thing to read, and the emotions feel more intense sometimes. I love the humor between our boys.

Def recommend to anyone looking for a fun and sweet read.

Emmanuel & Tae-oh

This was my first book by Margot Primrose and I'm so glad that I applied for this arc.  Tae-oh is a hunter and Emmanuel is a wold shifter who ends up working together to track down who was after Emmanuel and his pack.  These men have pain from their past and find comfort in each other.  The banter between them had me laughing several times throughout.   I am so happy they both got their happy ending.

Thank you Margot Primrose and Naughty Nook PR for the opportunity to arc this book early!

i got an arc of this book and devoured it in 3 days! was a very fun read, had a great way of introducing the characters and I fell into the story so easily. i was needing something to help me get my mind off some of the world and this was a beautiful world to stumble into. Also, don't need to have read any of the previous books to enjoy this one. zero doubt it would add but it was a great book without having read the previous stories in the series

Jang Tae-oh + Emmanuel

Hunter + The Hunted is a fun engaging enemies to lovers book. The mystery part keeps you engaged throughout the whole book. The MCs interactions with one another are great AND the BANTER is so so good. The characters themselves are individually struggling throughout the book BUT it is handled so well. I believe that it added another layer to the characters.

I really enjoyed Hunter + The Hunted. This was a great addition to the series.

I absolutely adored this installment of the Sinclaire Wolf Pack series. I have been waiting since Book 2 for Emmanuel to get his love story and HEA. This was such a delightful MM enemies-to-lovers romance full of a great deal of heart and delicious banter. Both Emmanuel and Tae-oh are so beautifully broken and damaged. I enjoyed both of their stories and seeing their love help each other heal.

I highly recommend this entire series.

I enjoyed this book greatly. It wasn't very spicy, but it was still a good romance story. I really liked Emmanuel and Tae-oh, they both deserved to find love and happiness. I was almost in tears when Tae-oh walked away from Emmanuel. I was so happy when they got their HEA. If you like MM paranormal romance then definitely check this one out.
