When a friend asks Charity Styles to help with a desperate and very personal rescue mission, she expects danger—but she doesn’t expect to come face to face with a discarded lover from her past, now the head of a ruthless cartel. DJ Martin’s son has been kidnapped, thrusting Charity into a relentless chase above and below the waters of the storm-battered Mexican coast. Although she agreed to help, she expected an open partnership, not a constant web of lies and deceit.
As gunmen close in and treachery multiplies, Charity faces a gauntlet of assassins, explosions, and ambushes at every turn. But the biggest threat may come from DJ himself, whose secrets and betrayals keep mounting as time runs out.
With the fate of an innocent boy at stake, as well as her own survival, Charity must outsmart lethal enemies and trust her instincts before the kidnappers’ doomsday clock hits zero.
In this high-stakes race against time, Charity Styles will risk everything to keep her promise to a friend and complete her mission.

It didn't take long to figure out that this was not a Stinnett written book. I have read every one of his books over the years. As he mentioned it has been 3 years since a Charity book and I must reread that last book again to compare. It was hard to just keep reading this one. I'll revise or rewrite my review after. Sorry, Wayne. Some of you tropical authors have added cowriters to your books. Some work out OK, some don't. Maybe I'm just getting older and brain is changing. I'll leave it at that.
Really disappointed in this story. I love all of Wayne Stinnett’s series/books but this one didn’t read like a typical Wayne Stinnett novel. It seemed like it was quickly thrown together with very little thought in the characters or plot. This one seemed thrown together haphazardly. This one was co-authored which might explain the lack of good storyline. As a result I have no interest in reading any books written by or co-authored the by this person.
Great story line , Kept me wondering how things would unfold and turned out My only disappointment is when the author revealed cgseutys hair hair color. It didn’t match with my visual of what charity looked like. Maybe I missed it in the preceding books. Maybe it’s the woman touch AS co author
First, I am a Wayne Stinnett fan. I have faithfully read every fiction book that he has written but Indulgent Charity was a major disappointment. Convoluted and confusing plot left me with the feeling that it was two different stories awkwardly pasted together. Stick with Jesse, a character and storyline that you have developed so well.
The dual storyline concept I didn't like at all whereas the first dragged and lacked the usual excitement and intrigue the second was too short and rushed, introducing names and characters useless to the story. Overall, like I said, not the norm and left me wanting!
The latest books by Stinnett became SO technical re boats etc that thee are mostly no storyline. Ths collaberation, is his saving grace. The Jesse books could REALLY benefit from this too. Seriously!
It's been a long time since we have had a Charity book. It surely didn't disappoint. Lots of new folks in this adventure who just might be around for the next book. It's great to have Charity back again.
Indulgent Charity is another exciting Charity Styles novel. Wayne and Sharon wrote a seamless story bringing their characters together. I enjoyed it very much. A fun read.
Charity's adventures never fail to get better in every story. Wayne teams up with amazing writers to give the books that extra edge to keep you riveted right till the end.
I have been reading Wayne for years I have not read any of Sharon's. I do not think that the combination works well. Wayne if you don't want to continue writing the series just kill her off and let it be. Thanks for your stories. John
Good storyline for adventure you get two nice to see Charity interact with Fin hope there is more in the future! Is Charity really done with DJ we’ll have to wait and see glad to hear more Charity coming!
Too much gratuitous sex and unacceptable language. Plot was unnecessarily complex at times. Am not going to keep reading unless language, ready we and plot are not cleaned up.
I have read all the books and this one was a challenge to get through….i will give charity another try but she might have met her match with bad storylines
