Second-chance romance, found family, and country-music vibes
This book was so dang good and took me straight through the feels. It’s the kind of story that reminds you to appreciate the people God places in your life—for all the right reasons.

This book absolutely sucked me in!! I devoured it in 24 hours!! From the beginning I was invested in these characters and the struggles they had been through! This is a second chance romance, but also felt like a redemption journey for Tucker. This had so much emotional depth, character growth, and a love you were pulling for.

I fell so quickly in love with Sunni and her bubbly, kind personality. Despite her past, she was just always there to be in friends corners and willing to help. & Tucker, while living with his past mistakes, was a swoon worthy MMC who was so down bad for Sunni.

Together these two had the most undeniable connection that shined through even in their toughest moments. Both growing and healing together in such a beautiful way! This is such a great story of healing, second chances, and finding where you belong. An emotionally beautiful ride with a little bit of a twist I wasn’t expecting!! The perfect found family & a badass best friend that equally had me hooked!

I can’t wait for more from this author!!

this one snuck up on me!

This was not an instant love for me—mostly because Tucker tested my patience right out of the gate. I didn’t trust him. I side-eyed his choices. I fully prepared myself to tolerate him for the sake of the story… and then something shifted.

And let me tell you—Sunni Hayze? Absolute FMC perfection. She’s strong without being hardened, emotional without being weak, and so deeply human. I loved her voice, her boundaries, her heart. She’s the kind of heroine you root for fiercely because she knows her worth even when it hurts.

What really got me, though, was the realization at the end: this wasn’t just a second-chance romance.

It was Tucker’s redemption story all along.

Once that clicked, everything fell into place. His mistakes, his distance, his growth—it all mattered. Watching him confront who he was, who he’d hurt, and who he needed to become completely won me over. By the end, I wasn’t just forgiving him… I was cheering for him.

This book is emotional, layered, and quietly powerful. If you love second chances, flawed characters, and a redemption arc that actually feels earned, this one is worth the ride—even if you don’t love the MMC at first. Trust the process. 💔➡️❤️

I literally fell in love with these characters. The book gives me forever my girl (movie) vibes and I’m here for it. Who doesn’t want that kind of love! And everyone needs a beat friend like the FMC has. Family isn’t always blood!
Love the story and I can’t wait to get into book 2!
