I definitely enjoyed seeing this universe wrap up and I’d say 4/5 issues worked for me. Unfortunately the last ending was just way too rushed and everything was resolved too simply.

Talk about falling at the last hurdle. The last two years of the excellent Ultimate Universe have led to...this?
The barrier around Latveria has fallen, and the Maker is free. Oh, wait, no he's not! We get two issues of time travel stuff with Immortus that basically goes nowhere, then another reason to keep him contained within the City for another two issues, and the final confrontation is essentially just everyone throwing lasers at one another while the Maker taunts them.
Deniz Camp's Ultimates series was so good all the way through, but this just feels shoddy. There's about enough plot for 2 issues, stretched to 5, and all the machinations that the Maker is said to have had for literally a thousand years are undone because....Doom is sad? It's disappointing, and not really worthy of what came before it either.
The artwork is also kind of all over the shop. Jonas Scharf draws most of the book, but it's rushed and rugged, while Marvel grabbed Terry Dodson to draw some of the Outside The Dome pages, which essentially boils down to him drawing maybe three pages an issue, and even those aren't very good.
We end with a whimper, rather than a bang. Very poor all around, and not what I'd hoped for from any involved. If this is how the Ultimate Universe ends, maybe begging for it to come back isn't a good idea after all.

What a messy end to a product line that really never felt like it found its footing. The Ultimate universe was something I had high hopes for, especially as it was released alongside the Absolute line from DC, but unfortunately I have struggled time and again to find any enjoyment from this world, and this closing event encapsulates that well. The narrative bends beneath the various plotlines that need to be tied up, the various series that need to have their due before the event concludes, and the pressures of living up to Hickman's opening event. It all becomes a jumbled mess by the end, and the conclusion in no way feels earned or enjoyable. Honestly, if I skipped this event and just read the outro issue (Finale), I feel like I would have more satisfied with my time spent, which is never a good sign. Folks will end up reading it to try and find some closure, and I hope others have better luck than I did.

Jeebus, this finale was underwhelming. It's a real shame because most of the individual titles were gems. This felt like milking a cash cow though. Spider-Man, Iron Lad, Doom and America Chavez futz with Doom in the Eternal City or whatever it's called. Everybody else just has nonstop fights that don't fit together here. Speaking of things that don't fit together, the Dodson's art and Jonas Sharf's artwork. They look like polar opposites. None of it looks all that polished. I'm guessing Marvel forced them to rush yet another miniseries out. Ahem, it's a miniseries you knew was coming. Get ahead.

The setup is ambitious and the art (especially from Jonas Scharf and the Dodsons) looks strong throughout, but the story feels rushed and overly dense for only 136 pages. Key character moments and long-running threads get shortchanged, and the “era-defining” payoff lands more with a thud than a bang.
It’s readable and has some solid action sequences, but as a conclusion it feels more functional than satisfying. A mixed end to what had been a more promising experiment.

Following through the entirety from the start till the end of a universe as it comes out in single issues is definitely an experience. With Hickman and Deniz at the helm, it felt like a guaranteed banger from day one.
Sadly, it was ultimately derailed by the corporate money psychos with their donkey decisions. Still, Im glad that Deniz got to wrote some incredible stories here, his pen game was always on fire until it wore off and him retiring his pen for Marvel. It's been fun, thanks Deniz!

Holy low-ratings, Batman!
Like so many crossover events, this was quite messy. Unlike most crossover events, it had a strong core and a heartfelt conclusion. This doesn't measure up to Camp's Ultimates book, but it's still a Herculean achievement that this is decent in the first place. Quite enjoyed it!

The ultimate bad finale to the ultimate universe that feels like a total waste of time. The lead up to the show down with the maker was so good with all the titles but this just fails at sticking the landing. Terrible writing and art for what should be a banging finale.

That felt like a poorly paced and poorly drawn mess. A couple of nice sequences, but I definitely expected something better than this from the quality of both The Ultimates and Ultimate Spider-man books. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

Found the actual ending somewhat satisfying but everything in this tie-in that led up to it was just dull. Also, killing off Spider-Man then bringing him back just felt really cheap.

Ending felt rushed and didn’t tie in all the stories as I would have liked it too. Lot of potential here that was not even close to being used.
