I absolutely loved this novella, a great addition to the Increment series!

Seth is just a fun 'golden retriever' who wears his heart on his sleeve & although he's a member of the Increment team so has seen death & destruction, he has an innocence about him. Whilst Tristan is more battle worn, not only from the military side but also from his childhood, he's more wary, more cagey & regulated in all his actions, so when the sparks start to fly between them it is beautiful as they are the Ying & Yang to each other, with their hearts slotting together seamlessly.

It does give some depth to their characters & shows 'the other side' to both their personalities as we have only seen snippets of the 'military' persona so far in the series. It is an MM romance, so their is some quite graphic bedroom spice but most definitely doesn't detract from the plot line, but enhances & really shows how deep their bond runs, even if they don't realise it.

Another novella that I would definitely recommend you don't miss in this series as it gives life & texture to more of the team & overall storyline arc.

I had the honour to be asked by the author to edit this along with 2 other lovely ladies.

For me this is more of a character driven book. There is an over arching plot that is woven throughout this series but there isn't much of the main plot in this novella.
This book focuses more on the start of a relationship between two of the Increment team, Seth and Tristan.
While I like Tristan, I find Seth a little much at times. I think his age and lack of experience in any kind of serious romantic relationship, not just one with a man, makes some of his reactions to things a little OTT.
That is not to say that Tristan doesn't do and say things that make him look like an idiot at times but for me he just comes off less annoying.
I am interested where they go on in the series (I may know more thank to the author, and I'm not telling!)
I think what would have made this a little better for me would be maybe something where they got to show off their military skills. While I enjoyed their time together, that was what I felt was missing to give it that edge.
I definitely recommend this entire series!
