i liked this series! the writing wasn’t the most amazing writing but i enjoyed the premise and the conclusion even if it wasn’t something i’d personally pick myself. i do prefer a HEA but it made sense for this series not to have one so i totally understand that.
Lilah aka Bunny got the revenge she so desperately needed. she was able to finally come into who she truly needed to be. not conditioned, not owned, herself and she has to kill the two men who has done it to her. it was the only way to be set free and while she has a long way to go for recovery, she can do that herself and not with gabriel and nathan warping her and conditioning her.
it was sooo amazing to read the sweet revenge she got on nathan. everyone around him crumbling. everything he thought he had, his perfect girl turning on him as she should. fuck i hate him it was so nice to see him die. from the moment he came in the second book there was something off about him, i just felt it and him being the bad guy just affirmed it, im so glad she got him or was rewarding.
gabriel i liked, while hes the lesser of two evils and deserved to die too, i liked his ending and you could really feel he did love her in his own fucked up way, and i’m happy he helped bring nathan down and im happy she brought gabriel down at the same time. they all deserved the ending they got and lilah free even though that ending with their father coming into play, he’s intriguing for sure !
one annoying note. the repetition. if i had to hear the same line one more time i was gonna throw the book “monika. their sister murdered and buried in an unmarked grave outside of miami” like ?? how many times did that need to be repeated legit on every page it was said like ? and so many repeated sentences that were not needed like we just read it, your reader is smart they can remember i promise LMAO
but other than that i enjoyed the series !

Of course, this was going to be the book that brought me out of my reading slump!! I’ve been WAITING for this book to drop. I flew through the first two, and it’s safe to say I flew through this one too. I think it took me just under three hours to finish!
This book had me SCREAMING!!! The first two books had me going through a rollercoaster of emotions, and this was no different.
The writing in this book is so good. I can feel Bunny’s emotions; you feel a part of the story, not just reading one. I felt fear, confidence, confusion, power, and most of all, manipulated. Why do I know that Gabriel is bad but always fall for him and end up believing him? The writing is so good he’s manipulating me too, LOL. Props to Jeanette because I am always convinced by him, and maybe that’s just me.
MONICA???? OH MY GOSH!! Enough said. If you’ve read this book, you understand the shock and genuine “what the f*ck” moment. Great twist, incredibly tragic.
I want to touch on the ending without any spoilers. I love the way Bunny handles herself and truly stays resilient throughout the series! However, the ending… I can’t wait for more. I would read more tomorrow if I could!
At the very end of the book, Jeanette reveals upcoming books in the series. I added them to my Goodreads TBR so fast. I’m so excited. I think I screamed “I need a Gabriel POV” at least ten times throughout this book, so I am very excited for that book, along with the others!
Jeanette, this book was amazing just like the others. I can’t wait for all the books to be out so you can have your own bookshelf! Thank you. This book, along with the others in this series, were therapeutic in a way, along with a great story to go along with it.

didn’t resolve anything
There were so many points of repetition in this book, and so much filler that I skimmed a lot of it. And now there’s a whole extra saga? Just too much. Not worth the read at all.

Extremely repetitive and some very unnecessary chapters towards the end. The amount of times "you are extraordinary" "The word was _____ wrapped inside of _____" and various other repeated sentences got boring and old quite quickly
