This was a very entertaining read. I loved the idea of a Pride Train with all of the various activities to get people mixing, and the variety of party-goers on the trip. I wondered how many travelers there were, and if extra cars were added to the train at each stop when more participants arrived. Having time to get off the train in a new place for a couple of hours was fun, and the trip ending in San Francisco for Pride week and the parade was fitting.

Finn and Maurice noticed each other from the original sighting, and the connection started immediately. Finn continued to flirt and meet new men, but his focus was squarely on Maurice, where he was, who he was with, and what he was doing, and Maurice was the same with Finn. I got a kick out of Mr. Santos and his almost fatherly care toward Finn, keeping an eye on him, making sure he was safe. Safe was one of the words Finn thought of when he was with Maurice. Maurice listened to him, made sure he was comfortable and got consent for anything they did, giving Finn permission to ask for what he wanted, and granting him the power to say no. Finn felt seen and cared for, ready to commit to Daddy Maurice, and hope for a future plan together for them. Theo and David were also becoming a couple, and as things progressed, it looked like the new friendship with Theo would become a new friend for Finn as part of his future relationship with Maurice.

The attraction between both couples developed naturally and realistically, given the speed with which the connections were made. Sometimes you just know within the first few hours or days. It was satisfying to see Finn and Maurice, and David and Theo ready to embrace a new chapter in life moving forward to face the future together.

A fun, feel-good romance that perfectly captured the excitement of a Pride celebration while delivering a sweet connection between two very different men. The setting alone made this stand out for me set on a luxury train crossing the country filled with Pride events, new friendships, and endless opportunities for romance.

Finn was an easy character to like. His playful confidence and habit of flirting with everyone made it even more enjoyable when he finally met someone who truly caught his attention. Watching him go from carefree teasing to genuinely wanting something more felt natural and surprisingly heartfelt. Maurice was the perfect match for him, charming, confident, and mature enough to keep Finn on his toes.

I especially enjoyed the journey aspect of the story. The train setting created a sense of adventure and made every interaction feel a little more magical. The slower moments between Finn and Maurice, whether they were talking late at night or simply enjoying each other's company, helped build a connection that felt believable despite the short timeline.

Overall, this was a light, charming read filled with warmth, flirtation, and Pride spirit. It's the kind of romance that leaves you smiling, with lovable characters, great chemistry, and a journey that proves sometimes the best part of a trip is the person you meet along the way.

Filled with laughter and camaraderie, the story culminated in the joy Pride embodies, ending on a hopeful note. Although some may find the abrupt conclusion leaves them wanting more, the promise of a happy ending is satisfying.

Rainbow Flirt is undeniably a sweet MM romance with charming moments and a lighthearted tone. The chemistry between the leads is warm, and the Pride road trip setting adds a fun backdrop. However, the story leans heavily on “near misses” and repeated miscommunication, which makes the pacing drag and sometimes frustrates rather than builds tension.

Maurice, introduced as the Daddy character, doesn’t embody that role convincingly from the outset—his portrayal feels inconsistent and lacks the authority or presence readers often expect in a Daddy dynamic. For fans of very slow-burn romances, this book delivers, but if you prefer stronger Daddy figures and tighter pacing, it may not hit the mark.

Verdict: Sweet but overly drawn out. Best suited for readers who enjoy a very slow burn and don’t mind softer Daddy dynamics.

Amazing story. Finn boarded the Pride Express with only two goals in mind. To have fun and to flirt with everyone. He was nicknamed the Rainbow Flirt. He never thought a couple stops later he would find someone who would completely change his mind.
Maurices friend, David wants Maurice to relax and have fun. So David books tickets to the Pride Express and asks Maurice to join him. Mauruce accepts but he has no expectation of finding anyone he could connect with.
The moment Maurice boards the train and sees Finn, he is smitten. Finn also falls for Maurice. But the trip is only for a week, then a few days in San Francisco for the Pride Parade. Finn and Maurice live in different states. Will the end of the trip mark the end of their relationship? Loved reading this story. Thanx.

Rainbow Flirt by Brina Brady is about an adventure on the Pride train cross country ride to end at San Francisco. Finn got on the train to meet new people and to flirt across the country.
Then Maurice walked in and Finn was a goner. Maurice was nervous about traveling on the Pride train because he always felt like he didn't belong but one look at Finn and he couldn't wait to get to know him better and explore the instant attraction he has for Finn. While exploring each other and other guests Finn finds he has a fairy godfather on the train who keeps him on track to find who he truly wants. I loved this story of being true to who you are, loving to the fullest and just having fun. Brina really knows how to bring the sweet and deep love to her stories and this one is one of my favorites.

Another Daddy/boy story, so nothing for me. Disappointing, since I rather liked Finn in the first chapter, but I'm absolutely not interested to see him managed or educated or protected or whatever.

And the way he was abused on the the Pride train which should be a safe spot but completely failed to be one left me absolutely bewildered. First the bullies who really shouldn't be there and yet no one interfered when they visibly bothered Finn in the public space, and then the train manager who threatens him for something which was basically his own fault and dares to strongly suggest to him to find a Daddy because he so obviously needs him... Really, dear author?!

I was out faster than a cheetah after this gem, not worth my time.

A true opposites attract vibe here. Finn is over the top out and very much looking for a good time on The Pride Express. Maurice is older and much more sedate. It takes the convincing of his friend David to even get on the train. The train will take three days between New York and San Francisco through 16 states, just enough time for these polar opposites to meet and fall head over heels for each other. There's also a Daddy vibe going on which truly brings these two together. A very interesting start to the series.

I love Brina's books. They are so unapologetically about romance and men who have a beautiful connection. Always beautiful levels of spice and emotional connection, and wonderfully drawn characters. This one has the fun concept of a train to Pride, and a sweet young man named Finn who flirts with everyone. But then the handsome Maurice comes on board, who Finn notices in a different way. Another sweet couple also finds their way to each other on the train, on the way to San Francisco to Pride. A wonderful story as always.

Rainbow Flirt is part of the multi author Pride Road Trip 2026 series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the whole series. This is the story of Finn and Maurice. I love Brina Brady's stories and this one fits perfectly. I loved the slow burn romance as Finn and Maurice work through their relationship. This story has some insecurities, past hurts, and miscommunication to over come. I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. I would definitely recommend this book.

Audiobook - good narration.
Story - 3 stars. I was particularly confused by many reactions to Finn and the things that happened to him. He was not well protected at first during his time in the Pride Train, and then pushed into looking for a daddy to protect him - but when he found Maurice, he was warned off all by the same train manager. This situation overshadowed the real potential of Finn as the sweet adult that he was perfectly capable of being (which doesn't mean he isn't allowed to look for a daddy relationship).

Finn and Maurice story was two parts bittersweet and one part cuteness.
It had insecurities, faulty communication, wrong assumption, past hurts, meddling characters, bad decisions made by uncertainty, doubts, and some unnecessary heartache.
They had an eventful journey until they acknowledge their feelings, establish rules, and have a really heart to heart conversation.
I also would have liked to see more about their future together as the end felt a little rushed.

Finn is on the Pride Express to San Francisco hoping to connect with someone to love. In each state it stops & picks up other passengers. The train stops in Virginia & Maurice joins the trip. Maurice is a "daddy" looking to meet "his boy". This is insta love with a twist, Maurice & Finn know they want each other, but Finn being younger, Maurice wants him to enjoy the ride & mingle with the crowd to be sure if Maurice can be his forever.

The characters were very appealing. Plot was intriguing. World building was solidly drawn. All in all a very good read. Recommend.

Finn and Maurice take the Pride Express for a trip to San Francisco from different locations for the several state experience that takes six days. Finn who is very flirty plan to find a partner who really sees and accepts him. When Maurice boards Finn is awestruck. This book is part of the Pride Road Trip series by several outstanding authors. It is fun, sweet, fast paced and romantic. Super summer read.

Fin broads the Pride Express to go across the country and along the way flirt a little. Maurce's friend talks him into going with him on the Pride Express and have a little fun. When Finn and Maurice see each other, they know that they could have something special. Maurice tells Finn that while on the train they should see other men, but he soon realizes that they belong together. I really enjoyed this book.

The title was misleading for a book that was actually rather sad and frequently disheartening. But it was a cute look at what can happen when you shut out the world and follow your heart. I was a bit surprised by how condescending many of the characters were, but I’m glad that the foursome powered through and prevailed in the end.

Delicious! Finn, expected to have a good time during the Pride Express trip. Maurice, flirts back and they both have a good time together. Both men have a bit of baggage, that makes their journey interesting. Good story, but too short. The concept of a cross country Pride Train is amazing. Great characters, nicely done.
