Fundamentals of Structural Analysis

Rate this book
Written for engineering programs where analysis is taught separately from design and for four-year engineering technology programs. Integral calculus and basic mechanics (statics/strength) are both prerequisites. This text is appropriate for applied programs. It stresses the fundamentals rather than emphasizing matrix analysis too early. Fifteen of the 18 chapters focus on statically determinate structures. The three chapters on indeterminate structures exclude coverage of matrix analysis. A fundamental topic of analysis is developed in each chapter, followed by numerous applications. Students then develop their own skills through hands-on problems.
