Mary has to secretly hide her love of painting from her family. She often sneaks away to do the forbidden craft. She and a friend sneak off to enjoy an art exhibition. Mary loves the painting she sees by a man named Vincent. One day Mary is discovered by a young man who is impressed by her work. Turns out he is Vincent, the famous painter. Her dad has a secret past and it is found out. Mary and Vincent grow to love one another but can never be together. Very short book and not a lot of meat to it. That is why I gave it this rating.

A treasure indeed
This was a wonderful fast-moving book. The characters are well developed . The author keeps you interested all the way through. It helps one see that shutting someone out can upset a whole family. Forgiveness and trust in God is the only way to be healed
