Melanie is at the end of her rope
When she loses her job, Melanie Verratti joins Addicts Anonymous in the hopes of finding a way out of the self-destructive cycle she's put herself on and make something out of her life.

He's battling devils that haunt him on a daily basis
Being a convoy escort is no laughing matter, and Andy Manners has always been one of the best escorts among his brothers of ink and steel, the Satan's Cubs MC... At least, until he got himself addicted to the very product he's supposed to protect. Now with both his life and job on the line, he must find the help he needs or risk losing it all.

Often times, different roads lead to the same destination
Their common struggle unites the two lost souls and lets them give each other the strength to resist the temptations of their past. But the shadow of relapse looms above the blissful bubble around them. Can the two see the dangers that lie ahead of their paths, or will Andy's inked brotherhood make everything fall apart and plunge them--helpless--back to the crippling grips of addiction?

EXCERPT

She giggled nervously as Andy shifted weight between legs and stuck his hands in his pockets. He was cleanly shaven and was actually wearing a button down shirt. It was interesting, considering he seemed to always wear motorcycle jackets and baggy pants.

“You clean up nice, Andy,” she complimented, grabbing her purse. “Bye, Caleb.”

“I got my eyes on you, buddy, okay?” Andy nodded, and Melanie could see he was trying not to laugh. As they walked outside, Andy looked her up and down probably noticing her high-waisted shorts over black hose.

“Melanie, would you feel more comfortable taking your car? I can give you directions.”

Melanie shook her head. “No way. I wore shorts instead of a dress so that I could ride that Harley. Don’t disappoint me now, sir.” She shook her finger at him like she was mad and then grabbed the extra helmet from the bike, straddling the back of it. “Well, c’mon, I thought first dates were supposed to be fun!” Andy chuckled and put his own helmet on as he mounted the bike. Melanie thought he looked pretty hot getting in the zone and everything.

She wrapped her hands around his waist, and she could feel, surprisingly, that his abdominal muscles were pretty tight, very strong. He must work out or something. She wondered why he hid it underneath all the baggy clothes. “You ready?” he asked her as the engine revved.

I love MC books. But this one didn't make the cut.

I had to force myself to finish and I didn't like the characters.
No wait, Rebecca was awesome but her hair is purple and of course that makes her awesome!

It didn't have the typical badass biker vibe to it that I have come to like. But I have to give the author credit for how she focused on being addicted to either drugs and alcohol.

How it can ruin your life if it gets out of hand but also how you can change your ways if you have friends and family around to help you, as well as wishing for yourself that you can get clean.

Oh wow what a great theme

I love MC romance/erotica but unfortunately they tend to have very few scenarios. This is different and good. I love this author's work and I look forward to reading all she has written.

There was nothing to keep my interest. I didn't care that the first chapter was nothing but the main character and the things she did. The two chapters were boring.

This one is not for me.
