HER FATHER HUNTED MONSTERS. NOW ONE IS WAITING FOR HER.

Quantico, Virginia. 1990.

Alexandra (Alex) Monroe is an FBI trainee whose father was a famous FBI profiler from the late 70s and early 80s.

But during a forensics exercise in the FBI’s cold case archive, Alex stumbles on a file bearing her father’s three missing women from Midland State Psychiatric Hospital in Chicago, 1975–76.

No bodies. No answers.

Buried in the interviews is a detail that makes her blood run cold, a thread that ties the case to something far too close to home.

And when Alex is chosen to accompany an agent into live inmate interviews, she’s given a chance her father never Look the monster in the eye, and find out what really happened.

With the past closing in and new evidence emerging from the DNA lab, Alex must decide who to trust, what to believe, and how far she’s willing to go to finish the work that shattered her family.

Because the truth about her father’s case isn’t just buried in the files.

It’s been waiting for his daughter.

I love stories about serial killers, but The Profiler’s Daughter by Sabrina Wade is a bit different. Alexandra Monroe is an FBI trainer. Her father had been a famous FBI profiler and she was following in his footsteps. During a training exerciase, she comes across a cold case that was never solved, three missing women from Midland State Psychiatric Hospital.

Alexandra had a past she wanted to keep buried. I love damaged characters and she carries a heavy load. It might be what makes her so good at her job. She wants answers and her persistence will prevail. She will face her demons and come out the other side whole. Answers will be found and they will come from a surprising source. The danger will come from an unexpected villain and I do love surprises.

When I began reading, Alexandra made me think of Clarissa, from the Hannibal series. And…we do have a serial killer that has her in his sights. What will he do with her, if he gets the opportunity? After all, his is locked up….for now.

How about a little romance? Just enough to round out the story, hitting all the elements that I love in a story like The Profiler’s Daughter by Sabrina Wade.

I was quickly drawn into The Profiler’s Daughter by Sabrina Wade. It was more than I expected and it kept me turning the pages the deeper I got into the story. The suspense rose as Alexandra faced her past, up front and personal. I wondered who would betray her and Sabrina Wade did a good job of keeping the doubt alive…was it him…or him…or someone else entirely? I was completely satisfied with the ending and want to congratulate Sabrina Wade for a job well done.

The Profiler's Daughter by Sabrina Wade is a smart, tense, and ridiculously well-written FBI cold-case thriller that managed to do the impossible - actually like a genre I usually avoid! This isn't just another procedural; it’s a high-octane "roller coaster" that balances a complex mystery with characters you actually want to spend time with.

The standout for me was the protagonist, Alex. There is something so refreshing about an FBI trainee who is genuinely likeable, smart, and determined without being a cliché. She doesn't take anything for granted, and her passion for the Tobias Crowe case—following in her father’s footsteps—gives the story a massive heart. Her circle of friends (Meera, Kate, and Shelby) are equally fantastic, making it easy to stay connected to the story as the book offers a fascinating look into the FBI training process.

While I usually find myself "eye-rolling" at FBI series, this one won me over completely. The plot is a masterclass in tension, building to a surprising, edge-of-your-seat ending with a truly twisty finale.

If this is the start of a series, consider me hooked. It’s rare to find a book that carries this much momentum while making you care so deeply about the people involved. This is a brilliant, 5-star win that proves even the most sceptical reader can be won over by a master of the craft!

"THE PROFILER'S DAUGHTER" is an FBI cold case thriller authored by Sabrina Wade. This marks my fifth book by Ms. Wade, and I must say, much like her previous works, I thoroughly appreciated the character development and the intricate world-building. The  narrative is rich with numerous plot twists and is replete with drama, emotional depth, betrayal, and a sufficient amount of suspense to keep readers eagerly turning the pages.

Alexander Monroe's journey to becoming an FBI profiler at Quantico begins, but a cold case from her late father's past ignites a personal mission. Join Alex as she trains and delves into the unsolved mystery!

This story will grab you from the start and won't let go. The author writes with such detail that you feel like you’re inside the book’s pages. This is one of the better FBI/police procedural novels I've read!

I received a copy of this book from the author, and the above is my voluntary and honest review. I'm also looking forward to more potential adventures about Alex.

4.5⭐

This was a slow burn psychological thriller that took you for a ride you didn't expect. How Ms. Wade blended the past with the present and never once did it feel forced or flat. At around the 62% mark this already well paced book picked up her feet and started to run. At 91% she not only had you cheering but she got even faster. Now in the past I've read books that did this and the endings always fall flat, not this book though. This book does not disappoint and had a smooth ride to the finish. So much fun. There were twists I predicted and if I'm being honest one I thought was not just a twist but a big deal. And I was wrong in my assumptions-you know what they say about one who assumes. This book sure showed me
I was blessed to receive this as an ARC and feel honored to leave my thoughts.

Y’ALL—this one snaps. 🔥 The Profiler’s Daughter is smart, tense, and ridiculously well-written. Set in Quantico, 1990, FBI trainee Alex Monroe stumbles on a cold case tied to her legendary profiler father: three missing women from a psychiatric hospital. No bodies. No answers. Immediate chills.

The inmate interviews crackle with danger, the DNA revelations hit hard, and Alex is such a compelling lead—sharp, conflicted, and emotionally loaded. Sabrina Wade’s descriptive ability is phenomenal; every scene feels close, claustrophobic, and alive. You can smell the dust in the archives and feel the pressure closing in.

Snappy, unsettling, and impossible to put down. Read it now. 🖤📖.

The Profiler's Daughter is a Superb story about Alexandra Monroe who is training to be an FBI Agent.
Her late Father had been an FBI Profiler. Alexandra as part of training finds a cold case of her Father's. While this case was happening unfortunately she was young when kidnapped . Alexandra looks into the case with her three close FBI trainee friends. There are many twists and turns and surprising events throughout the story. This book is a gripping page turner which I found very hard to stop reading.
Excellent story that I highly recommend that you read.

Alex Monroe enrols into the FBI training facility programme in Quantico to become a profiler like her dad.

Along with Meera, Kate, Shelby they endure the vigorous training and when Alex accompanies Agent Weston to a prison to observe Tobias Crowe who is due to be executed, Alex feels drawn to him and begins investigating his case with her friends.

The case gets more intriguing after discovering a secret FBI programme called Helix which re programmes people but some were killed.

This is a real roller coaster and tense storyline with a surprising ending.

Highly recommend.

I love serial killer stories and profilers, so I jumped on this one. Alex Monroe is in the FBI, training to be a profiler like her dad was ‘back in the day’. Alex discovers a case of her dad’s that was unsolved. There were missing girls from a psychiatric institute. Now, years later, the case resurfaces. There is a man Tobias Crowe, who is in current legal trouble for murder, who was also mentioned in the old notes from her father’s unsolved case at the psychiatric institute. Sabrina Wade had me hooked. How do the cases relate to each other? What role did her father have? It was all twisty and new details were slowly brought out. It was really good and had me in suspense the entire time.

I received an ARC of this book from the author. This book literally had me engrossed from the very first chapter and kept me there as the story unfolds.
Alexandra Monroe is a trainee to be an agent for the FBI. Her father was an FBI profiler and she wants to follow in his footsteps. She is also interested in a case her father was working on and is still unsolved. As I got further into the story, the tension grew steadily as things progressed.
The book was so well written and the characters were believable and I could see each one in my mind. It was so easy to lose myself in this book, I had a hard time putting it down.

This book starts off with an interview with an insane inmate, Tobias Crowe, and then goes into the story of Alex Monroe and her time in FBI training with three other ladies. I really enjoyed Lieutenant Collin Lockwood, he was a hero. I loved how he courted Alex. Especially when he taught Chet a lesson! This was a really good read and was interesting to see how these ladies helped solved a cold case. Glad the author ended with a good ending. A book well worth reading.

This is an excellent read Alex is an FBI trainie agent and the daughter of a former agent with a secret.

This is all good elements for a novel and this is used to full effect, I loved the whole storyline the other students trainers the whole cast is used for an amazing impact as each page takes you deeper into a mystery and adventure that will keep you hooked right the way through the whole story. there are a few storylines that run, but they each join up for a complete and absorbing story that as ive hinted at (ok stated already) is wonderful

The characters are really well worked with back stories told when needed not just to fill the pages and I'm hoping this will develop into a series but there's no clue yet if that is the case, but whatever happens i will definitely be reading more books from Sabrina (the author). really glad I got to read this and definitely 5 stars but only as not allowed to give above that.

This book was good but there is just to much information in it I feel should be less everything going on in her life and more of her becoming a Profiler and Tobias. We all know how hard it is to get into Quiantico so i think telling us everydays schedule and routine is too much her friends and their lifes the new guy on campous and his life just to much information.

Excellent book!

I purchased this book and read it the same day as I could not put it down.  A chilling, yet rewarding story as Alex follows in her father's footsteps with an FBI career. Alex faces hurdles that would stop many in their tracks and she overcomes so many obstacles. This is the first book I read by Sabrina Wade, but definitely won't be the last.  I'm hooked and highly recommend this book to others!

Sabrina Wade has done it again! I love this book! My first thought was the Silence of the Lambs vibe. I found it a slow burning thriller with that undercurrent of tension throughout. We got to know the characters and I loved them. The story is well written and when the tension and the suspense started to pick up I found it very hard to put it down. Add a small touch of romance and I can’t recommend this one enough! I’m really hoping there might be a book 2 about Alex and the FBI!

The Profiler's Daughter was my first introduction to Sabrina Wade and her books. It was so well written. I couldn't put it down. I even got my husband sucked into the storyline and we took turns reading it to each other. I can't wait to read more books by this author. I hope there is a sequel to follow up on the case that Special Agent Alexandra Monroe has begun to solve. I want to see where her connection to the killer goes from here.

Riveting!!!

Oh my goodness! Do not expect to just read a chapter or two then lay this story aside! This may have just become my most favorite story. Reading Patient 7 as soon as I finish this review. This story has pain, sorrow, love, friendship, compromise, intent, corruption, devotion, mystery, suspense. You can picture each incident as it happens. Beautifully written. A must read.

wow . this book drags you in

I really enjoyed this book . It kept me interested the whole time and had enough twists to keep things fun without feeling over the top. I liked the main character and the drama mixed with the mystery. The start was a little slow for me, but once it picked up, I flew through the rest of it. Definitely worth reading if you like suspenseful books with a darker vibe.

I enjoyed this book. It was calm one minute then exploded into jaw dropping suspense!! Who would have thought that a cadet at the FBI academy at Quantico would be the one that would have me scratching my head in wonder and awe!! Great read if you’re a fan of crime/mystery

Set in the 90s, this is a thrilling FBI cold case story. Alexandra is currently training to be an FBI agent in the shadow of her father’s legacy and the cold case she lands is very familiar to her.

This was a great read and my first cold case story for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Outstanding

I loved this book. It starts with so much information about the life of an FBI Cadet’s journey through training. The characters are wonderful. The friendships and family ties are all addressed. The case is intriguing and unfortunately realistic. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Scary Book!

I was nervous about reading this book! And I am still shaken by the end which I didn't really understand. It wanted to go on to another book when I didn't feel this one was done! I was unclear as to whether the convicted man was going to co

me after her or not!

II found the blurb intriguing, which is why I chose to read the book. However, I wasn’t as impressed with the story itself. In my opinion, the backstory was overdone, and the rest of the plot felt pretty far-fetched regarding what she could accomplish as a "trainee." I voluntarily left this review.

a good one

I normally do not give a book 5 stars, but this one kept me guessing. At times, it felt as if it were written more for a younger audience, but I did enjoy it. I appreciated that the author kept me guessing who to believe. Well done and thank you to Sabrina Wade.

such a fun read! i do think patient 7 was better (more action/thrilling). i love the hint of romance in these thrillers, it’s like my two favorite worlds together. i do think this one had some unnecessary details/writing at times, but still good nonetheless!

Sooo good! One of my new favorite authors. I love how she combines a thriller with an emotionally feel good story and does a great job of character development. This is the second I’ve read from her this week and will definitely be reading the rest of her books.
