This was my first book by this author, and honestly, what a wonderful introduction to their writing. From the moment I started reading, I was pulled in by the witchy atmosphere—it had that perfect blend of magic, mystery, and subtle romance that makes paranormal stories so addictive. The entire book gave off such cozy, enchanting witchy vibes that it felt like slipping into a world full of candlelight, spell books, and a touch of danger.

The slow burn romance was really well done. It didn’t rush the connection or try to force chemistry. Instead, it allowed the characters to circle each other, build tension, and slowly let their feelings unravel in a way that felt completely natural. Every glance, every moment of shared magic, every little spark added to the anticipation. And the twists sprinkled throughout the story kept things engaging and added a fun layer of unpredictability without overpowering the romance.

As someone new to this author and this series, I loved how the world was introduced. The side characters were intriguing enough that I genuinely want to get to know each of them. Their personalities, powers, and hints of backstory made the world feel lived-in and full of potential.

I will absolutely be reading the rest of the series—I want to dive deeper into this magical world and learn more about every character we’ve met so far. This book was a great start, and I’m excited to see where the author takes the story next!

Yvonne Hamilton did it again with Hexes and Heartbreakers! It was amazing getting to dive back into the Bellamy story with Francesca and Sayer while seeing where this new story took us! It was refreshing to get a bold main female character staying loud and proud through the story, finding her self and the love she always deserved instead of what everyone said she should have.
I absolutely loved getting to see more how the Bellamy magic works, and other creatures from their world as well. Getting to see Sayer open up to Francesca and build that relationship was just the perfect cup of sweetness I needed this weekend, and you throw in the forced proximity from Leona and Jackson as well, this book is just * chefs kiss".

**ARC READ**

Francesca is 35 and her cupid never showed when she was 20 to help her find her perfect match. Now her magic is out of control and becoming more volatile by the minute. When she receives notice that her cupid is finally on the way due to a mishap with her file, she learns her cupid is the last person she ever expected and that her magic knows her better than she even knows herself.

Another work of genius by Hamilton! Light, cute, hilarious, this book was the ultimate slow burn. Seriously I was DYING for Francesca and Sayer to please just kiss already! This plot was so unique too - I will forever be impressed with Hamilton and Wills' abilities to create original stories with unforgettable characters and villians that make you indescribably angry. I also love that our FMC is 35, shes my age and so incredibly independent and successful and it was so refreshing to see that in a magical romance.

I adored this story!
Francesca’s magic going out of control in her bakery made this book really fun to read. The bakery scenes were some of my favorite parts. I liked how everything kept going wrong for her, especially with the dough and the explosions, and Sayer just walking into it.
I loved how their relationship slowly built while they were trying to figure everything out. Her magic only calming down when they were near each other was one of my favorite details.
Would definitely read this one again!

🌶️ slow burn

I loved that this wasn’t an insta live story, but one built on time and knowing. I love that it was fated, but choice first. I love that it wasn’t easy, and they had to know it was worth it. I love that this wasn’t about choice.

Sayer is not who you’d expect to be Cupid, and I love that he stands up for those whose choice ended up being wrong for them.

Francesca is sure of herself and will not settle for less than what’s best for her. She knows her worth.

This book made me feel, and I love that for me.

This little nugget is a perfect addition to the Bellamy witches series, If you took the chance and read Hex the Halls you will love Heartbreakers. The magic is spicy and out of control our MMC is broody and snarky and our FMC is a of course a Bellamy with just trying to survive her curse. But when they collide oooo chef's Kiss

This book was absolutely amazing. It had me locked in from the time I opened the book to the very last line. The world that Yvonne has created in this book was so immersive and well done that it felt like I was there in the book the entire time I was reading. Magic, mystery, and mayhem are abundant in this story. And of course there’s romance too. It’s an extremely well balanced book where not one part feels like it overpowers another. The connection and chemistry developed very naturally and didn’t feel like a forced bond, which is often an issue in this genre. It made the story easy to read and even easier to relate to. Tension and twists were everywhere and seeing how the characters relationship changed over the story made things more interesting to read. Even the side characters got the attention they deserved and I wanted to know more about them as a result. Every aspect is woven together beautifully so that book reads like an experience and not just another romance story. Francesca and Sayer are a perfect match in my opinion. Their feelings towards each other come off as genuine and true. It’s wonderful to see them choosing this and it not feeling forced since the universe decided it should happen. The way the book wraps up was perfect. It was just right for this story and for these characters. It’s absolutely beautiful and utterly them. Honestly the only part about this book that broke my heart was the fact that it ended. Can we have another?!

I had the pleasure of receiving this as an e-ARC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. If you loved Hex the Halls you will love heartbreakers!! This is a cozy witchy vibe read with magic and spice. The FMC is just trying to survive the curse. Just love her!! Absolutely love this story.

4.75 ⭐️ rounded up to 5.

I absolutely loved, loved, loved this book! The storyline is so unique and cute. I ate it up so fast! This book is about a witch who has a family curse that requires her to get married in order to stabilize her magic. Her Cupid is supposed to show up when she’s 20 but doesn’t show up until she’s 35. No Bellamy witch has ever gone past 35 without bonding, so nobody knows the ramifications of her magic. Her Cupid quit 15 years ago before ever opening her file and is called back to service in order to complete her match as quickly as possible.

This was such a cozy read for me. Francesca is such a strong willed individual and I love how she handles every situation no matter how stressful. I loved that her person let her make a choice before telling her they were supposed to be bonded. He wanted her to have the choice instead of doing it just because the universe decided they were a match. They both tried to ignore their feelings for each other but giving her that choice showed he really loved her. The banter between the two main characters and many of the other characters was so witty!

This book is for people who enjoy:
🖤cozy fantasy
🖤forced proximity
🖤HEA
🖤Magic

Thank you Yvonne Hamilton and Golden Light Publishing for providing me with this ARC! I can’t wait to read more from this world!

I LOOOOVE this Seasonal Rom-Com! Just what I needed to read!

This was sweet, fast paced and full of unruly absolutely, down right feral magic!!!
A family curse, that always acts up every winter season.
Sisters who are the embodiment of relentless love!
And denial that will bring so much pressure everything may burst at the seams..starting with the bakery!!

Fran was precious! I enjoyed her character & the way she gained her confidence!
Sayer was delicious for sure! Broody, winged, salty, witty, literally cracked me up the whole book!

BUT Jackson & Leona OHHHH MYYY WORRRD. they were flippin phenomenal! Their loyalty, devotion, transparency, honesty and charm was just everything! I could not get enough of them!

I love good banter as most of us do and in THIS book it's a 10!!

This is my 2nd Seasonal Rom-Com in the Hexes Saga & it was great!

I highly suggest this one if you love witchy chaos, a HEA and kicking & giggling banter, laugh out loud comebacks and pastries that may or may not be sentient?

✨ Contemporary Fantasy
✨ Witchy Rom-Com
✨ A sprinkle of Dark Romance
✨ Urban Fantasy undertones
✨ Fated-adjacent-maybe-don’t-touch-me energy
✨ Magical hijinks with increasing levels of “Fran, sweetie, please stop”

A cursed baker + a jaded ex-cupid

I am a stan for the Bellamy witches and if you haven’t checked out this series you need to!
I was so excited to start this book and it did not disappoint! Yvonne has a way with her world building and descriptions on what is going on in the story, I feel like I am watching a movie as I read. Even though there is a Valentine’s day vibe, it can be read at any time. I am counting down the days until I can get my hands on to book 3 of the Bellamy witches!

Francesca Bellamy’s 35th birthday should be a celebration, but instead, it marks the beginning of magical chaos. Without true love, her powers spiral dangerously out of control, forcing her to face fears she’s spent years avoiding. Enter Sayer Valentine — a fallen cupid burdened with his own magic and regrets — tasked with finding her perfect match.

What follows is a whirlwind of sparks, vulnerability, and unexpected connection. As Francesca and Sayer fight their growing attraction, both must confront what love truly means and whether they’re brave enough to claim it. Hexes and Heartbreakers is a heartfelt, magical romance filled with warmth, longing, and irresistible charm…..

This was another great hit from Yvonne!!
This was fast paced and so much fun to read! An all around great paranormal romcom! I’d been in sort of the beginning of a reading slump and this yanked me right out of it! It was exactly what I needed right now.

I absolutely loved both the MMC and the FMC! You have the broody Cupid and the chaotic and lovely Bellamy witch that just make this story a great time to read! The banter and the slow burn that turns into some real spice was chefs kiss!

I highly suggest especially since Valentine’s Day is coming up this would be a PEREFECT February read! I can’t wait to see what is next in this series! I’m literally obsessed with this series!

Yvonne has quickly solidified her place as one of my favorite authors. Ledger of the Damned book was perfection. While not in the same genre as that book, this one is so sweet and beautifully written. I adore both Francesca and Sayer. This book is written for those broken by false love. A controlling love a painful love. This book is a testament to the survivors, to give hope, to show love is not evil. Franscesca and Sayer both show healing and beauty after pain. I love the ending and chaos that is the Bellamy witches! Can't wait until the next book in this series.

This was a super slow burn but totally worth it because the banter and tension between the characters. The banner was genuinely funny between all the characters. The relationship was built up naturally and based on choice instead of fate. The side characters in this book are also really great and super funny. I’m already looking forward to the next one.

The Season of Love is a curse for every Bellamy witch. Francesca Bellamy's magic is now going berserk. Sayer Valentine is ex-cupid turned grumpy divorce lawyer who wants nothing to do with it. They cross paths which only makes things more chaotic.

A quirky and charming read from Yvonne Hamilton had the pages turning for me!

I had the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Hexes and Heartbreakers by Yvonne Hamilton. This is an interconnected standalone along with B. Wills book Hex the Halls. I gave this book 3.5 stars. This was a cozy valentines romantasy. While this book was a little too slow for me, if you enjoy a cupid mmc, and a bakery witch fmc, competition for love, and magic curses, I would recommend giving this book a read.

ARC READ.

I really enjoyed this read. This is that cute little rom con with magic and all that good stuff. But with any good magic based book there's those magic complications and gosh do I love so messy magic. Sweet, funny with edgy banter.

I loved this book I normally not a fan of slow burns because most writers don't know how to do it correctly but Yvonne killed it with this one! loved all the secret looks the both had. The witchy magic system was so fun especially because it had a mind of its own, it made it so comical.

The beginning of this story is slow, and it took me awhile to fully engage in the story. Once the plot twist hit, I couldn’t finish this story fast enough. I also through;y enjoyed Leona’s and Jackson’s flair for the dramatic and the way they always seem to be subtly forcing their boss Sayer to do things he doesn’t want to.

"Hexes and Heartbreakers: A Hexed Valentine" by Yvonne Hamilton is a delightful and enchanting read that completely captivated me from the very beginning. This book was my first introduction to the author, and let me tell you, it certainly won't be my last! The story is a creative blend of romance and fantasy, and the plot is incredibly inventive.

The premise alone is enough to grab your attention: a curse, a Cupid turned divorce attorney, and a witch whose magic is "detonating". Francesca Bellamy's predicament, as she's running out of time to find her match, is immediately engaging. The ex-cupid, Sayer Valentine, adds a layer of cynicism and humor. The way Hamilton weaves their stories together, along with the magical elements, creates a dynamic and compelling narrative.

The writing style is superb; the pacing is perfect, keeping me turning the pages late into the night. Hamilton's world-building is seamless, and the characters are well-developed, each with distinct personalities and motivations. I found myself really caring about Francesca and Sayer, rooting for them despite the obstacles they faced. The supporting characters also contribute to the richness of the story, adding depth and color to the world.

What I appreciated most was the balance between the lighthearted moments and the more serious themes of love, belief, and destiny. The curse and the magic add a layer of excitement, while the budding romance keeps your heart engaged. The ending was satisfying, wrapping up the plot threads in a way that felt both earned and emotionally resonant.

Overall, "Hexes and Heartbreakers: A Hexed Valentine" is a must-read for fans of contemporary fantasy and romance. It's a charming, well-written novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. I wholeheartedly give it a 5-star rating and highly recommend it. I am eagerly looking forward to reading more from Yvonne Hamilton!

I LOVEEEED and ate up this book! I’m normally a dark romance girly through and through but this was light hearted and the banter was bantering and I was here for it

The denial between Sayer and Francesca while they navigated the curse and their true feelings although adorable was so frustrating at times LOL like open your eyes don’t you see you’re meant for each other!?!

Yvonne has a way of writing that keeps you engaged and interested the whole time and literally laughing out loud. I highly recommend this book to anyone!

Hexes and Heartbreakers has the best-crafted trigger warning I have ever read. The beauty of this particular warning is that it draws attention to the more serious undertones threaded through this paranormal rom-com, which could easily have been masked by the fault-finding frosting and sentient pastries.

This is one of those romances where you know from the beginning that two people are meant to be together, and the real question is how they will find their way there. Sayer, a Cupid turned divorce lawyer, has a valid foundation for his cynicism and his reluctance to open his heart. Francesca is guided by magic that has turned feral, with chaotic consequences.

The Bellamys have become my favourite witchy family, and the cinnamon-and-caffeine bakery vibe was irresistible. The secondary characters added even more to the entertainment.

I loved this banter-filled, laugh-out-loud, slow-burn paranormal romance and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Thank you to Yvonne Hamilton and Golden Light Publishing House for the digital ARC.
