This book of poems is a powerful expression of the human experience. Love, longing, obsession, intensity, and affection are all beautifully woven together in this extraordinary book of poems. Some of these resonated deeply with me. The author's ability to infuse a cosmic atmosphere into some of her poems is a true gift, and it is masterfully done. I was deeply inspired by this book. It is a short read, but it is packed with a wealth of emotions that will leave you feeling all sorts of emotions.

I just finished my second read-through of A Singularity, and honestly? It hit even deeper this time. This isn’t just a poetry collection—it’s an epic, emotional story of a banished god and a mortal woman trapped in a cycle of karma, reincarnation, and a love that refuses to let go.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (A masterpiece of poetic collapse)
🌑 The Emotional Journey:
Reading this was an experience of "highs and lows." I found myself pausing more than once just to sit with the depth of the meaning. It’s rare to find words that make your own past flash before your eyes, but Nina Deveaux has a way of capturing the "hypnotic and madly toxic" chemistry of a love that spans lifetimes.
✨ The Moments That Broke Me (And Healed Me):
What really stayed with me—and what I’ll keep coming back to—is how this book handles the fragility of connection.
One poem in particular hit me deep, asking the questions we all fear:
"Why do you keep coming back? – When you don’t understand me. And why do I let you? – When you’ve shot me."
It captures that cycle of happiness and theft so perfectly. Yet, amidst the darkness, I found so much comfort in the poems about loss. The idea that when someone passes on, they take a piece of you, but you also keep a piece of them... it’s a beautiful, haunting way to look at grief.

This was such a good book of poems. I'll definitely be reading it again and again. It speaks of pain, love, loss and all manner of human emotion.

Beautiful
Beautiful, a journey through love and space. I read it in one sitting and highly recommend! I don’t tend to read much poetry, but gave this a chance and am so glad I did! Looking forward to more works from this author. Brava!

A Moody, Atmospheric Poetry Collection
I loved the premise and the themes of longing and devotion, but the style just wasn’t for me. The imagery is strong, but I didn’t feel as pulled in as I hoped. Poetry is personal, though, others may connect more deeply.
