A Singularity is a dark romance poetry collection about longing, devotion, and love that refuses to loosen its grip.
Two lovers are drawn to one another again and again, bound by a karmic pull neither can resist. Their connection is tender and devastating—each reunion charged with vulnerability, each separation echoing with desire. What they share is not fleeting romance, but a love that deepens through repetition, ache, and surrender.
They fall. They return. They unravel in each other’s arms.
Will this finally be the end? Will their laments, joys, regrets, and whispered promises collapse into a single point of annihilation—or soften into something luminous and new?
Blending intimacy, obsession, and emotional intensity, A Singularity explores love as a force that consumes and transforms. It is a meditation on closeness, ruin, and the ache of wanting someone so completely that there is no return to who you were before.
Some loves do not fade. They pull you inward—until nothing else exists.
This book of poems is a powerful expression of the human experience. Love, longing, obsession, intensity, and affection are all beautifully woven together in this extraordinary book of poems. Some of these resonated deeply with me. The author's ability to infuse a cosmic atmosphere into some of her poems is a true gift, and it is masterfully done. I was deeply inspired by this book. It is a short read, but it is packed with a wealth of emotions that will leave you feeling all sorts of emotions.

"Some loves do not fade. They pull you inward until nothing else exists."
I just finished my second read-through of A Singularity, and honestly? It hit even deeper this time. This isn’t just a poetry collection—it’s an epic, emotional story of a banished god and a mortal woman trapped in a cycle of karma, reincarnation, and a love that refuses to let go. My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (A masterpiece of poetic collapse)
🌑 The Emotional Journey: Reading this was an experience of "highs and lows." I found myself pausing more than once just to sit with the depth of the meaning. It’s rare to find words that make your own past flash before your eyes, but Nina Deveaux has a way of capturing the "hypnotic and madly toxic" chemistry of a love that spans lifetimes.
✨ The Moments That Broke Me (And Healed Me): What really stayed with me—and what I’ll keep coming back to—is how this book handles the fragility of connection. One poem in particular hit me deep, asking the questions we all fear: "Why do you keep coming back? – When you don’t understand me. And why do I let you? – When you’ve shot me." It captures that cycle of happiness and theft so perfectly. Yet, amidst the darkness, I found so much comfort in the poems about loss. The idea that when someone passes on, they take a piece of you, but you also keep a piece of them... it’s a beautiful, haunting way to look at grief.
🥀 A Bittersweet Evolution: Ultimately, this is a story about growth. It’s about accepting your past and realizing that two broken things can create something sweet, even if the process hurts. It ends on such a powerful, bittersweet note that lingers long after you close the book.
The Vibe & Atmosphere Aesthetic: Dark Romance meets Sci-Fi Mythology. The Writing: Open, fragile, and masterfully atmospheric. Trigger Warnings: Violence, Sex, and Profanity.
💭 Final Thoughts After finishing it a second time, I know this is a book I will reach for again and again. It’s for the ones who have been burned by love, haunted by destiny, and reached their own "Singularity."

I’m a big poetry reader because sometimes the goal isn’t to escape — it’s to feel seen. To read something that mirrors your own emotions and experiences in a way that’s both raw and comforting.
A Singularity is a karmic love story told across 89 pages of intense longing, devotion, and an almost inexplicable pull. Every page bleeds vulnerability and intimacy, felt through each line and every intentional break. This collection blends lyrical free verse with mythological imagery, creating something deeply personal yet hauntingly expansive.
I truly loved the journey through such openness and fragility — a dark, emotional exploration of connection that lingers long after you’ve finished.
With themes of love, loss, obsession, devotion, and acceptance, this is a perfect collection for anyone navigating a healing era and looking for something that feels deeply relatable.
Beautiful, a journey through love and space. I read it in one sitting and highly recommend! I don’t tend to read much poetry, but gave this a chance and am so glad I did! Looking forward to more works from this author. Brava!
I loved the premise and the themes of longing and devotion, but the style just wasn’t for me. The imagery is strong, but I didn’t feel as pulled in as I hoped. Poetry is personal, though, others may connect more deeply.
