The Magic Cave by Aarti Gosine is a fantasy children's storybook describing the adventures of twins Alan and Samantha when they move from Glenville Place city to the Vance Falls suburbs for their father's job. Even though they have a hard time adjusting to the new school, they find a friend Mark. Mark knows of a mysterious cave. He enlists the twins to help find and explore it. They succeed in locating the shelter. They realize it freezes time and never opens the same fantasy place twice. The sites ranged from a candy store, the circus, a prehistoric plane and the princesses castle. The Magic Cave by Aarti Gosine is a delightful and entertaining book for kids. The writing is alluring and resonates with adults, too. I enjoyed the story because it comprises many desirable and emotional topics that children can relate to, such as moving houses, making new pals, changing schools, bullying, and adventures. I like how the author created rational characters accompanied by elegant prose, as though taking the reader on a roller coaster ride that is perfect for a young reader's imagination. Every dilemma had a practical remedy, citing the case where they fall into a prehistoric scene and evade the dinosaurs. There are some tense moments within the cave that I think need more action-packed events to make the novel a more exhilarating read. I felt impressed by the mystery, fantasy, imaginary friends and childhood friendship. Delightful drawings accompany the written word. The story is easy to read, and its vocabulary is simple to comprehend.
I am rating it 5 out of 5 stars. The book is dazzlingly composed for a young audience. The story takes hold of the readers' attention and entertains them. I highly recommend this book to readers of all ages.

The Magic Cave by Aarti Gosine is an imaginative adventure book for children which takes them on a journey beyond their wildest dreams.
The adventure begins when our star twins, Alan and Samantha are forced to move from the city to the countryside because of their father’s job. It is great that the kids adjusted quickly to their new neighborhood, which usually isn’t easy. Soon enough, they get used to their new home, delighted by the countryside and a promise to explore the lush hills nearby.

They make a friend at school, Mark, who is in general a good friend, but unwilling to accept Samantha in their friend circle initially. Yet, the three of them explore the hills and find the cave that Mark told them about. But, getting inside isn’t easy. The trio use their wits, and science to move the rock from the mouth of the cave.

What they discover is utterly magical. When the author described the candy land, I was immediately transported to the world of Charlie and the chocolate factory. The sweets, candies and more! But the magic of the cave doesn’t end there. The cave transports our trio to different magical places every time they enter it. Imagine, a world of fun and something new every time you go into the cave. Sure, is magical!

Author Aarti Gosine does a great job at conveying a message to children to practice safety. When the trio entered the Jurassic times, they were almost injured, and worse could have been eaten!

A short yet amazing read where both children and adults can escape into an adventure and the world of magic. Where will the Magic Cave lead to this time? only you know!

I give this book 4/5 stars.

A lovely, colourful and entertaining tale
I´ve chosen this novel to read together with my nieces. The moment I started reading, I couldn't put it down, and my nieces wanted to listen to the whole tale. The Magic Cave is a captivating story penned by Aarti Gosine.
The Magic Cave revolves around Alan and Samantha who have just moved to a new house in a new town with their parents. As usual, at the very beginning they don´t feel like moving to a new place but they soon make friends and everything changes. The moment they find out about the magic cave, they find themselves on a wonderful adventure like nothing they have ever imagined.
This is a well-written story full of twists and turns that young readers will more than appreciate. What I liked most are the dialogues between these children. Their exchanges are vivid and very realistic. Gosine’s writing style truly makes you feel as if you are inside the story. In fact, I felt immersed in their adventures, and it made me reminisce about my childhood with my siblings and friends. The Magic Cave, by Aarti Gosine, totally lived up to and exceeded my expectations. I look forward to reading more of Gosine’s works. I highly recommend this captivating and entertaining tale!
