Clan alliances shift as they play The Great Game but unnoticed a new order rises to challenge the status quo. On the empire’s borders enemies gather, biding their time. Throughout all, Li Chin pulls at the threads of destiny for the Hansee, weaving a new future if they can survive the transition and threats gathering.

Excellent... Characters are well crafted... Settings believable and a mix of medieval Chinese and Japanese... Loved the intrigue... Looking forward to the sequel if planned... Belongs on the shelf with the likes of Joe Abercrombie, Batchelder Allan, Anthony Ryan
