The Fall of Numenor - J.R.R. Tolkien

Rate this book
J.R.R. Tolkien's works on Middle-earth's Second Age, united in one volume for the first time. Before Christopher Tolkien's 'The Silmarillion', the story was incomplete. While most of the book focused on the First Age, two crucial works detailed the rise and fall of Nmenor. This island kingdom, a reward for Men's aid against Morgoth, became powerful and prosperous. However, its downfall was inevitable as its might grew, leading to the Last Alliance of Elves and Men.
