Caught Offsides

Niko Karas is a walking distraction.

Greek god looks. Rising soccer star status. A body built for sin and stadium lights.

Unfortunately for me, he’s also the face of the sport-luxe campaign I’m overseeing.

I know athletes. As the younger sister of a soccer legend, I understand the pressure, the obsession, the sacrifice. Soccer always comes first.

Honestly, that works for me.

I’m not looking for forever. I haven’t been on a date in four months, and I haven’t let anything get serious in six years—not after the last man who promised to stay walked away when I needed him most.

So one night with Niko should be the perfect kind of reckless. Fun, easy, and temporary. He’s a notorious player who’s never committed to anything but the game, and I’m a woman with a career to protect and a heart I don’t let anyone touch.

He’s moving to Germany. I’m building my life in New York.

And no strings means no consequences.

Until I find out I’m pregnant.

Now my career is hanging by a thread, my life is changing faster than I can keep up with, and the one man I never planned to need is thousands of miles away.

Niko Karas was supposed to be one unforgettable night.

Now he might be the future I never saw coming.

I was sent the ARC of this book and I am so so grateful that im one of the first people to read this book and review it!

I thought this was a very fun and easy read, I was able to read it very quick. I really liked the addition of the added social media posts, they were fun!

I am a sucker for a pregnancy trope, and this one was done well in my opinion! I think the relationship between Bianca and Niko was really sweet and I loved watching it blossom. He was down bad for her and I love that!

I do think this book could’ve been longer though, just to dig a bit deeper into their relationship and also see more of them with their baby. But overall, really fun read!

Gina does it again ! The third installment of this fun series does not disappoint!

Bianca and Niko are goal oriented and career driven characters who stop at nothing to obtain their goals, but when there’s a surprise pregnancy thrown into the mix, all bets are off!

Grab a refreshing drink and settle into your reading chair and enjoy this special story, where you get to know Bianca and Niko and then see what’s up with your favorite characters from the last two books as they weave into this story.

I have been loving this series and this was the perfect book to read with the World Cup on in the background. “Caught Offsides” is a heartfelt, sweet and romantic accidental pregnancy, soccer romance that was such a sweet story.

Niko Karas is a Greek-American and an up and coming soccer star. While in NYC doing an ad campaign for a sponsor he meets junior brand manager Bianca DiBlanco. The two hit it off and end up spending forty-eight hours together and it was supposed to be just for the weekend. They even exchanged contact information which is good because weeks later, Bianca discovers that she is pregnant. Neither were expecting it but both are excited about the future with their child. They might have started out as strangers but as they spend time together through Bianca’s pregnancy, it’s clear that they could have a future together.

From the first couple chapters, I knew I was going to love Bianca and Niko. Both are such well developed characters even if they are starting and developing their careers when they first meet. Bianca is a powerhouse, loves her job and being in NYC living out her dreams. She’s no nonsense and I loved that about her. Niko has all the swoony characteristics and he delivered with what a great guy he was. He was, of course, shocked by Bianca’s pregnancy but after about thirty seconds, he’s all in and promises to do whatever he needs to do to make sure she’s comfortable and taken care of. Bianca went home to Spain to be closer to her brother which is what she needed. And with Niko in Germany, he was a lot closer and took every chance he had to go and visit her. Despite their first night, the two had a slow burn back to being in any sort of relationship which is what they needed. But once they figured out they could be a forever couple, I just loved them as a couple. The ending was so sweet and left a happy smile on my face.

This was such a fun, cute read and the perfect palate cleanser after my dark romance binge.

While I really liked both Bianca and Niko, the family dynamics might have been my favourite part of the whole book. Between Niko's incredible family, Bianca's relationship with her brother, and the found family vibes throughout, there was so much warmth and support woven into the story.

I was a little iffy on what happened during their initial weekend together. I understand why it happened from a plot perspective, but waiting two days to handle that just felt so strange to me, I felt realistically they would of handled that situation more quickly than that and it pulled me out of the story a little there.

The romance itself was lovely, but I did wish it had a bit more room to breathe. You could definitely see the attraction and feelings growing between Bianca and Niko, but it felt like they jumped from "we're co-parents" to "I love you" a little too quickly. I would have loved a bit more relationship development before they reached that point.

Niko, however, was an absolute green flag from start to finish. He handled everything with so much maturity, supported Bianca every step of the way, and never once made me want to throw the book across the room. Him and his family were genuinely a highlight.

I also really felt for Bianca. Her trust issues made complete sense given everything she'd been through, and the upheaval in her life was understandably overwhelming. Even so, I found myself getting a little frustrated waiting for her to finally let Niko in, especially because he spent the entire book proving he was someone she could rely on.

Overall, this was a sweet, entertaining romance with lovable characters and fantastic family dynamics. It wasn't perfect, but it was an enjoyable read and exactly the kind of feel-good romance I was in the mood for.

Thank you Gina for the opportunity to ARC read this ❤️

Perfect book to compliment the World Cup coverage! You can watch the matches and then imagine what life is like for the players and their families by diving in to Bianca and Niko's love story. Four and a half stars!

This is a sweet surprise baby story with a small reverse age gap featuring a couple that may be 0ne of my favorites in the League Valencia series so far! Bianca is an independent woman who has had a lot of grief in her life and has had to learn to compartmentalize and stand on her own now that her brother is married and living in Spain. She's living in NYC and living out her dream of becoming a clothing brand manager when she meets rising international footbal star, Niko Karas at a photo shoot. Although he's only in NYC for a brief stop on his move from Chicago to Germany, Niko is captivated by this powerhouse brunette in charge of his photo shoot. After a memorable weekend with her, he can't seem to get her out of his head. Throw in an accidental pregnancy, honest and heartfelt reactions from both characters, and a long distance relationship that becomes something more and you've got me hooked.

Niko is one of my favorites. He's warm, caring, and open. He comes from a big Greek-American family who are his best friends. He is all in when he hears about the baby and will do whatever it takes to be there for Bianca. Bianca has her own obstacles to overcome and I felt that Ms Azzi handled her situation with care. This couple is relationship goals and I can't wait to see what's in store for a few other characters!

Caught Offsides is book 3 in the League Valencia series of interrelated standalones. It has a HEA and no cliffhangers! Enjoy :)

❗️may contain spoilers

When I started seeing edits of this book on tiktok, I knew I needed to read this book straight away. Thankfully, I received the arc for it.

This book was a bit slow at first for me, but when I got past like 10% in, it was the best thing ever. I finished it in TWO days.

I really love accidental pregnancy because it shows a whole different side to a man and really tells you who they are. I they're gonna be deadbeat dad or someone whose going to be their for you and your baby.

Niko was amazing. He was their for her and baby, and he wished to be their for everything. Thus, man would move mountains for her so she doesn't feel stressed. He never once took his anger or emotions out on her. He never blamed her and remained calm for her.

Bianca had her whole life uprooted, but she was still strong. She wasn't ashamed that she cried.

I hope to have a family like there's. They were all supportive and helped in any way they could. Even Andres (still 50/50 feelings about him). The relationship that bianca and his dad were building was so cute. You dont really see her talking about her father she had her brother, but that's brother, not father. So, for her having him was great.

Also, when is Dimi getting a book, he is my favourite character. The popcorn 😭. I need more of him

100% recommend to everyone. Thank you, Gina💚

Bianca DiBlanco is the Junior brand manager at URBN Move and Niko Karas is a rising soccer player who is there to represent that brand and do a photo shoot.
"I'd like to take you to dinner." "Fine"
They end up spending a weekend together and she shows him "her New York" and then he's moving to Germany to play soccer while she is building her career in New York.

Weeks have gone by and Bianca hasn't felt well and finds out the reason is, she's pregnant. Work has been rough and she ends up quitting her job and moving to Spain to her brother and sister in laws.

Niko is the daddy, will she tell him? How will he react? They were only supposed to be one night not a lifetime.

I really enjoyed this story and love Niko. His family is great. The scene where Niko and Bianco are going to talk to his parents is hilarious. I was laughing so hard I was crying.
"Don't be nervous." "Niko!" Mama answers "And a woman. Oh! Niko, I don't have my lipstick on." Baba "why are you putting on lipstick? He has a woman with him." Because don't we all do that? lol
And of course his brother Dimitri, oh my! "Wait! The popcorn is almost done." And the convo between him and Bianco. This family is close and oh so fun.

“I’m showing up. And I’ll keep showing up. Every day.”

Caught Offsides is a fun, flirty romcom that pairs perfectly with the energy of the World Cup buzzing in the background. Bianca and Niko are both fiercely career driven, fully committed to a no strings weekend fling—until two pink lines on a pregnancy test flip their plans upside down.

I was completely hooked by this story. Once I started, I didn’t stop until I’d devoured the last page because the characters and their emotional journeys were so addictive. Bianca is strong, independent, and used to handling life on her own terms, but an unexpected pregnancy forces her to confront old wounds and vulnerabilities she’d rather keep buried. Trust doesn’t come easily to her, yet Niko is determined to break through her walls and prove he’s someone she can count on. And honestly, Niko is impossible not to love—sweet, genuine, and the kind of man who, once he falls, he falls hard.

Caught Offsides is the perfect summer read: warm, heartfelt, and effortlessly engaging. Curl up in your favorite chair, settle in, and let this charming story tug at your heartstrings and leave you smiling long after you’ve finished.

Niko is honestly fantastic. He’s unafraid of baring his emotions, he’s willing to show Bianca just how serious he is about a future with her, and he’s a smart enough guy to do the necessary work to make his dream a reality. I worried about him in Germany while Bianca was elsewhere, but I should’ve had more faith from jump. And I worried about his best friend, but it’s an excellent and refreshing thing to truly have a FRIEND who only wants the best for you.

I know, I’m clearly Team Niko. But I’m also Team Bianca. Especially when she shares her reasons for being so afraid of trusting that happiness can and will be hers. She finds her way with the support of family and a guy who is willing to step aside when he realizes that he isn’t her future. She finds that Niko and his family are all in for her. And she finds that life can be just what she needs, even if it isn’t NYC.

Now, I wait for the next book. I’m managing not to steal any looks at who it is…so far. That might last about three seconds because I’m looking forward to who I think might be telling their tale of love next, though.

Niko came from a big Greek/American family that I would have loved to meet! What wonderful people to support Niko with his love of soccer and his move from Chicago to Germany to play in the European league. Before he left Chicago he did a photo shoot for clothes with Bianca heading it all up. The two were attracted to each other so they decided to have a fling before he left since they would not see each other again. I loved though that they still kept in touch even though they were so far apart. Something happens where Bianca moves to Spain to live with her brother and sister in law. I felt bad for Niko because Bianca went radio silence on him for a while. Niko was such a nice guy and so caring and giving. He was used to a family atmosphere with his hockey team, but was surprised his German team was not that way. I was glad Bianca finally told Niko what was wrong with her. It will melt your heart how caring Niko was. This is such a heartwarming love story that I strongly encourage you to read.

Another captivating romance with dramatic elements by one of my favourite authors. Released in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Caught Offsides tells the story of Bianca, an up-and-coming junior brand manager, and Niko, a rising soccer star currently playing in Chicago. The two meet on the set of his photoshoot and spend 48 hours in NYC, agreeing that the time they spend together is all they will have. Niko is leaving to join his new team in Stuttgart, Germany, while Bianca's dream job is in NYC. But sometimes fate throws a little hitch into the best laid plans. Bianca discovers that Niko left her with a little surprise after the best weekend of her life, which will make a huge dent in her life plans. She's not ready to be a mother. And she sure as heck never planned on uprooting her life and moving to Spain once her life imploded. Now to tell her baby daddy the news. How will he take it? Grab your copy of Caught Offsides to find out how the Greek God of Goals handles the surprise of his life when his Honeybee drops the greatest goal in his lap.

Caught Offsides is Greek-American soccer star, Niki Karas and marketing junior brand manager Bianca DiBlanco’s heartfelt, sweet, accidental pregnancy romance. It’s book three in the League Valencia Series and it’s a great accompaniment to the World Cup on TV.
Niko and Bianca meet when he is in New York for a campaign advert for one of his sponsors. From the moment they meet sparks fly and they end up spending the weekend together before he heads to Germany to start his European football career. Weeks later Bianca gets the shock of her life with a positive pregnancy test, not knowing what else to do she heads to her brother’s home in Valencia and that’s when things get real interesting…….how will Niko react when he finds out he is going to be a father and how will her football playing brother and his friends react when they find out the baby of the family is going to be a mum.
I fell hard and fast as I cheered this couple on. This is a well written, entertaining, sweet, romantic read that I quickly became invested in.

𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 is the 3rd book in the League Valencia series by Gina Azzi, featuring a fun one-night stand, accidental pregnancy, soccer romance for Bianca and Niko! They never expected one hot weekend in NY to leave them with a life-altering surprise, but with Niko in Germany pursuing his soccer career and Bianca fleeing home to Spain, life definitely takes a complicated turn. How do they merge their lives from different countries? I enjoyed their chemistry, the banter across the board, with all the diverse family bonds and support, and the soccer aspects. Niko definitely was a swoon-worthy MMC waving green flags with his all-in mentality, and Bianca showed admirable strength given her emotional past. I also always love when family is emphasized, whether it’s biological, or the family you choose. I just wish we got to see a bit more of their time as a couple and as parents. I look forward to the next book!

I received an ARC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Bianca and Niko's story was an experience! It left me warm-hearted yet eager for the next book in the series.
The chemistry between Bianca and Niko was instant. And while their beginning was short, it was intimate, intense, and playful.
I liked that they both had goals and were determined to pursue them, but continued their playful banter while they were doing so.

Niko was all green flags—supportive, determined, attentive, sweet, and swoon-worthy.
Bianca was witty, sophisticated, a little guarded, but totally relatable. The emotional rollercoaster she experienced was so realistic that I found myself giggling at the similarities I shared with her during that time of my life.

There was a little bit of drama, some very cute nicknames, a couple of nice surprises, and a man who always showed up.
Oh, I can't forget to mention: the found family vibes in this series are EVERYTHING! I really enjoyed seeing how the other couples were getting along.

Nico and Bianca

This soccer romance follows Nico and Bianca. He is about to move to another country for his career and she just wanted a fun and easy night.
But what comes after that is a journey neither saw coming.
Bianca has her trust issues after a big disappointment in the relationship department and Nico has a promising future ahead of him.
So when those two lines appear Biance is devastated. Her career is on the line and the one who should know and could help is miles and miles away.
Bianca moves to her brother which makes it easier for Nico to be there for her. And that he is after Biance tells him about the pregnancy. He is one to give her the trust in men and especially in him back.
The ending was exactly the happy end they needed and deserved.

I just loved this book. I normally don't love the pregnancy trope, but the author did such an amazing job with it. Bianca and Niko are well developed characters. I felt so bad for Bianca and having to leave everything she was working for behind, but I liked how being with family and having time to relax helped her obtain her goals. Niko was so sweet willing to do anything for Bianca and the little one. He was truly excited to be a dad. I absolutely love both families and the support they gave. This couple had a lot to work though but they realized they love each other. You have to read the book to see how they get there. It was an engaging read, I didn't want to put down. I highly recommend you read it.

I'm so in love with this series so far and Bianca and Niko's story was no different, I loved them so much! These two hit it off immediately and what was just supposed to be one great weekend together turned into so much more.

I'm a sucker for the pregnancy trope and it was done so well in this one, I loved how devoted Niko was for her and not just because she was carrying his baby. It's hard for Bianca to trust again and I loved how he shows his care for her with all of his actions and how he'd always be there for her no matter what.

Everything about them was so sweet! There's definitely some ups and downs, them having to navigate long distance and especially with having so many raw emotions with the pregnancy. But I just loved how they showed when two people are meant to be, they'll always find a way to each other no matter what. Their love was so beautiful!

This is book three in the League Valencia series. All I knew going into this was that it was a surprise pregnancy trope. I really enjoyed Bianca and Niko and the way they developed their relationship. Bianca literally quits her job and moves in with her brother in a different country all for her baby. Then there is Niko, a walking green flag! The way he handled everything and was there and present was amazing. Truly such a feel good, swoony, happily ever after book. This was my first book by Gina Azzi, and I loved it so much I will go back and read book one and two as well!

This was another solid read in the series. I enjoyed Bianca and Niko's story and their initial banter was fabulous. The story flowed well and was easy to read. It wasn't quite as emotional as previous books which is why it didn't hit the 5 stars for me. There were definitely some emotional elements but nothing that hit me as hard as with Marlowe's story.

I also loved being able to catch up with previous couples and I'm now looking forward to Andres' story. Looking forward to autumn already!

I read this book so quickly! I loved it and couldn’t wait to find out what happens between Niko and Bianca! A one night (or weekend) stand turns into a situation where they will see more of each other than expected. Poor Bianca has had so much loss in her life. It’s time for something good to happen. And Niko and his huge Greek family is just the thing she needs in her life right now! Great story! Great characters! I’ve loved this series and want more!

This was an ARC.
A hot shot soccer player set to play on Spain meets an interesting stranger during a photo shoot on NYC. After spending fun weekend together they each go their own way but still think about the other. Oops the weekend together has an unexpected consequence which changes the trajectory of all involved. Can real families and found families help you over come past hurts and insecurities? Can they score a win for what they each want?

A surprise pregnancy with a twist.

A one weekend stand turns into a new life starting. But of course there is more. The support between the two main characters is heart warning. They don't just jump into a relationship because of a baby. They work together and plan ahead. Such a heartwarming story.

Really enjoyed this sweet story of Bianca and Niko. A one night stand that they both wished could last longer. Niko was staring his soccer career in Germany and Bianca's life was in New York until that all changed with a positive pregnancy test! It takes them a bit to get on the same page but throughout they both were hoping for the real deal! Fun read!
