A corporate whistleblower hides from a vengeful ex in her quirky hometown, only to find herself sharing lodging with the man hunting for her—who also happens to be her childhood crush.
Finley Marin ditches her wealthy boyfriend, Oakes Oakland, with plans to whistleblow on his scheme to repurpose her charming hometown as staff housing for his new luxury resort. The worst part? She may have inadvertently given him the idea.
Fired, frightened, but ready to fight, Finley escapes to Sandhill, the quirky Florida Keys artist colony where she spent the first eleven years of her life. It’s the only place she’s been really happy and the location of the only healthy relationship she ever had—in sixth grade. The skinny little boy she hasn’t seen in fifteen years still haunts her dreams. When she spots a room for rent in the old Victorian she dreamed of owning as a little girl, Finley assumes it’s fate. The place’s handyman is strangely familiar—and insanely hot. Problem is, he’s a man who seems to have even more secrets than her...
Retired soccer player Landon Hale works security for OakLand Resorts while rehabbing his barely operating Victorian bed and breakfast. He’s changed quite a bit from the spindly boy he once was, so when his childhood crush shows up on his doorstep and doesn’t seem to recognize him, he isn’t surprised. Unfortunately, introducing himself will be dicey—OakLand’s just hired him to hunt her down for stealing corporate secrets.
Finley and Landon’s reunion reignites sparks even as secrets complicate their fragile trust. The fate of Sandhill—and their future—hangs in the balance.
Whistleblow is a smart, laugh-out-loud, exhilarating story about true love, second chances, and the rewards of telling the truth when the world would rather you stay quiet.

When happiness is measured by your dreams about your childhood friend, that's a pretty significant detail to consider. When Finley returns to expose what she discovered about plans that will destroy her hometown, she discovers her friend, and nothing is the same again! What funny moments when Finley discovers the Inn and then the boy she loved there. Silly efforts to hide his true identity and his sister's as well with unbelievable lies end when Finley explains the danger the city faces. All pretence is forgotten and Landon joins forces with Finley to save their hometown from being destroyed. I loved learning about her family and meeting her father and uncle. The community is a haven for artists which further adds to the interesting story. Fast paced and complete with villains, there's tension, mystery, and love. Another wonderful book from a master storyteller, I was transported to Florida and immersed in the magic of the book!
This book was a good read but what I would really like is to read this book in print format and yes I would read and review the print book hopefully. I really liked the book that I'm hooked on series now but what I really want to do is read the whole series now that I'm hooked. This author when she writes her books writes and pulls the story lines and plots of book together very well Look forward to reading book again in the future hopefully in print format I highly recommend book
A delightful romantic comedy that sparkles with wit and charm, this book delivers an engaging narrative populated by vibrant, memorable characters. The author's skillful writing brings humor and authenticity to the storyline, creating a relatable and entertaining experience. Amy Vansant's distinctive style shines through, crafting a laugh-out-loud tale that captures the heart and tickles the funny bone.
Finley and Landon are childhood friends and when Finley discovers the appalling plan her so called boyfriend has for her childhood home, Finley returns to try to help the town and runs into Landon, both of whom pretend not to know who the other is at first. This is a.quirky, witty, arty and sweet romance and is an absolute delight to read.
What a perfect blend of humor, romance, and suspense. The childhood-crush-to-lovers storyline is adorable, and the secrets between Finley and Landon kept the tension high. The town of Sandhill feels like a character itself warm, strange, and full of heart. I finished this with a huge smile on my face.
Lighthearted and amusing, albeit overly descriptive at times. The author could trust the reader more to make connections and improve pace. But generally a pleasant novel.
