Honey Bee

After losing her husband to a terrorist attack in the Middle East, Tessa West is left to raise their daughter alone, clinging to the memory of a love that was supposed to last a lifetime.

Haunted by a battlefield promise and his own scars, Kasen Monroe has spent years protecting Tessa and her daughter from the shadows, never believing he's worthy of the life his best friend left behind, but feeling guilty for wanting it anyway.

In this slow burn romance of second chances, two broken souls must learn that opening their hearts to a new future isn't a betrayal of the past, but a beautiful way to honor the hero they both loved.

I've always been an enthusiastic reader with a love of many genres, but my heart belongs to romance the most! I live with my husband, four cats, and two dogs in Lancaster Ohio. I am a mildly obsessed fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets. I have the world's best job, working with adults with developmental disabilities. Writing a book has been a lifelong goal of mine and I am happy to say I can officially check it off the bucket list!

This was an emotional and beautifully written romance that stayed with me long after I finished reading. The story perfectly balances grief, healing, and hope, showing how two broken people can find love again without forgetting the past.
Tessa and Kasen are wonderfully developed characters whose journey feels authentic and heartfelt. The slow-burn romance is handled with care, allowing their relationship to grow naturally while honoring the memory of the hero who connected them. The emotional depth, strong character development, and touching themes of second chances make this a truly memorable read.
The author does an excellent job of creating a story that is both heartbreaking and uplifting. I found myself invested in every chapter and rooting for these characters to find happiness.
A moving, emotional, and satisfying romance that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys second-chance love stories, military romance, and deeply emotional character-driven books. Absolutely loved it.
