The Magic Lives Within You: A Journey Back to Your Divine Source

You are not lost. You are not missing anything. You’re simply caught in a story that made you forget your place in something larger.

In The Magic Lives Within You, Johanna Korkowski offers a quiet invitation to turn inward. Rather than presenting solutions, she brings the reader back to what has never left. Her reflections are simple, grounded, and steeped in stillness.

This book meets you where you are. It does not ask you to work harder or be better. It reflects what you already know—beneath the striving, the noise, and the questions. What you’re looking for has always been here.

This is not a book of answers. It is a mirror. A return. A shift in attention. If you’ve spent your life seeking peace, clarity, or connection, this book reminds you that they are not goals. They are your natural state.

The Magic Lives Within You is a comforting place to land. A space where you have always belonged.

This was not what I was expecting. I was curious about the concept and gave it a read but couldn’t connect with the content. It’s under 200 pages but with everything condensed it felt like 800. Felt like a heavy read.

Review: The Magic Lives Within You
Rating: ⭐⭐

I was initially drawn to The Magic Lives Within You because of its focus on spirituality and the concept of how we can alter our own perceptions and reality. As someone who loves learning about the universe and the power of the mind, the premise felt right up my alley.

The book is undeniably well-written and thought out. Johanna Korkowski has a clear voice, and the quality of the work is high. It is evident that a lot of care went into the structure of the message.

Unfortunately, I found the synopsis to be a bit misleading regarding the specific lens of spirituality being presented. I am not someone who follows traditional deities or enjoys literature centered around 'Gods' and I felt the book leaned much more heavily into religious spirituality than the summary suggested. Had this religious framing been clearer in the book’s description, I likely wouldn't have requested this specific title.

If you enjoy spirituality rooted in religious or deity-based traditions, this is a well-crafted and necessary read. However, if you prefer secular spiritual exploration, this may not be the right fit for you.

Thank you for allowing me to be an ARC reader!

I received this book in a Goodreads giveaway.

I often receive spiritual books from Goodreads giveaways. Most are awful, ego-based, toxic religion.

This book is very good. One I would recommend to others with only a couple caveats. It is written with love and encouragement. For the most part, it avoids toxic religion. However, because most of us were raised with a lot of negative messaging disguised as goodness. I shut down when I read the section that included “Everything happens for a reason.” This trope is misaligned with the rest of the book’s message. This statement is a rearing up of the ego that wants to feel that God had something special in mind for ME when God created this negative situation for ME. My rule, and my suggestion for the author is whenever an old trope threatens to emerge, pause and put it in your own words. It will likely morph into something that is truer to your experience.

💯💯💯💯💯I really appreciated the contents of this book. Had I read it a few months ago it would have been like
reading another language. If one is not aware of the Spiritual Awakening or New Earth or Spiritual and Souls subjects of what or who we are truly are... This book won't.. can't be truly appreciated for the empowerment and gifts it presents to those who are of the population I mentioned. In any event. I am thankful for the help, healing and understanding it provided for me during this stage of my Ascension. It is one I can return to daily. #NetGalley

The whole concept of spirituality is that it's a blend of many beliefs, but the author makes a big push towards Jesus and Christianity as being "the way." This is 100% a Christian religion book. I received this as a Goodreads Giveaway.

Stillness is the whole point and the reflections offer it in simple grounded language. Rather than offering solutions the book acts as a mirror for what you already carry. It'll resonate most with seekers who are tired of striving and ready to rest.

I was lucky enough to win “The Magic Lives Within You” through a Goodreads Giveaway, and I couldn’t have asked for a better match. This book aligned so deeply with my own philosophy and the perspective I’ve been cultivating over the past few years that it often felt like putting words to truths I had already begun discovering for myself.

Johanna Korkowski explores spirituality, intuition, self-discovery, and our relationship with the universe in a way that felt both affirming and inspiring. Rather than introducing entirely new ideas, this book solidified many lessons I’ve learned through my own journey, making me feel seen and encouraging me to continue trusting myself and the path I’m on.

I know the mystical nature of this book won’t resonate with everyone, and some readers may find its perspective unconventional. But for me, it was exactly what I needed. Its message felt expansive, hopeful, and deeply personal.

If you’re curious about spirituality beyond traditional frameworks, interested in understanding yourself on a deeper level, or simply looking for a book that encourages you to see more magic and meaning in the world around you, I highly recommend picking this one up. It was a beautiful reminder that so much of what we’re searching for is already within us.
