Claimed by the Rogue Shifter: A Fated Mates Paranormal Romance

Rate this book
Rogue Wolf Shifters cannot have fated mates, they said. Well… the heavens just smiled on me.

Maybe it's because I have no pack but use my abilities for good not harm. I live in plain sight, working as a firefighter in a small mountain town.

On a routine fire call, I catch a whiff of Vanilla and Wildflowers, her.

My wolf lost his damn mind.

Tessa Baker, trauma nurse with green eyes, and curves that make my control slip.

She doesn't know shifters exist. Doesn't know everything in me screams she’s mine.

We have a moment across a busy fire scene. Our eyes lock. My wolf howls. I take it slow, coffee, dinner. I find out her ex is stalking, escalating, threatening.

I offer a safe place to stay, my protection. In my cabin.

Her psycho ex just hired a hunter. And our mate bond is making it impossible to let her go.

Worst case scenario? She finds out what I am and runs—straight toward the man who wants her dead.

From the very first scene, Claimed by the Rogue Shifter pulls you straight into a blend of spicy paranormal romance and heart-pounding suspense. We meet Cam, a lone wolf shifter–no pack, no rules, just raw instinct—and the moment he catches a whiff of Tessa’s scent, it’s like his wolf throws a tantrum. Despite Cam’s “rouge” status, his sense of protectiveness kicks in full force when Tessa’s dangerous ex begins stalking her, and chaos ensues in the best possible way. The setup—firefighters, trauma nurses, hidden identities, and escalating threats—makes this feel like Wolf Meets Action Rom-Com that got lost in a thriller…and I loved it.
Cam’s determination to find his mate even without a pack was genuinely awesome. The way he courted Tessa—slowly, stubbornly, and with total commitment—was one of the book’s sweetest strengths. I laughed at his persistence (coffee dates + nervous wolf energy!) and cringed a little when Tessa absolutely freaked out the moment she found out he was a shifter—it was chaotic, adorable, and totally believable given the situation. The stalking subplot added depth and real stakes, making every tender moment between them feel hard-won and worthwhile.
The author’s writing is descriptive and immersive—there’s so much world-building and detail packed into every interaction that you really feel present in the story. That said, the richness sometimes slowed the pace a bit (just enough that I noticed it, but not enough that I didn’t keep reading nonstop!). Pacing swings a little between fiery passion, protective tension, and detailed exposition—but overall it serves the blend of romance and suspense well.
If you’re into shifters, fated mates, swoon-worthy protectors, and enough twisty danger to make your heart race, this one delivers. I felt totally invested in Cam and Tessa’s bond—and I’ll admit, his fierce loyalty made me cheer louder than I expected.
Verdict: A thrilling, sweet, and heartfelt paranormal romance with enough twists and heat to keep you flipping pages. Highly recommend for fans of fated mates and shifter worlds. ⭐⭐⭐⭐½

Tessa is trying to get on with her life after a bad experience with an ex, an ex that will not take no for an answer!
Cam has kept that he is a shifter secret, his father was killed by a hunter so he knows the dangers. However, being a firefighter, means he sometimes uses his strengths to rescue people, hoping nobody notices.
When Tessa and Cam first see each other, instantly they feel the attraction. But her ex will not back off.
This was a great read: Cam is very protective and a born hero, always wanting to rescue everyone, Tessa, being a trauma nurse, feels the need to also help people, especially her foster sister. The relationship between Cam and Tessa was a delight to behold, and the building of their unusual pack, gave me a warm feeling.

This book was Amazing...

The book is about Camoron and Tessa. Their love story is amazing. He is a shifter that believes in pack and protecting what is his. She is a human who explores the bond and stand by her love no matter what.

The book is well written and easy to read. It has a great storyline and it keeps you attention from start to finish. It has love, action, protection, laughter, banter and all that is good in the book.

I love shifter books and this one gets a 10 out of 10. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read.

What an amazingly intense book. This story has danger and chaos. The main characters were awesome. I loved hire the MMC found his mate regardless of being without a pack. Her Trotsky won me over when he courted the FMC since she didn’t know shifters existed. The way he tried to protect her from her ex. Scared the hell out of her when he told her what he was. It was sad that she ran. I loved the two of them together. Both were meant for each other.
This book was sweet and romantic, suspenseful. I loved reading this because of everything that took place. It was packed full of description and details. Very well written.

Cameron & Tessa - Together Becomes a Mantra
This was such a fresh immersion into the paranormal romance world. Written with so much fun lighthearted encounters, sometimes hilarious. But the story is a perfect balance between romance and drama around every corner. What is notable is that there are several POV, not just the main couple, which lends to depth in the supporting characters and a deeper connection to what is happening. I love the authors writing style, it is straightforward and yet engaging and easy to read.

Claimed by the Rogue Shifter delivers a fast, addictive blend of danger and destiny. Ayla’s fierce resilience meets its match in Ronan, the brooding rogue shifter who’s equal parts lethal and loyal. Their chemistry sparks from the start, and as threats close in, their fated bond becomes impossible to deny. Iva J. Rivers crafts a sharp, emotional paranormal romance that’s easy to devour and hard to forget.

I really enjoyed this book. If I had a complaint it would be how many times they kept mentioning family and pack.... the other issue is that Flinn seemed to change his "role" throughout the story, but those were minor. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this and plowed through it very quickly.

Like the story line and characters as it’s different from the usual shifter books, a little too fast paced for me, just felt a little too rushed through the story but I still enjoyed it.

Firefighter wolf shifter

A great wolf shifter romance. This is a story full of action, attraction, fire and heat, wolf shifters, a firefighter, a nurse and a troublesome ex, plenty of twists, slow-build romance and love.

Tessa is a trauma nurse and just wants to have time to herself and a chance to move on from her ex, one that doesn't want to let her go. Cam is a firefighter, using his hidden shifter strength to help others. When they first meet the attraction is undeniable and the heat just grows.

A wonderful read with a protective MMC and a FMC who also wants to help everyone. There's great world building, plenty of details and some lovely heartwarming moments between the main characters throughout the story.
