Ohhhh, that was Smashing! Simply Smashing! I love Ike and Wisp add in Mag and Shawn and you have a Monster team. They're soul goal is to strengthen their skills and abilities inorder to stop Llewyn and Brightbriar in their power hungry manaicial grab to rule the world. But this story isn't about those two, nah'ah. It's about our intrepid Monster team of adventures. And Ike finds a challenge that he couldn't pass by! The challenge is set up like a tournament and pre-set to challenge the strongest mages. Kinda sorta like capture the flag only with Castles and Monster Waves. Ike realizes that everyone, and I mean everyone has'ta pull together and fight, even the opposing teams if they want to survive! It's a challenge that no one is ment to win! So yeah AwesomeSauce grab this fun book and have a Smashing good time!!!
This entry was just so much "less" than previous books. The series title is "Skill Hunter", yet he gets exactly one skill in this book (which almost seems an afterthought) and barely improves a couple others. Add to that it's called "A LitRPG Adventure", but there are zero listings (or even references) to actual numbers, improvements, progression, status, etc. Combine that with the entire book taking place in one small setting essentially doing the same thing over and over again and the whole thing just feels weak.
I'll probably eventually read the next one, but I won't be in a hurry. Not even putting it on my release calendar.
There was nothing holding this story together and it fell apart for me at chapter nineteen. The characters aren’t anything special or likable and there was no plot to keep me interested. Sure the overall mystery with the dolls is interesting but all the sub plots take too long to develop and resolve. The series started serious and grave but now is just silly.
Lost interest in this story I hate goofy side kicks its just not my thing pretty much every thing about this book I did not enjoy I don't think I will read any more
