I accidentally married a bad boy hockey player…and now I’m pregnant. He was my brother’s best friend, teasing me ruthlessly and making me hate his guts. Now he’s a grumpy heartbreaker, and I’m his team’s physician. Until he hears I’m a virgin… That’s when he teaches me lessons, and I wake up in Vegas with a wedding band around my finger.
I just graduated med school and am excited about my first real job. It’s just that he is on the team. And not just on the team—the star that wins all the games. I tell myself that he won’t remember me, but he does... He’s my first patient, fakes injuries, and knocks down anyone who dares to look at me.
I try to keep things professional, but then the Vegas trip pushes us into close proximity. When people laugh that I’m still a virgin, he says he’ll teach me the ropes. But the lessons get out of hand, and the giant sparkler on my hand tells me something more happened last night. And when the news gets out, we have to fake it, or I might lose my job…
But how much longer can I fake it…when my belly grows with his baby?
The Miami Icebreakers players are infuriatingly hot, cocky, and grumpy. But when they meet the one, they will give everything to win the game of love…
It was okay. I actually felt a lot of rage at this couple because they were so very annoying (possible spoilers ahead)
h is a DOCTOR and I bolded that because I feel it’s important to explain my frustration at this character.
H is an NHL player. Manho. Has different “models” all the time.
H/h grew up together. H is BFF with h’s twin brother, who also plays for the NHL. H was a bully to h, pulling her hair, giving her stupid nicknames, running off guys who liked her, just basically being a d-bag.
h is finally a doctor and she was hired by the NHL. It so happens to be the team H plays on. He is immediately all “OMG I WANT HER SO MUCH” and his POV tells us he’s always loved her. Righttttt?
A POV from H
“I never forgot her, never could completely get her out of my head, no matter who was in my bed”
Sweet! Swoon! Nothing makes a woman happier than knowing some man has f’ed MANY women but they imagine you instead. 👀👀🫣
Anyway, they go to Vegas and get drunk….then get married. h is still a V. (Because ofc)
Then the rest of the book is these two fighting over and over and over again. He keeps trying to show her that he loves her. She keeps thinking this is some prank he’s doing.
Surprise! She ends up pregnant.
h’s brother finds out and completely loses HIS SHITE. He basically beats the tar out of H while also causing his sister to land on the ground. Yikes
When you mess with a manho, eventually those ho ways always comes back to bite you. And they do here because h doesn’t trust H at all. He meets up with a woman. h asked him later where he was at and he told her meeting with PR. h is like noooooooo. Then he admits he had to meet up with a teammates sister to “help her” which h then discovers this m’fer lied again. No, he wasn’t doing anything wrong but he straight up lied twice. (He actually met up with a designer for a surprise for h. It was to make up the baby room)
It’s not until he admits he actually loved h when they were kids, that she fully accepts him.
What
The
Fuxk???
No. That’s all it took to solve all your problems? I’m not buying it.
I guess later h’s brother finally accepts their relationship. He calls after H wins the Stanley cup to say he’s just been traded to H’s team. Fantastic!
Ugh
Random but can authors please stop with the “pucked” in titles???????
Allie went to Miami , she was called for a job as a physician on a hockey team , Miami ice breakers. She booked a Hotel room because she had no time to find an apartment, before she went to work she was taking coffee and she was checking on her phone who are the players and how they good in playoffs, until she saw the team captain Ryan Kingsley , she almost choked on her coffee because he was her twin brother’s best friend , he bullied her from she was small , every where they went she was their shadow. When she went to her first day the coach introduced her to the team , Ryan stood back but she saw he curled his lips. Than she was at her office a knock starlet her and he came inside, he tells her that it’s been years that he saw her. Ryan knew that Allie was coming because her brother phoned him to warn him to take a look at his sister and to tell his teamates to stay back, but he didn’t knew that Ryan had a crush on her from the 5 th grade, he tells her there’s going to be a welcoming dinner for you tonight but when she went the table was for two people. An amazing story that I recommend to read
I am trying so very hard not to judge this book by the painful experience that was the audiobook. This was my first time listening to an AI generated auidobook and it was truly terrible. Like nails on a chalkboard level of pain. All the characters sounded the same and had very strange voice inflections. I could go on and on about how bad it was, but I honestly don't want to think about the experience anymore.
All I can say about the actual book is that she's a terrible doctor. Why would she, as a doctor, ever have sex with a known playboy without a condom, and still take over two months to figure out she was pregnant. Seriously? And I was very unclear about his motivation in not telling her had had always loved her. That made no sense.
I really liked the Mmc. He is the reason I finished this book. The fmc is annoying and childish. Every fight they had her and her past hangups and it gets tiring, there is spice but you can’t enjoy it because of the inner dialogue from her and the fight that happens later. It had a semi happy ending but you go through whole book and you don’t even get to find out what the baby is.
welp, this book was trash. For a doctor, allie is not the sharpest tool in the shed. These two do nothing but argue over the dumbest things. Also who just accidentally gets married? idk maybe I expected more. Allie finally accepts ryan loves her after he confesses hes loved her since they were kids.
Great story. Short and sweet with plenty of spice. Angst Golden Retriever MMC Black Cat Virgin FMC Accidental Pregnancy Accidental Marriage MOC Second Chance all rolled into one
Ugh, this book was such a struggle to get through. I couldn't stand the main couple's dynamic at all. It felt super unhealthy from the very beginning, honestly. I kept hoping it would get better, but nope. Definitely not my kind of romance.
What a terrific page turning book right here. So, STOP whatever you’re reading and start reading this 5/5-star hockey romance book. It delivers a terrific storyline with some engaging characters.
