Hannah

Rate this book
Hannah has spent years moving carefully through the world—wanted, admired, yet rarely seen for who she truly is. John has stepped back for different reasons. Once, the cost of loving someone was too high, and solitude felt safer than risking his heart again.

Neither is looking for connection. Both have learned to protect themselves.

But when their paths cross, something shifts. In the quiet rhythm of ordinary days—shared glances, hesitant conversations, small acts of gentleness—a fragile bond begins to take shape. Not dramatic. Not rushed. But real.

Hannah is a slow-burn romance about choosing to risk to be met instead of managed, held instead of overshadowed. It is the story of two people relearning trust, tenderness, and the simple courage to be truly seen.

Perfect for readers who crave emotionally intimate love stories, quiet tension, and romance that lingers long after the final page.

a really soft, introspective read. it leans heavily into emotional growth and the idea of learning how to be seen and valued in a relationship, which i appreciated. the connection between the characters felt genuine, and i liked that it focused more on healing than big dramatic moments. that said, it does move pretty slowly and at times felt a little repetitive in the internal dialogue. i found myself wanting a bit more depth or development in certain moments to fully stay invested.
overall, it’s a solid, easy read if you’re in the mood for something character-driven, but it didn’t completely wow me. still worth picking up if you like slower emotional romances

I finished in one sitting. The writing just flows like poetry.
The book is the beginning of a love story that feels safe, secure and honest. The saying "when you know, you know", comes to mind. I personally could relate 100% to the love Hannah and John found.
Sometimes love hits with "fireworks" and sometimes it hits like "home".
Johan writes a beautiful love story with an ending leaving me to believe there will be more to come.

Hannah was a little slow moving throughout the 500+ pages but I kept reading as I wanted to find out how it ended. The ending was very disappointing!! No hints leading up to the ending, just bam! it was done!
