Everyone in town is thrilled when Harmony Lake is selected to host the country’s largest annual yarn and fibre festival. If there’s one thing our cozy, tight-knit community does well, it’s plan a party!
This year’s theme is Knit Fast, Dye Young, and features a speed knitting competition and free yarn dyeing lessons for kids.
But happiness turns to horror when someone takes the theme literally and a world-renowned yarn dyer turns up dead in a vat of her signature red dye called, Be Still My Bleating Heart.
Who killed the famous fibre artist? Why is everyone who knew her acting so sheepish all of a sudden? Why are Aunt Dorothy's hands covered in red dye?
Can I stitch together the clues and needle out whodunit before another victim dies? I hope so, but with thousands of extra people in town for the fibre festival, finding a killer is like searching for a knitting needle in a haystack.
If you like your cozy mysteries with a bit of humour, small town Canadian life, a hint of romance, a close circle of quirky, lovable characters that you wish you knew in real life, dogs and cats and other pets, and free knitting patterns, there's something in this series for you.
No graphic violence, sex, or strong language.

In the latest Knitorious Murder Mystery Harmony Lake is preparing for a huge fiber festival. As Megan, the charity knitters and towns people prepare for the festivities, one of the foremost dyers of yarn is found dead in the basement with Eric's aunt nearby out cold. As always Reagan Davis has written a mystery full of twists and turns as well as a host of quirky characters.. I have really enjoyed getting to know all her wonderful characters and their unique personalities as this series has progressed. Disturbing the Fleece is a great mystery but is also filled with enough humor to keep the pages turning and reader engrossed. I highly recommend this book to all cozy mystery readers.
I received a copy for an honest review. Harmony Lake is having a yarn and fibre festival and everyone is preparing to have a successful time. Megan is aware of tension between Annabelle and Dawn who had been partners but have parted ways. Megan's aunt Dorothy had been co-ordinating the vendor set-ups but after a disagreement, she seems to go missing. Megan and April search for her and find her slumped over in the basement, covered in red dye. They also find Annabelle dead in a container of her dye. Did Dorothy kill her or someone else. Dorothy is rushed to hospital and Megan finds out she was drugged. Who could have killed Annabelle. Her husband, her rival Dawn could she have had problems with someone else. Ms. Davis has constructed a wonderful story with leads to unravel and alibis that seem solid but one never knows. I recommend this story.
Knitorious is back and as good as ever! Lots of yarn, favorite characters, and loads of witty puns! There's even an Alpacalypse! I envy the citizens of Harmony Lake. I wish I could attend a fibre festival similar to the one in the book. I miss the now closed local yarn shops. The mystery was well constructed and kept me guessing. I really liked Aunt Dorothy. (My mom's name was Dorothy, and I had an Aunt Dorothy on my dad's side of the family. She did beautiful tatting. She tried to teach me, but I just couldn't get the shuttle to work the way it was supposed to. (I'm an excellent knitter and crocheter, though.) ! Thank you Ms. Davis for continuing one of my favorite cozy series. I'm so happy you've been able to continue the series! Welcome back.
Waited a long time for the return to Harmony Lake! Wasn’t sure if it would happen. What a wonderful continuation of a great series. Well written and outstanding example of a community supporting each other. As always Megan and Eric and friends work together to solve a murder. Love the story and the surprise ending. If you haven’t read this series, it’s time to start!
This was just so good and it was really hard to figure out who did it. So it's very well written. I love the back stories and all the research that went into the information that was added. It gives it so much more depth to the story.
I’ve been waiting a long time for this book and it was totally worth the wait. I’ve really missed the characters and am so glad to be able to catch up with them again. Definitely a little bit of a surf at the end. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.
I love this series, and I wish I could write a review that would do it justice. These book provide me with three of my favourite things, reading, yarn and mysteries. The only thing missing are some crochet stories.
