Andrew King:
Asexual, autistic, and the eldest of four brothers, Andrew King knows exactly who he is. He’s spent his life prioritizing everyone else’s needs over his own, so agreeing to his friend's plea to be the fake boyfriend of an infamous hockey player feels like just another sacrifice, until it isn’t. He expects his perfectly ordered life to be thrown into chaos, but he’s not prepared to accidentally fall for the man who made it clear Andrew isn’t his type. But that’s fine. Andrew has years of practice hiding his own hurt and needs, and he’s sure he can survive being Nicholas Whitmore's fake boyfriend without breaking his own heart. Maybe.

Nicholas Whitmore:
Nicholas Whitmore is many things: a successful NHL player, a wealthy playboy, and a world-class asshole. When his emotionally-negligent parents request his presence to keep up appearances at a networking event disguised as his father’s birthday party, Nicholas is determined to prove he’s more than the disappointment they think he is. His plan to bring home a fake boyfriend hits a snag when Nicholas realizes neither his money or looks are enough to win Andrew over. He should hate Andrew's no-nonsense peculiarities, but Nicholas rapidly finds himself obsessed. What started as a fake relationship turns anything but when Nicholas finds, for the first time in his life, something besides hockey he’s willing to fight for.

Lucky Hart has done it again! Andew and Nicki have stolen my heart. I see so much of myself in Andrew as a self-diagnosed Autistic early 30's adult. I've been rooting for Andrew since the beginning and I'm so glad he got his happy ever after with Nicki. Nicki is an acquired taste, but it's not all his fault. Give him a chance and you'll see he's not as bad as he makes himself seem.

I already need a reread of this series - thankfully the audiobooks are coming out this year!

I cannot stop thinking about their story and I have so many feelings. I'm so thankful to have their story, but I'm also sad to be leaving the King brothers as this is the last of their books. I cannot wait to see what Lucky graces us with next!

I absolutely devoured this book!!

Where to begin? We’ve got a fake dating to lovers story, where one of the MCs is a hockey player (but it’s not really a hockey romance, as the sport takes a bit of a backseat—it enables some really great moments between Nicki and Andrew, but the sport itself isn’t what’s important in this book, and you can absolutely read it without knowing anything about the sport), the other is an accountant for the franchise, but they’ve never met before the start of this story. Fake dating turns to forced proximity for safety reasons and then feelings occur and we get a beautiful love story!!

I loved loved LOVED the possessiveness, “mine”, “princess”, the stimming with the hair and the tattoos… all of it. The characters were so good for each other, and I adored how safe Nicki made Andrew feel almost from the start, and how he was able to see through Andrew’s masking and “I’m fine” when he clearly wasn’t and get him to open up about things. Their communication about Andrew being ace and what that means for him when it comes to relationships and intimacy were excellent and I hope every ace person on the planet (who wants a relationship) finds someone who treats them as respectfully as Nicki treated Andrew, making him feel desired but not pressured or lacking in any way for wanting what he wanted and not wanting other things.

This is the fourth (and I think final?) book in a series of stand-alones. I have not read the other books, and I didn’t feel like that impacted my enjoyment in any way, but I did get curious about Andrew’s brothers and their partners, so I’d definitely be interested in reading their books sometime later!

The story feels kind of slow-burn, because it’s 470 pages long and the animosity doesn’t turn into real feelings/declarations for a whiiiile—but the timespan in the book is only a few weeks, and the characters do talk about whether some things are “too soon” because of that, sooo… make of that what you will! 😊

The story is told in third person, with both Andrew’s and Nicki’s perspectives, which is indicated at the start of each chapter.

The epilogue was absolutely beautiful, and I loved how Andrew’s family is so involved. I adored his parents as well, and almost teared up alongside Nicki when they proved to be the complete opposites of Nicki’s own parents, immediately welcoming him into the family 🥰

IN SUMMARY:
💜 Grumpy, selfish hockey player / people pleaser accountant
💜 Fake dating
💜 Possessive MC
💜 Hurt/comfort - both ways
💜 Non-sexual intimacy
💜 Ace rep
💜 Autism rep
💜 Overprotective family vs absentee parents
💜 HEA

I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Not a single one of these books has left me with dry eyes.  I knew it was coming; I was emotional over it before the arc even landed - and when I got to the dedication , that sealed it for me. (See what I did there).

Let's talk about Andrew...I totally get why the author calls him the love of her life because now he's mine too. He's selfless to a fault - the master of masking and suffering in silence because he thinks it makes him easier to love. It takes Nicholas, in all his pain in the ass glory, to recognize Andrew's pain and show him that he is worthy of being seen for exactly who he is.

Nicholas is...going to piss you off but believe when when I tell he is an angel from above sent directly to Andrew for the sole purpose of making his princess feel as safe and loved as humanly possible.  Maybe even inhumanly possible.  Their meet-cute is not so cute and when he opened his mouth, I'm pretty sure I said "this mf" out loud to absolutely no one.  And then right after said "well damn" because it's so clear early on that his salty exterior is a defense mechanism.

As my good friend Hazel Grace would say...they fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly and then all at once.  It was supposed to be fake...they didn't see each other coming.  They are a most unexpected pairing that couldn't have fit together more perfectly. The way they see each other and become that safe space they both desperately needed makes my heart feel like it's bursting.

The non-sexual intimacy is something I was looking forward to the most in this book and when I tell you I *ache* over everything that develops between Nicki and Andrew. It is beautiful and everything Andrew never knew he could have - while also being everything Nicki didn't even know he wanted.

On a personal note, just call me Andrew the way I've never felt so seen and represented in a book. Submitting name change paperwork next week.

How do those sayings go… save the best for last? Parting is such sweet sorrow? Because honestly, both feel like they apply perfectly to Seal the Deal.

And finally—Andrew’s story.

As someone fully invested in this series, I’ve been waiting (not so patiently) for this book, and it absolutely delivered. I had high expectations going in, and Lucky Hart somehow managed to meet—and in many ways exceed—them.

Andrew has always been the brother who intrigued me the most. He’s guarded, emotionally closed off, and quietly hurting. As someone who self-identifies as having ADHD, Andrew has built walls around himself as a way to cope and protect his feelings. Watching his brothers find love only reinforces his belief that he’s somehow “too much” or not enough for someone to stay.

Enter Nicholas.

Fake boyfriend. Billionaire. Grumpy, blunt, and—on the surface—completely insufferable.

Their first interactions are rough, to say the least. It’s very much hate at first sight, with Nicholas seeing Andrew as uptight and pompous, while Andrew finds Nicholas rude and impossible. But underneath all that tension is the perfect foundation for an opposites-attract romance that slowly, beautifully unfolds.

What really stood out for me was how Andrew’s neurodivergence was portrayed. Lucky Hart doesn’t just label it—she shows it. The misunderstandings, the emotional overwhelm, the internal battles… and at times, the quiet heartbreak of feeling unseen, even within his own family. Those moments were incredibly powerful and added a depth to the story that made it more than just a romance.

And Nicholas? I did not expect to love him as much as I did.

Yes, he starts off as an A-grade asshole—but as the story progresses, it becomes clear that he sees Andrew in a way others don’t. He notices the things that matter. He understands what’s beneath the surface. Watching him peel back Andrew’s  layers and respond with patience, care, and growing affection had me firmly in his corner. I became a full-on cheerleader for him.

The King family continues to be one of the highlights of this series. Their dynamic brings humour, warmth, and just the right amount of chaos. Seeing Nicholas navigate such a close-knit, openly loving family—so different from his own background—added another layer to his character. And of course, Charlie’s protectiveness over Andrew made for some memorable moments.

At its core, Seal the Deal is a story about self-worth, acceptance, emotional growth, and unconditional love. It’s about learning that you are worthy of being chosen, even when you don’t believe it yourself.

Lucky Hart took me on a full emotional journey with this one. I laughed, I teared up, and I found myself completely invested in every step of Andrew and Nicholas’s story. And when I reached the end, I wasn’t ready to let go.

That’s the bittersweet part of finishing a series you love—but the best thing about books is that these characters are never truly gone. I’ll absolutely be revisiting the King family again.

Thank you to the author for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A million stars for this book!!!!!!
I just finished it and I'm writing this with tears in my eyes.
I'm speechless at how beautiful and perfect this book is, just know that this book is now my absolute favorite.

🗓️ release date may 13.

*********

How do I even begin to talk about this book that made me rethink so many things? This book wasn’t “just a book” it was a story, it was a lesson, and honestly, calling it my new favorite book doesn’t even begin to do it justice.

Andrew and Nicki stole my heart; they’re two characters I didn’t know I needed to read about until now. Their story, their romance, was everything good in this world, and if you’re reading this, let me tell you that I’m not objective because by the first two chapters I was already crying for Andrew, and he became my new protegé. The whole story was an emotional rollercoaster, tears here, laughter there, EVERYTHING. I couldn’t stop reading for a single moment; I stayed up all night reading, but at the same time, I didn’t want it to end.

These two protagonists are complex; they have their flaws, but that’s what made them real to me. The author wrote each chapter with such care and love that I fell completely in love (yes, even with Nicki in the first few chapters), these two characters were soulmates, exactly what each needed without even knowing it. The “found family” dynamic was beautiful, the Kings are the kind of family you wish were your own, the kind you know will be there through thick and thin, and that was fully evident here.

I’m sad to say goodbye to the King brothers, but this book was the perfect way to wrap up the series on a high note.

📌 I received an e-arc, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.

The way this book hit so close to home, it did something to my soul. I couldn't stop reading but also never wanted it to end. I'm in awe and speechless. It was my first book from Lucky Hart. I picked the arc because I love fake dating and I am always attached to autism and ace rep. Did it deliver? Hell yeah. The way it gripped me from the start and never let go. I fell so hard for them and the writing. If I could give ten thousand stars, I would. Infinite love and ultimate favorite.

There is something so deeply raw and emotional when characters who live their daily lives with masks and walls on, even with close ones, meet someone who can see behind the cracks. It's so genuine, and it was heartwarming to see it unfold page after page and see them showing their true selves and learning it was okay to be themselves and be loved for it, especially at their worst.

Andrew's characterization was magnificently done. The way he lives his asexuality, his autism, the way he views the world, his needs he doesn't expect to matter and instead bends to the whole world, and his belief of being less or not enough to someone else because of it. Oh boy, that was soul-wrenching and deeply moving. Their conversation from especially, the way it finally crystalizes in words how fearful he is and how unsure. How he couldn't even imagine someone would deem him worthy. I wanted to keep him safe and protect him from everyone and everything, and I could have screamed in joy every time Nicholas stood up for him and was the protector and got him to feel finally safe and cared for. Nicholas Whitmore, oh my gosh, the man that you are, give him all the awards for best boyfriend because he totally is and more.

I could scream forever about how emotional those two were. How perfectly they were for each other. So much that I had to take breaks and reread parts again and again because I couldn't believe what was happening and how precious and genuine and important the words and intimacy they shared were. The intimacy, which was everything, was so gentle and caring, with sex never being an obligation or a follow-up but just two touch-starved souls yearning for love after being so deprived on some level their whole lives. It was so precious and delicate, it healed something in me.

Dear Author, I love your words, I love your mind, I love your characters, I love you xD Now I have no choice but to read the previous books, I just can't pass on it, and I am very glad because it means more beautiful stories to discover.

ARC review.

Seal the Deal was such a cute story! I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and their journey through this ‘deal’ they both got themselves in!

What started as an arrangement so that Nicholas Whitmore [27 years old], famous hockey player for Santa Leone’s team, could prove to his parents that someone could care for him transformed into something he wasn’t prepared for: the lovely and precious Andrew King [32 years old] being his ✨️ fake-boyfriend ✨️ But is it that fake?

At first, those two couldn’t really stand each other, more annoyed by the other’s presence than anything. However, the more time they spent together, the more they learned about each other. I actually loved them together, especially their banter!

What touched me the most was Andrew’s portrayal as an autistic person; it felt real and authentic and the author described it perfectly. The way he navigated life, his struggles – I honestly related to him on many levels! The fact that he found comfort and safety in Nicholas, who’s his antithesis in every aspect, was heartwarming. I could felt the care they both had for the other, how Nicholas accepted and understood Andrew. Yeah, I was definitely sold.

The story was marketed with the trope ‘intimacy’ and I wasn’t disappointed by that! I won’t lie, it was the main reason I applied for an ARC because I really wanted a relationship that wasn’t purely based on the physical. And the author delivered: sharing a bed and cuddling without having sex, showering the other, taking care of the other when he’s sick, stimming on his hair, and many more little things that just made me overall happy with the development of their relationship. Coupled with a Nicholas completely gone for Andrew, it was even better.

The writing could have used some improvement. There were such a lot of background details about their families and own feelings, I was bored at some point. Those two characters sure had a lot of thoughts! Some repetitions were present too. Nothing major, though.

Nicholas’ character was what scared me the most. Not because he’s described as an entitled asshole, but because Andrew, who’s asexual, was paired up with a huge playboy. Not my favorite dynamic if I’m being honest.

Nonetheless, the story was safe enough for me. We got quite a few reminders of Nicholas’ past and how much he used to have sex frequently [maybe a teeny-weeny unnecessary details. . .] but surprise, surprise, there wasn’t any scene with other people. Once he met Andrew, Nicholas hadn’t been with anyone. He mentioned in his point of view, during his first ‘fake-date’ with Andrew, that if it weren’t for that, he would have gone to a bar to hook-up with someone [that never happened], and later, when he realized he was attracted to Andrew, how he needed to ‘fuck someone else’s brain out to lose some steam’ but never sought anyone for that matter [fortunately!]. All in all, safety-wise, it was fine.

**I was gifted an ARC copy of this book**

I’ve been anxiously waiting for Andrew’s story ever since I finished Break the Rule, and this one definitely delivered. Easy 4.5⭐️

Andrew is the eldest King sibling and carries so much responsibility on his shoulders. He’s the “easy” one—the one everyone relies on—while quietly pushing aside his own wants and needs. As an autistic character, he’s spent so much time masking to keep the peace that the people around him don’t really see what he actually needs. It honestly made my heart ache for him.

Then there’s Nicholas—self-proclaimed a**hole, professional pot stirrer, who surprisingly very perceptive and intuitive. From the start, he sees Andrew in a way no one else really does. He notices the things Andrew hides, appreciates the traits others overlook or get annoyed by, and becomes fiercely protective of him. And in return, Andrew is drawn to Nicholas’s honesty and the way he shows up for him without pretending to be anything he’s not.

Watching their relationship grow was so sweet. They really balance each other—Nicholas softens over time, while Andrew starts to relax and feel safe being himself. I loved how patient Nicholas was with him, and the whole “Princess” nickname + wanting to pamper him dynamic? Adorable. The caretaking moments, especially when Andrew was sick, were some of my favorites. It was nice to see such strong intimacy between them that wasn’t just focused on physical chemistry.

I also really loved the scenes with the King family. Eden’s protectiveness over Andrew was great to see, and the bond between them felt really genuine. And seeing Andrew’s family welcome Nicholas with open arms—especially after what we learn about his own family—was such a healing, full-circle moment.

Overall, this was such a sweet, comforting read. I’m always a sucker for a neurodivergent MC finding someone who truly loves and accepts them exactly as they are, and this book absolutely delivered on that. If you’re into MM romance with low spice, low angst, fake dating, dislike-to-lovers vibes, and a soft slow burn, I’d definitely recommend picking this one up..

I received a copy of this book for my honest review.

Book 4 in the Kings of Heart Series, Andrew and Nicholas.

Oh my heart. Andrew. The eldest brother, the steady brother, the caretaker, selfless, worried, lonely brother. Andrew is desperate to fit into normal society and to be liked. He also feels inferior not only to his more socially comfortable brothers, but especially to his identical twin. He loves them all very much but also feels jealousy that he literally can’t allow himself to be open, relaxed, social in the ways that come naturally and easily to them. But Andrew just wants to make everyone happy, it makes himself feel useful and needed.

Nicholas is an a-hole, not caring about anyone or what they think. The was raised by emotionally negative/absent parents and by nannies, and that translated into his adult like as being an emotionally phobic adult.

The way Lucky writes her characters effortlessly, they just make sense, even in situations or personalities that don’t make sense to the average reader. The sexual preferences and emotional needs as described in this book were foreign to me in the beginning but by the end I can understand, or at least I try to understand, how their needs are met and can be fulfilling to eachother. The emotional and sexual intimacy is arranged and displayed in a way that is beautiful and enlightened me to that part of the spectrum.

Both men have base desires that are able to be met by the other, and their love, understanding of eachother, and acceptance allow them to truly be each others safe space to be THEMSELVES.

The fake dating to friends to everything is done really well here, and the bad boy, a-hole to everyone but him trope is chefs kiss. Also seeing Andrew’s family completely rally around him is so emotional, especially when you think that they’ve always been there but Andrew didn’t realize. And Nicholas being absorbed into the fold easily and seamlessly, exactly the family he’s always wanted but never understood or thought he would have.

A great final book in a fantastic series. I’m sad to say goodby to the King men.

Book: Seal the Deal
Author: Lucky Hart

Genre: LGBTQIA+ Romance
Series: King of Hearts
Setting: Sierra Leone, CA
POV: Dual Main Character POV

My Thoughts:

Y’all…….I have had to wait two weeks after reading to not cry while writing a review.

I have read the King of Hearts series and have always been drawn to Andrew and his characters. As someone who has Autism, I find very few characters that embody how I feel. Andrew’s character masks a lot of his interactions and puts others' needs before even his own needs.

Enter Nicholas

Nicholas Whitmore, an heir to a fortune and asshole hockey player, begins his relationship with Andrew to please his father. Nicholas becomes possessive of Andrew and ends up falling in love with him.

The conflict between Andrew’s mask he wears for others and how the mask shatters when Nicholas cares for Andrew is an important detail to recognize in this story. Andrew becomes the sole view of Nicholas’s life and his love for Andrew is unlike anything I have ever seen in a queer romance novel. Nicholas will do anything for Andrew including the scene with the hockey jersey (you have to read because I will not spoil it).

The love Andrew has for Nicholas as their fake dating narrative moves to a true relationship shows that Andrew wants to be loved by someone, but he is choosing to protect his own heart from shattering. Andrew desires what his brothers have in their partners, but he fears being with someone who will not respect his “weird ways” as Andrew uses to describe his daily routines and needs. Side note to Andrew’s way of life, I also have a deep desire to have my work clothes and home clothes be completely separated. This is a MUST for me.

Hart writes Andrew and Nicholas’s love story in a way that shows every raw emotion, every thought and desire each has for each other, and centered on closing the chapter of the King siblings. I did not want to let the King siblings go, but I loved seeing each brother get their own happy ending and make cameos in this story (Hint: Eden is iconic in this story and his love for Andrew).

A special thank you to Lucky Hart for a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review

ARC Review

The dedication set the tone immediately—I knew I wasn’t getting through this without crying.

I absolutely loved this book—and honestly, I expected nothing less. Andrew’s story was highly anticipated, and it was absolutely worth the wait. As a huge fan of the series, I’d been counting down to this release (I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy), and Lucky Hart completely delivered. I went in with high expectations, and somehow they were still exceeded.

Andrew, as the eldest King sibling, carries an immense amount of responsibility. He’s the dependable one, the one everyone turns to, even when it means putting his own needs aside. Watching him mask his autism to not be a bother, while quietly feeling unseen and misunderstood by those around him, was deeply emotional and, at times, heartbreaking.

Nicholas, on the other hand, is happy to be called A**hole—with a capital A, he thrives on stirring up trouble and pushing boundaries. He can be abrasive and difficult, but beneath that is someone who understands Andrew in a way no one else does. Learning more about his past and the lack of love he experienced growing up adds depth to his character. He sees the parts of Andrew others overlook, values what others dismiss, and becomes quietly, fiercely protective of him. In turn, Andrew is drawn to Nicholas’s honesty and the way he shows up as his authentic self without apology.

Nicki and his “princess” might not seem like an obvious match at first, but that’s exactly what makes their dynamic so compelling. Their banter, their clashes, and the underlying respect they have for each other made their relationship feel authentic and engaging. At its core, they simply understand one another—and that’s what makes it work. Everyone deserves to be loved, understood, and protected the way Nicki loves Andrew.

There were multiple moments in this book that genuinely brought me to tears. Lucky Hart’s portrayal of neurodivergent characters is thoughtful, compassionate, and refreshingly respectful. From Emmerson to Andrew, their experiences are handled with care, and their needs are presented with clarity and understanding.

It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the Kings series. I’ve grown incredibly attached to these characters and their journeys, but ending with Andrew felt like the perfect, heartwarming conclusion.

I don’t think I can be the only Kings of Heart series fan that would say that Andrew is their favourite. He’s always been my favourite- even as a side character I just knew his book would be amazing. It feels a bit sad that his book is also the last in the series but also perfect because now the King brothers all have their men now, even Andrew.
Now, I’m
Not a huge fan of fake dating usually, but for Andrew King I would literally do anything and it turned out to be fantastic. When Andrew’s asked a favour by one of his best friends, of course he says yes, it’s Andrew, that’s what he does. When he meets the favour that’s when the fun starts. Nicholas Whitmore is a famous hockey player. He’s attractive, wealthy and the press love his antics, but he is an absolute asshole. He doesn’t hide it, he doesn’t pretend to be nice and he always says what he means. These two couldn’t be more opposites but nevertheless, when Andrew agrees to fake date Nicki they start to get to know each other better and neither is what the other expects.
In Nicki Andrew finds a safe place. A place he can unmask, be himself and have whatever he needs or wants. In Andrew Nicki finds a person who will care for him when no else ever has. Nicki is fiercely protective of Andrew and I was here for it all. Andrew is the most beautiful character, complex and perfect. The autism and ace representation felt perfect for Andrew and felt authentic. Nicki never once asked Andrew to be more or less than he was, never asked him to pretend and gave Andrew everything he didn’t even know he wanted.
These two should be protected at all costs!

“You went to see him because you wanted to see him. Did you miss him?” “I don’t miss people,”

Seal the Deal by Lucky Hart is the fourth and last book in the Kings of Heart series. It’s been like saying goodbye to actual friends. I’ve been waiting forever for Andrew’s story. When he showed up in Cross the Line I hoped his book would be the last one. I knew that seeing him in all his brother’s stories would just make me crave his even more. And I was totally right. It was such a rush seeing him with Nicholas. They are just so perfect for each other. Definitely my favourite.

“You listen to me, Andrew King.” Nicki grabs his jaw, not hard but gentle, his face tipped enough to look directly into Nicki’s eyes. “Nothing about you is a disappointment.” One sentence, a million insecurities soothed.

Andrew is the “glue” of the family, the one who’s always taking care of everyone else while low-key feeling like he doesn’t quite fit in. Watching him struggle with that feeling of being “less than” compared to his brothers made me fall for him even more.

I loved how Lucky handles Andrew’s asexuality. It’s not just a plot point, it’s written by someone who really know what they are talking about. It’s one of those rare moments where you see a character’s needs laid out so clearly that you just get it, and I could relate with Andrew a whole lot. That hotel scene? Total gut punch in the best way possible.

And then we have Nicki. Yeah, he’s a total jerk to basically the entire world, but the way he just gets Andrew is top-tier. He’s the abrasive, “don’t touch me” type who somehow becomes the safest place for Andrew to just… breathe. Their whole fake-dating-to-lovers arc was chef’s kiss.

It’s a bittersweet ending for me for sure. I had to take a few breaks just to process all the feelings, but seeing Nicholas get folded into that big, messy family was the closure I didn’t know I needed. It’s a gorgeous end to a series that really knows how to pull at your heartstrings. I’ll definitely miss the King brothers.

Thank you, Lucky Hart for this free eARC. This is my honest review and recommendation.

I have no words.. 😭😭 I loved this so damn much. I have been waiting and waiting for Andrew’s story and my goodness, it was everything I was hoping for and more. I have never felt more seen in a book than I did when I read Andrew King. While I’m not autistic (I don’t think anyway..), I do 100% relate to being the older sibling, having to not cause any trouble or want help, not always wanting sex but wanting intimacy, etc. Seeing myself in so many parts of Andrew had me sobbing over and over again. I didn’t think any brother could top Jason - but then Andrew King entered the chat.

Andrew is the oldest King sibling and twin to Charlie. He’s autistic, ace, and likes his order and control. He will set himself on fire to keep someone else warm and he never wants to cause trouble for anyone else. Nicholas is a hockey player and a rich jerk in need of a fake boyfriend. He’s a prickly asshole and even though he goes into a fake relationship with Andrew he opens up - to Andrew and Andrew only and seeing him let down his walls was special. He’s still a prickly asshole to everyone other than Andrew, but seeing his softer side really made me love him.

Lucky did an incredible job in the writing in regard to the ace representation and the autism representation. You didn’t just read about Andrew’s emotions - you could really feel them. And you could feel Nicki’s inner turmoil struggling with not feeling good enough for Andrew and finally coming to terms with himself. I especially loved getting to see all of the King brothers and their partners. I will miss these boys terribly.
This was the perfect ending for the series.

What you’re getting: animosity to lovers | non-sexual intimacy | autism rep | ace rep | fake dating | caretaking | hurt x comfort | HEA | spice: 🌶️

I was so lucky to receive an ARC from a giveaway the author did on Instagram and was SO SO grateful as I could not wait a second longer for Andrew’s book!!

Andrew! Sweet baby Andrew! 🥹 He really deserves to be loved and cared for so much and it absolutely broke my heart how he’s pushed his own wants and needs aside for years - it really did take Nicholas coming in like a bulldozer into his life to allow someone to see what he constantly kept hidden!

For that Nicholas really was the perfect match for Andrew as he truly didn’t give a shit about anyone but Andrew by the end, and at the beginning didn’t allow Andrew to mask around him, making him the perfect person to see through the constant front he put up.

The caretaking in this book was absolute top tier as well and Nikki taking care of Andrew when he was sick was just perfection! I also loved how the book didn’t shy away from Andrew’s wants and needs and embraced them as a part of what made him up as a person.

While I don’t think anything could top the perfection that was Jason and Emmy, this book came so so close! The only part where I do feel like I have to suspend my disbelief is in the fact that Nikki as a former playboy and successful NHL player in his 20s, that he’d just be okay never having sex or being touched sexually ever again. While I understand it was to show that Andrew wasn’t “fixed” by Nicholas, it was hard to believe that Nicholas wouldn’t eventually want more than Andrew was able to give him.

I’m so sad the kinds of Heart series is coming to an end though and I can’t wait to read more of the authors work in the future!

One of my favourite reads of April was Seal the Deal by Lucky Hart, book 4 in the Kings of Heart series, following a family of brothers finding their partners. Since being introduced to the series I’ve eagerly awaited Andrew King’s story, and it did not disappoint.

The eldest brother - autistic and ace - Andrew has spent his life looking after his siblings (especially his twin brother). When asked by friends to fake date their cousin for a family event, Andrew devises a contract and plan to keep things between himself and Nicholas - a pro hockey player and full time grump - agreeable despite their initial animosity towards one another. But, as they spent time together, Nicholas begins to see beyond Andrew’s put-together front and recognises that while Andrew looks after everyone else, no one’s looking after Andrew.

When I say that this book spoke to me, I mean it wholeheartedly. Both the ASD and the ace rep (and subsequent burn out) hit a little too close to home at times and I definitely needed a few tissues handy. Andrews and Nicholas’ romance is hard won, and the discussions and negotiation around sex and intimacy were some of my favourite scenes because of the care taken with them. I love how their opposites attract set-up slowly transforms into both character being the ones who see beneath the others’ facade and how staunchly they defend each other.

I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy of the book so I can re-read and annotate it as soon as it arrives.

Thank you to the author for the review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own. A video review is available on my YT channel.

The final King of Hearts
I believe I'm not the only one, who's been desperately excited for wonderful Andrew's happy ever after, and I believe this was the perfect final to the series.

First of all, please make sure you got ice cream ready while reading this book, I had to go and get some.

Although they had the most difficult start, Andrew finds love in the most unlikely person
Nicholas sees Andrew and once he has his eyes on him, it's all he need.
And being seen is all Andrew ever needed.

Nicholas, the NHL playboy, from a difficult family background is just the perfect opposite to Andrew and they fit like puzzle pieces, they see each other at their worst and fall even deeper in love.

Lucky Hart's writing and depiction of neurodivergent characters is so wonderful and open, already with Emersin in an earlier book, but now Andrew and the way his brain just works a little different from other people's, it doesn't make the reader question his needs

I have so much love for Andrew, and the fact that he found his person who happily accommodated all of him

Andrew's struggles brought me to tears at several times while reading this book, he's surrounded by loved ones and still feels like he has to shoulder the world on his own

But then he and Nicholas are so perfect for each other, it brought me to happy tears

The caretaking goes both ways and is so heartwarming

And of course the King brothers all have an opinion, being the lovely messes that they are.

A perfect conclusion to a wonderful series
I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to review this book.

Safe to say I’ve never cried at a dedication before… but there’s a first time for everything.

I’ve been in love with this series, and the King men, for a long time now. Every book feels like it reaches into a different part of my soul and gently puts something back together. This one? It hit somewhere especially tender.

Andrew… he resonated with a part of me that just wants to be loved as I am, without having to soften or reshape myself for other people’s comfort. And then there’s Nicki. Closed-off, blunt, and yes, an asshole at times, but somehow exactly what Andrew needs. He’s steady, honest, and unwavering in the way he shows up. He doesn’t try to change Andrew or push him into something he’s not. He just accepts him. Fully. Openly. Without conditions.

And that’s what made this story hurt in the best way. I cried more often than not, because this isn’t just romance, it’s love without expectations. It’s intimacy in every sense of the word, not just physical. It’s about learning that your needs are valid, that your voice deserves to be heard, and that asking for what you want doesn’t have to come with fear of rejection.

This story felt like acceptance. Like belonging. Like being seen and valued exactly as you are. A reminder that there are people out there who feel like home.

It might not be for everyone, and that’s okay, but for me, it was everything.

5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I wasn't sure if I was getting this ARC or not, but when I realised I was, I started hopping and giggling like a schoolgirl. This series has my heart since I read book 1, and I thought nothing could top Charlie and Eden's story (they broke me and healed me in more ways than one), but GIRL, was I wrong!

I knew Andrew would hit close to home, since I have an autistic kid and I am neurodivergent myself. I have never read autism so well depicted in a character. The level of accuracy for all autistic-related issues made me cry more than once. My son cannot stand foods touching either and the way everything is described hit me hard.

The way Nicki goes above and beyond to accomodate Andrew's needs is heartwarming, because although it is what he deserves, no one else goes the extra mile for him while he does it for everyone else. The hockey game? I truly cannot. I spend half the chapter sobbing uncontrollably. And the epilogue? Nicholas finally finding a family? So precious.

The intimacy is so well written I felt like I was intruding in very special moments. The respect and adoration Nicki shows for each and every one of Andrew's needs is wonderful to read.

Thank you SO MUCH for this treasure. I am sure I will re-read the whole series soon, since I already miss my Kings.

100% recommended!
Happy reading! ❤️

.5/🌶️

I’ve been obsessed with getting into Andrew’s mind since book one of this series, and him being the final book was just perfect. The way lucky made me feel every thought and awkward moment he dealt with? Yes perfection considering I have no experience with autism and how it feels.

Nicholas?? That man i wanted to smack with a chair so many times. (How he first treated Andrew?? Unacceptable) But then I loved him dealt because he loved his man deeply and like no one ever has. He was known as a party boy, rebel, sleeps with anyone with legs. Horrible upbringing, so I don’t blame him for having walls and barriers.
But as he got to know Andrew, it showed that even big bad boys like Nicholas can change for the right person when they want to. That boy melted for his head scratches.

The dynamic between Nicki and his princess wasn’t something I could imagine would work, but then again; that’s the point. I adored their back and forth and how even though they didn’t get along they respected one another. How they just got the other, simply put. Everyone deserves someone who loves them like Nicki loved and understood and protected his Andrew.

I’m sad to see the Kings series end, I have a weird attachment to all of them and their stories but ending with Andrew just made my heart feel whole.

This is by far the best of the King Brother Series.

Did I think any brother could be sweeter than Jason? No, but I was wrong. While Jason is sweet in a larger than life way, Andrew is sweet in a quite, steady way that doesn't want to take up space.

There is a moment in this book that made me feel not only seen but also recognized. Andrew talks about how he never learned Spanish but Alec did and how he feels cheated. I felt seen as a person who never learned her grandparents native language and the struggle of learning as an adult another language. The way he describes being cheated was one where I felt like someone understands what that truly feels like.

Another moment that made me want to cry was when Andrew tells Nicholas that if he's not perfect then no one would want him. I wanted to cry when Nicholas tells him that he would still want him.

This is my favorite couple and story from this series. Both men were not socially perfect. Yes, Nicholas was hot, rich, and famous but he was a jerk. Andrew is a people pleaser to a fault. Together they are puzzle pieces that fit together, not to make them as individuals whole, but to help support one another together to make their lives one of peace.

✨ARC REVIEW✨

I was so lucky to receive an advanced readers copy of Seal the Deal and I am so thrilled to have read this. I started reading the Kings of Heart series a few months ago and I have been aching to read Andrew’s story. As a high masking autistic person, I felt so incredibly seen by Andrew.

Andrew who has been there for everyone deserved to finally be cherished, pampered, and loved, the way we all deserve. We all deserve a person who just wants to make us feel good.

Nicki starts off as a complete ass, yea okay. Who isn’t an ass when they’ve been emotionally abused and abandoned by the people who are supposed to love you. Nicki constantly refers to himself as selfish, but the way he treats Andrew is anything but. It is gentle, kind, worshipful.

Lucky Hart always hits it out of the park when it comes to intimacy, and don’t let the fact that Andrew is ace fool you. This book is ✨INTIMATE✨ but delicate and just so lovely.

The brother’s shenanigans are always a good time as well. I don’t know, I gotta go reread the whole series now or something. I’m not ready to say goodbye!

Please read this series! These men stick with you.

This is a honest ARC review !!
I am so emotional because this is the last book of this series ugh.
The first thing I have to mention is how BEAUTIFUL Andrew is. He is my favourite and he needs to be protected.
He is so caring with everyone but himself and I loved how Nicki, the grumpiest and rudest (a dick really), is the one that GETS Andrew in a way anyone has done before. He is determined to spoil Andrew and let him trully be himself.
Their dynamic is so precious, they are so different but that makes them to complement each other perfectly.
The intimacy in this book is so tender with so much care, the princess treatment that Andrew deserves.
Andrew’s autistic and asexual representation is so perfect and help us to understand how he feels in a way that is so real.
Eden my baby, so protective of Andrew and so supportive.
The found family in this series is amazing, especially for Nicki, who has been so lonely and with Andrew and his chaotic family founds one for himself that will support him no matter what.
If you like sweet and tender love, with so much gentle care and found family you need to read this series and this book !!!!

I was able to ARC read Seal the Deal by Lucky Hart, which is the series finale. Par for the course I always read the books out of order- I don't know how - but it always seems to happen, but in this case I think it was perfect. I fell for so many of the other characters, and cannot wait to go back and read their stories! Nicholas and Andrew however, were a great start for me. This book has some really unique things that I have not experienced in previous reads. The Ace representation was done very well. I kept thinking it would be dismissed later in the story, but it held all the way through. It was balanced however with so much intimacy and connection between our MMC's. Such care. The pet name Princess? LOVED IT. The story felt genuine and authentic. There were a few times the story got a little repetitive, but I understood it was to layer in a deeper understanding of the characters backstory and personality. This was written in a third person POV, which added some uniqueness to it for me as well. To make a Playboy Hockey player and an asexual accountant's relationship believable??? Great Job!

This book was such a bittersweet ending to The Kings of Hearts series. I’ve always been interested in Andrew’s storyline from book one. Him being everyone’s go-to person, being the reliable one of the siblings hit me real hard. It’s so relatable that it isn’t funny. Him being the one taking care of everyone else but nobody taking care of him was so heartbreaking. Only because of the massive walls he had erected, making everyone think he was doing fine being that person. The person that was afraid of being a burden. But Nicki saw past all of that and brought out the messy, uncontrolled side of Andrew, it was heartbreakingly tender. For Andrew to find himself letting go and not having to force himself to regulate was such a beautiful thing to read. Him finding his person in the midst of all of the chaos that is life was something he needed the most. And I’m so happy he found his forever person and to have been able to read their story. It was such an honor to read the final book to this wonderful series. If you love slow burn, protective MC, caretaking, ace rep, fake dating, and autistic rep then you will love this book.

Being the oldest of the King siblings, is not easy. Being on the tism spectrum is not easy, being ace is not easy, but Andrew shows it all with grace and a humbling beauty that draws you full in. Nicholas life has been both easy and not all at once, when he set up with Andrew to clean up his public image and appease the man he loves and hates all the same, he isn't prepared for all that comes with being a part of the King universe. These two do not start off on the right footing, but their 'relationship' forces both men to take down their walls and allow the other in. Nicholas may be a grumpy a hole but man when he falls, he falls hard and fully. The way he loves Andrew for all that he is and adjusts to fit both their lives was a beautiful development to witness. Thank you Lucky for showing an ace book where the person under the ace umbrella is full stopped accepted and sure they attempt more intimacy and once both see that's a no, they pivot and find something that truly works for both of them. Last but not least, good luck Nicholas with those Kings, you are now stuck in the fold and just accept and go along for the ride, they are amazing if not a little quirky family.

I loved this book immediately! I felt so similar to Andrew, at least in terms of his autism. He had some traits that felt like they had been pulled straight from my life. The accuracy was almost creepy but felt extremely affirming at the same time. I felt seen in a way that I hadn’t before. There’s a specific part about clothes in Chapter 7 that I swear I have at least thought if not verbally said. Andrew was treated with immense care and love in his creation. I was just as enamored with him as Nicholas was. This book had so many realistic and frustrating scenes. I wanted to fight Nicholas’ parents, they sucked! His dad had way too much audacity, considering how ridiculous his name is. Nicholas deserves so much better than his parents. The Jersey scene was amazing! I have to say I think Andrew is my favorite King brother. He was basically my favorite before but his book cemented his role as first place. I’m so glad we finally got his book and his book was the best possible way to end this series. I am so sad that the series is over!

Seal the Deal by Lucky Hart was a really refreshing, character-driven read, and I’m so glad I got to experience it as an ARC.

Andrew completely stood out to me — asexual, autistic, and so used to putting everyone else first that you can feel how carefully he moves through the world. His voice is distinct, structured, and deeply self-aware, and I loved how the book respects that instead of trying to “fix” it.

Nicholas, on the other hand, starts off exactly as promised: arrogant, emotionally closed off, and very used to getting his way. But what I really enjoyed is how quickly Andrew challenges that. For once, Nicholas can’t rely on charm or money, and that shift forces him to actually try.

The fake dating trope works especially well here because of how mismatched they seem at first.and how those differences slowly become something that fits.

Overall, the representation, character dynamics, and emotional growth made this a really satisfying read.

Andrew King how I love you. I have been waiting for Andrews book, I have been waiting for this man to get all the love that he deserves. Andrew and Nicholas are so far different you would think how could these two possible work? The way Nicholas surprised me with how his attitude on sex/relationships changed when meeting Andrew. Nicholas may be a complete ass but when it comes to Andrew his princess you best believe this man would bend hell and back to make sure he is happy, to know that he is loved for who he is completely that he is enough. Nicholas had me in all my feels watching him grow. Seeing Andrew being noticed and being someone's main priority made me so happy. I am so glad Andrew finally got someone to open his families eyes more to see that Andrew does need more even though he says he does not.

This was such a fantastic read, and a great end to the series. I will definitely miss the King men.
