Broadgate High: An Extreme Horror Novella

by Sam West

Not-so-fondly dubbed the Asylum by staff and students alike, Broadgate High School has a dark history. Once upon a time, over fifty years ago, the school was, in fact, a psychiatric institute, and rumours abound of its cruel past. The hushed whispers in the corridors attest to the evil atrocities that took place there.

Gwen Harper has just started her new job at Broadgate High. She will replace Katie Richards, the old Art teacher. Her predecessor is now a famous artist, dubbed The Doll Woman by the press, thanks to her time held captive by serial killer Mitch Carrington, the once-school-janitor of Broadgate High.

The school janitor may be dead, but his legacy lives on. His ghost is said to stalk the school, along with all the other evil souls that made this building their place of work at one time or another.

Historically, the building attracts evil – it is soaked into the very fabric of its architecture. Broadgate High is the stuff that urban legends are made of...

Evil begets evil, as the kind, sweet Gwen will find out on her first day of her new job.

This book contains scenes that some readers may find upsetting.

Broadgate High is a standalone novel. It is loosely connected to All The Pretty Dolls, but it is not a sequel.

This is not a horror book. It’s glorified sexual assault that’s ridiculous. But I guess classifying it has horror makes everything okay. Like this should not have been written. Makes me question something’s about the author 😅

Short yet involving

Limited on the horror however a good and interesting read. Graphic of course without too much. Well balanced against the story.

Nearly DNF’d this: I just couldn’t get behind the plot
