J.E. Ridge is a pen name for Jennifer Ridge to distinguish between Adult and Young Adult fiction. She has her Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University, and her Master's in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University. She wrote her first novel at twelve years old, which--along with several other projects--will probably never again see the light of day. Many of her earliest projects focused on LGBT+ couples and lately she's been revisiting her favorite tropes with a queer spin.

MM romance | Demon x Angel | Novella | 🐓 cage | Mild degradation | Exhibitionism | Pheromones | Bondage

Okay, I have to admit it felt way too short 😜. The moment I finished it, I immediately wanted more.

I really loved Az and Gabriel together. I adored Az’s personality—bold, curious, and at the same time a little naïve. I found it so endearing how he’s constantly questioning himself about things he’s supposed to already know when it comes to relationships.
And Gabriel? He’s honestly everything 🔥. Confident, intense, and with a presence you can feel in every scene.

I also loved that the author gave us an extra from Gabe’s point of view, especially about what he was thinking during their first very heated date 💦🔥. That bonus added so much to the story and only made me want more.

Please, I need more of them—and more of this world in general 🔥🔥✨.

📖 Divine Punishment — J.E. Ridge
Oh my God!
Did it really have to be this short?
I couldn’t get enough of this book!
My favorite part was the confrontation between the two opposing groups known since the creation of the world (angels and demons). And on top of that, having it be a super spicy MM story? It was literally a strawberry cake 🍰
I loved every single second of this book.
And I have to say, I loved Az and his goofy moments just a little bit more.
I really wish the book had been longer. I finished it with that feeling of “I wish I could have read this for a much longer time.”
And I absolutely loved it.

I dont know what Ridge puts in these novellas, but whatever it is I am obsessed and just want more and more forever. This one had my favorite type of character, the clueless first contact. I LOVED Az. He's the best and the sweetest little sex demon who must be protected at all costs. Luckily, Gabriel is MORE than up for the job (and you can just tell he will take out anyone who looks at Az even slightly funny). In just a little over 100 pages, a lot which is sex (whether intentional or not), Ridge has completely captivated me and given me characters that I am so obsessed with. Plus I loved seeing The Trees again. Every word on every page was just perfection.

“I’m a goddamned demon. I’m not going to let one angel bully me into submission.”- Famous last words

Divine Punishment is 100-page spicy novella full of kinky punishments, magic chastity cages and a very horny demon. Loved every page and all the innovative ways that one could use divine punishment to control a lust demon with.

Off to read book one the Vessel and can’t wait to see what other kinky idea J.E. Ridge thinks of next.

Thanks to the author for sending me an ARC for this novella!

This was just a fun, shorter story filled to the brim with lots and lots of spice between an angel and a demon and I can never say no to some good monster smut tbh.

i love Az and Gabe and I kind of want to see more of their... activities (🤭😏) and it was also very fun to see Nate and Damien again.

plus i have to say im very glad that Forest got a more permanent roommate i don't want them to be alone 😔 i love Forest and I feel a little bit sorry for what they have to put up with lmao
