You know what? I actually loved this.
Despite really needing to be edited, the story and characters were great.
I struggled quite a bit at first, with some of the wording and flow of sentences, but it improved. There were still some hicups and a few times that the wrong MMCs name was used, but I didn't even care, I was just enjoying it too much.
Oh, and this was only my second book with monster/shifter peen (not including Alpha knots, of course), and ooh, I liked it.

I already knew going into this that I was probably going to enjoy it because I’ll read pretty much anything this author puts out—and yeah, this did not disappoint.
This was such a fun, slightly chaotic read with a really unique twist.
Snake shifters?? I don’t see that nearly enough, and I loved the way it added something different to the story. It made everything feel a little more interesting right from the start.
The setup is messy in the best way—one night, bad decisions, emotions running high… and then suddenly there are consequences. I love when a story leans into that kind of chaos and just runs with it.
Tripp and Dray worked really well together. There’s that instant pull between them, but also a lot of hesitation and figuring things out, which kept it from feeling too easy. I liked that neither of them had everything together right away—it made their connection feel more real.
The fated element tied in with the tattoo was such a cool detail too. It gave the story something a little extra without overcomplicating things, and I always love when fate shows up in unexpected ways like that.
This is definitely more of a quick, easy read, but it still had enough emotion and conflict to keep me invested the whole time. It didn’t try to be overly heavy, which worked for the pacing and vibe.
If anything, I would’ve taken more of these two. I liked them enough that I wouldn’t have minded a little extra time to see everything play out even more.
Overall, this was just a really enjoyable read, and exactly what I’ve come to expect from this author.

4.5 stars something special
I’ve got to say, I found this a really sweet read. We’ve got two snake shifters both struggling on one night that they got together in a club that left Dray pregnant, and Tripp left with a memory of a man with tattoos. You see Tripp was out drowning his sorrows after finding his fiancée in bed with another man so he was drinking quite heavily but he felt a connection as soon as the omega walked into him. Dray thought the man was a human and it wasn’t until they were busy that he realised two things one he had gone into heat and two he wasn’t human.
So imagine Dray’s surprise when he comes in for a tattoo. And in his hand is a token, a token for a machine that will guide him to his mate. And what do you think that had tattoo was off?
This is such a special Read. You have got Tripp who is searching for the Omega from the Club but had also started to have feelings about the tattooist. He wanted to be there for him and the Baby even when he thought he wasn’t the father but when would they both realise the two of them are from that night???
In a way this book is a slow burn but in that burn we see the connection we see the chemistry and it’s just I keep saying beautiful but it really really is just a brilliant Read. I must admit I’ve really enjoyed this theme about the tattoo machine that shows you your mate. And I hope there’s more books out there that I can read.

This book is part of the multi-author Love Sync Ink series. Each book is a standalone read and features a different couple. This is the story of Tripp and Draymar. While both are snake shifters, Tripp is an alpha rattlesnake and Dray is an omega Indigo snake. Tripp was drowning his sorrows at a club after finding his fiancé with another man. The two meet as a one night stand. This unexpectedly results in Dray becoming pregnant. The real shock comes when Tripp walks into the tattoo parlor with a token that will show him a design to help him find his fated mate. Shockingly, it reveals Dray. While the two of them were initially drawn to each other, Tripp wasn't willing to let fate make the decision for him. He was still thinking about the omega from the club that one night. Both of them not realizing that they are the couple from the club. This is their story. The book is written well and is easy to read. I enjoyed the fact that they are both snake shifters as I haven't read many books about those types of shifters. As well, they both had a few bumps along the road to solve before they can have a their own HEA. I enjoyed this book.

This is book 4 in the multi-author series Love Sync Ink by Lilo Quie. This is the fourth book in the series I've read and when I saw it pop up on booksprout I had to have it. I'm still upset because I missed out on book 1 since I didn't act fast enough and all copies were claimed. I still plan to read the first one released since this series is such fun.
The dedication at the front of the book was everything:
"This one goes out to all the one-night stands I missed out on by staying home with a good book. Wouldn’t change a thing."
This was a quick fun read at 113 pages. Leave it to this author to have such a mixed bag of shifter types. Snakes, and bears, and cats, and dragons, and iguanas, and geckos, oh my! I always learn new and interesting things with this author's books.

Cute story of a one-stall stand in a shifter nightclub between two snake shifters who never got names, but meet again months later when rattlesnake shifter Tripp gets a mysterious token for a tattoo that will change his life. Drey is the tattooist and the picture to come from the token machine is one of his, one he doesn’t remember ever putting into the machine. Drey is an indigo snake and he is four moths pregnant from that night at the bar. Little do they realize the machine has struck again, matching the tattoo to its mate. It takes awhile for the realization to set in, but once it does, they are on their way to their future and family.
The story is one from an author collaboration about a tattoo parlor with a machine which dispenses the tattoo that will match to the client’s fated mate. Snakes aren’t my favorite characters, shifters or not, but a cute story anyway for a short read.

Great snake story. We don't get snake shifters very much, but it was perfect for these two. One night letting inhibitions down and now they're walking on egg-shells around eachother. Loved that they still feel the connection even though they don't quite understand it. Dray isn't gonna trust the machine - nope, nuha! Tripp is convinced he shouldn't feel drawn to Dray when he's still thinking about the Omega with the scales... if he only knew! Loved the slow burn of this story, the communication and the parents. All 3 parents were a trip, especially Dray's. Gotta love 'em! If you enjoy light hearted bonding with heat, this is a perfect read. I've real this whole series and they're all superb. Each a standalone, buy ink related.

I really enjoyed this book about Tripp who is a rattlesnake shifter and walks in on his fiancé with another man, so he kicks her out and then goes and drinks away his sorrows. Does he know when he’s out and about he meets his true mate. Dray is an omega Indigo snake shifter, he goes out to a nightclub with his friend and has one nightstand, but is upset when he’s alpha disappears forward in a couple of months. He discovers his pregnant and is prepared to raise the baby on his own. That is Tripp comes to his tattoo parlour and Celexa HEA tattoo and of course it is his design. I enjoyed the storyline and how they both discovered that they were meant to be together and that the baby is Tripps. There’s a lot involved in the story but eventually they have a happily ever after.

Fun and delightful! Tripp, walks in and catches his fiance in bed with another man. He ends the relationship and goes out to drown his sorrows. He meets a man to whom he's instantly attracted, is smitten and has an one nighter, which he never really forgets. Draymar, is out one night gets very drunk, has a one nighter never thinking it's with an alpha whom he avoids for meny reasons. He ends up single and pregnant fulfilling an unwelcome family traditoin. They meet again when Tripp is getting a tattoo, from Draymar who is obviousy pregnant. They are attracted and tiptoe around what may be complications. Intriguing, happy, sad, funny sweet story of expectations unmet and exceeded. First, I absolutely loved the dedication at the front of the book. Second, next to elephants, snakes are my favorite, and this is my first-ever snake shifter book. I love Dray and Tripp. But there is a quote from the book that had me cracking up when Tripp was first getting ready for the tattoo.
Is it going to hurt?" Trip met Dray's eyes, genuine worry in his expression. "Isn't that the point? Nobody gets a tattoo because they feel good... Unless it's a woman. What the f%$k is up with that? Gals sleep during it."
I need to know if the author is speaking from experience because I have a lot of tattoos and I always fall asleep while getting them. Which is funny because I have no pain tolerance. This was an amazing book I would definitely recommend it I hope there's going to be more.

Tripp came home to his fiancée in bed with someone so they were told to get out then went out to get drunk where he messed around tDray. Tripp got sick so Dray just left and found he was pregnant but they hadn’t exchanged numbers or names so Dray didn’t know how to contact Tripp. One night the dragon bartender gave him a coin for the machine at a tattoo shop so he did that and out came a drawing of Dray’s snake. So Dray put it on Tripp’s chest and agreed on a date Tripp didn’t like that the guy that Dray pregnant left. So they went and ate. They had to scan their wristbands under a blacklight, when Tripp saw Dray’s scales he knew he was the person that had Dray had been with. They talked about everything and understood what had happened.

From the moment of the hot drunken bathroom hook up between Dray and Tripp and both of them can't stop thinking about the other, but no clue how to find the other. Dray has a forever memory from it. I love it that Dray has such great friends who back him up and take care of him.
I was waiting for them to figure out and especially Tripp to figure who Dray really was to him when they came together for a tattoo. Tripp is to cute how he instantly has feelings for Dray and how he tries to be respectful and take care of him at the same time. While Dray is surprised that an alpha is into him under his conditions.

My third book in this multi-author series. This author is new to me. For me it was a little more difficult to read then the first two books in this series , but I liked the story. I find the thought of snake shifters very cool and I loved the idea of scale tattoos that you only see in special light. Dray and Tripp is a very sweet couple and I liked the other characters to.
This is a fun read and I'm in love with this series and I can't get enough of it. So if you want something shorter, entertaining and a sweet fated mate read this is it.

OMG...this one in the series was interesting. Shifter romances I read are not normally snakes so this got me intrigue and I enjoyed it. Tripp and Draymar met once in a heated moment and then reconnected unknowing awhile later in a tattoo session. That took the wind out my sails for a bit with the confusion until clues started arising and everything just clicked into place. Fate really took place for this couple and their HEA was very nice.

I loved it and I loved it some more!! Fate certainly knew what it was doing bringing Tripp and Dray together. A token gift from a dragon with an inkling to the rather handy little gumball type machine that brings mates together with a tattoo. It's not a straight path and it has some hiccup moments but it's a sweet romance. Well written with wonderful characters including the secondary characters who all add to the whole feeling of sweet. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Lilo Quie writes some of my favorite shifter stories and this one does not disappoint. I haven’t read any books that stared snake shifters before, but this one was a lot of fun to read. A Sweet Story - Became Invested
This was a sweet story and too short for me. I wanted more and wasn't ready to get to the last page. There are so many supporting characters that I want to get their own story and I definitely want to know more about the dragon and his mates. Very interesting story and looking forward to what this author writes next.

What started as a one night stand turned into so much more.
Tripp walks in on his fiance and gets drunk while out and doesn't remember a whole lot other than some tattoos.
Draymar is an omega and ends up pregnant from his one night stand.
As fate would have it they find each other. This is a really sweet read. I truly enjoyed it.

Their first encounter resulted in pregnancy. Tripp getting his first tattoo leads to them meeting again and falling in love. I really liked the explanations of the snake cultures and their delivery. It was a very enjoyable story.

Blackest Ink is part of the multi-author Love Sync Ink series and can be read as a standalone. This is a fated mates story with a lot of twists and turns. Tripp feels drawn to the omega he had a one night stand with and feels guilty for wanting Dray, Dray isn't trusting that an alpha could want him in his condition, so there is a lot of back and fourth in this slow burn story.

Great story

This was an entertaining story to read. I appreciated the second chance nature of the story and that Draymar and Tripp got their happily ever after in the end.

So good!!! I love this whole series. Both Tripp and Draymar were great characters and thanks to fate who helps them along they are able to find each other. Their journey from a one night stand to family is sweet and fun. This short story is worth reading.

This is a cute, romantic story. the two main characters, Tripp and Dray, are snake shifters who are strong and caring. Tripp knows they belong together, but he knows he has to take it slow with Dray to get him to trust him. I really enjoyed this book.

I absolutely loved the variety shifters in this one. It just made it all fresh and fun. There was a hookup, and of course tattoos. But my favorite part was that there are meggs!!!
