Voyeur Moon #2

Fallon's Capture

Rate this book
The last thing Fallon Myers remembers before waking up as a prisoner was walking home from her favorite bodega. Now, she’s being forced to participate in sex shows for the crowds on Voyeur Moon, along with two political prisoners.

Cord and Arlo have been fighting against the extreme faction of Tyranns who now control Voyeur Moon, and who built the infamous Zoo, for years. The charges against them are bogus, but their growing love for Fallon is real.

The three can’t see or hear the crowds who pay to watch them have rough sex, but the shows take an emotional toll on all of them.

When an opportunity to escape arises, the men face a difficult choice. If they leave Fallon behind, the Tyranns will simply place two new prisoners in her quarters. But if they take her along, all three could lose their lives.

“Fallon’s Capture” is the second installment of Ravenna Tate’s very promising “Voyeur Moon” series, and it’s a doozie! I really enjoyed the first book, so I was very excited to dive into this one, and I wasn’t disappointed.

Without giving too much away, I’ll tell you that there is an extremist group of Tyranns (an alien race) who kidnap earth women to use as sex slaves. Some of these women wind up in the “Zoo” where they are put on display performing sex acts for groups of paying customers who expect these “performances” to be rough and painful. Genuinely horrifying fates await anyone who refuse. This is the situation our heroine, Fallon, finds herself in. Cord and Arlo are “criminals” who have gone against the Tyrann rule, and rather than the death penalty, they are thrust into a residence that is wired for sound where their every word or movement is monitored.

None of this is the perfect set up for a loving relationship between Fallon, Cord, and Arlo, but they discover each other through more adversity than most people could ever handle. The forming of this triad is rather quick, but it has to be. They need each other to get through the fear that they face as the hours until their “performance” tick away. Clinging to each other is about all they can do unless they can find a way to escape. They can draw on each other’s strength to keep them from completely breaking down.

The first time that the three are together sexually is…well, words fail me. It’s hot and tender at the same time. The amount of BDSM in the scene is perfect. They’re all kinky, but they’re sort of feeling each other out. Mostly, Cord and Arlo are trying to gauge Fallon’s experience and tolerance…which is surprisingly high. This comes in handy for their first public appearance. I have to say that the amout of BDSM in “Fallon’s Capture” is a bit more intense than I’m used to. That isn’t a bad thing, by any means. I’ve read a lot of what I consider to be “BDSM Lite”…a little spanking, a little flogging, maybe some paddling, but here we have some power behind the swings. There are restraints, stiff floggers, a wooden paddle with holes, a metal paddle, and some other implements of pleasure/pain. There is also some language that is a little rougher than usual, but keep in mind, the three of them are putting on a show, and Ms. Tate makes it abundantly clear that Fallon is enjoying every moment of it, even though she has to pretend not to.

All of the hot sex aside, “Fallon’s Capture” is giving us a little more insight into the continuing story of the series. There are some VERY bad people out there, and a growing resistance to that evil. I’m extremely impressed. The “Voyeur Moon” stories are an intresting and unique take on the BDSM Menage genre. You can read this one as a stand alone novel, but I do recommend that you read the first story, “Kidnapped By A Warrior” to get a real grasp on what the will be going on in the world that Ravenna Tate is creating. Five stars for this one!

As I've said before, Ravenna Tate is another "must buy" author for me. She writes under two other pen names and in several different genres. I love all her books regardless of the name used or genre. Fallon's Capture is the second in the Voyeur Moon series. As with the first book, I flew through this book in one sitting and absolutely adored it!

This is the story of Fallon Myers, an Earth woman who had been shopping in a bodega in New York City. She went outside when a stranger stepped in front of her and jabbed her with a needle. The next thing she knew, she was trapped in a prison with a real warden. She had no memory of how she got there, where she was, and is terrified of the intentions of her jailors. All she's told is that the Section Warden "will explain everything." The prison, an apartment of sorts, appears to be well-stocked and quite a bit larger than her apartment. But none of that matters. She only wants to know where she is, how she got there, and what the hell they're going to do with her!

She soon finds out that her nightmare is about to become pure terror as two men are brought into the "cell" and left alone with her. Granted, they're GORGEOUS men, but still, who are they and why are they there? What do they want with her? Soon Section Warden Walton shows up, separates Fallon from the two men, and takes her to a separate room to "explain the rules." He tells her she's had a great honor bestowed upon her. She's been selected by the Voyeur Moon Zoo Retrieval Team. Voyeur Moon? The invaders who had taken over Earth more than 18 months ago? A zoo? What kind of zoo? And why is this an honor? As Walton explains, much to Fallon's dismay, the Zoo is a high-priced attraction for the Tyrann men of Voyeur Moon. She and her two new roommates are to be performers for visitors paying a very steep price to view their performances. But what talents does Fallon have that could draw high-paying viewers to any zoo? To her utter horror, Walton blandly explains she's expected to perform sexually, with BOTH men, total strangers. She's given 48 hours to become acquainted with the men before their first performance. There's even a written list of rules the three must follow for their performances behind a one-way window. The spectators can see and hear their performances but they, as the performers, can't see or hear anything outside their room. This is beyond horrible. This is true depravity and evil, and Fallon can't believe this is real. She has to be having a nightmare. Surely she'll wake up any minute and be back in New York City, all this a bad dream.

Unfortunately, it's all too real. Returning her to her original "cell," she finally meets the two men, Arlo and Cord. They're also prisoners, but not from Earth. They're from Sera and Addo (the other two habitable planets in the Alpha Centauri system), and they've been convicted of crimes complete with a death sentence. It doesn't matter that they're innocent. They don't have the money or connections for lawyers or bribes. Their only alternative to the death sentence is to serve as members of the Zoo, having sex in front of paying customers with an Earth woman they've never met before. The nightmare just keeps getting worse. Just how are three strangers supposed to put on an act, convincing paying customers who are watching what they believe to be the men raping, beating, abusing the woman without actually doing just that? The thought is totally repugnant to Arlo and Cord. Not only are they innocent of the crimes of which they've been convicted but they are decent men, disgusted by the very idea of forcing any woman to have sex with them. And both of them at once? But both men are struck not only by Fallon's physical beauty but her bravery and tenacity. They have just 48 hours to figure it out. Because if they don't figure it out and put on one hell of a performance, they will be separated. Fallon will be sent to the holding cells to wait with other Earth females for selection by Tyrann men, being passed among them for indiscriminate sexual use. As for Arlo and Cord? They'll be paired with female after female until they find one who will satisfy the sick and twisted desires of the paying customers. It's a no-win situation for all three. What are they going to do? They're behind locked doors, surrounded everywhere by armed guards, with Walton and his goons only too willing to take advantage of Fallon or any female who doesn't follow the rules.

The next 48 hours hold emotions of every kind for all three...fear, distrust, anger, hatred, sheer and utter terror, the beginnings of trust and friendship, perhaps even more. But the ever present specter of their "performance" overshadows everything. What are they going to do? How are they supposed to have sex when they barely know each other? Every second, every minute, every hour brings them closer to the very real possibility that Fallon with be sent to the holding cells with the men in for a seemingly eternal life of torture. They're decent men. They're innocent of the crimes they've been convicted of. What are they going to do? How will they ever survive this?

Ravenna Tate once again proves her excellence at weaving a story that is terrifyingly realistic yet filled with genuine characters, true emotions, and a totally believable environment. As with the first book in this series, Fallon's Capture is a fast-paced sci-fi/thriller/romance that will keep you glued to the pages of the book from the first to the last page. It's rare for an author to excel at more than one genre but Ravenna Tate does that with such apparent effortlessness that you know she's a true master of her craft. I was extremely impressed by the details of the emotions, characters, environment, and the intertwining stories of the characters in Fallon's Capture.

One final comment. This is a very ADULT book. Its content is extremely dark in places. It contains strong language, explicit sexual scenes, and suggestions of nonconsensual sex. If you don't enjoy erotic romance with these elements, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There's always a synopsis on any bookseller's website, as well as reviews on Goodreads and the websites of all booksellers who sell the book. PLEASE use these resources so you're sure the book you're buying is what you want to read. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide her readers with quality work. If you know before you buy any book that you'll object to its subject matter, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice. But if you enjoy an exciting mix of paranormal, sci-fi, romance, and thriller elements with amazing characters and storylines, I highly recommend Fallon's Capture. It's an amazing book and I give it my highest recommendation without reservation!

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

This story was very different from anything I've read before. The story line took place over WEEKS (not two days like one reviewer said - did you even read the book???) and the first time Fallon and her men had to have sex in front of the crowd she was a wreck. So were they. But she was being threatened with something worse than the zoo she'd been sent to so they all knew they had to do this to save her life. The sex scenes were really, really HOT but their love grew out of that. Sometimes people's love grows out of extreme circumstances and I found this very believable. And just because one person couldn't do this doesn't mean the heroine can't. Geez. We're all different. I love this entire series because it's different than most sci-fi romance out there. I hope to see more from this author. She's very talented.

A new to me author, a quick easy story to read. I do love Sci Fi and menage so it works.
I ran cold and hot with this one, I mostly liked it. It is book 2 but I don’t feel that it couldn’t be read as a stand alone.
Fallon a woman basically kidnapped to be given to two alien males. Earth as she has known it is no longer, the invasion was swift and complete.
Cord and Arlo we’d call them resistance fighters both in a different capacity, and the aliens in charge consider both men dangerous and criminals, what better way to find out more information than put a “spy” (for loss of a better word) in their midst. Fallon is told this... Will she willingly play along? Especially after her warden tells her the males true crimes.
The trio connected pretty fast, even with its length it just seemed rushed and not enough meat to it. The heat was pretty hot, again I do love menage. So it worked for me.
I recommend it, because its a good little sci fi read. I did enjoy it and sure you will also.

The Romance Review

Earth girls are horny sluts waiting to spread their legs for alien masters. This is what the Tyranns aliens believe, which is why they steal female human for their carnal pleasure. Where do I find my horny slut to abuse?

Fallon Myers is in the at-risk age group. She is ripe for the raping as she's the right age, cute and makes the mistake of walking by herself exposed in New York. When she wakes up, she is off world and forced to exhibit her body for the voyeuristic pleasures of the sexually crazed Tyranns. Her fellow inmates are Cord and Arlo. These two male aliens are fighting against the Tyranns who are trying to destroy the alien culture.

The premise of this world is interesting. There are two main alien factions showcasing the extremes. One is the sexually repressed Regum. The other is the recently sexually liberated Tyranns. One would think the Tyranns would be more progressive. Not so. They are asshats tyrants similar to their name. They are a patriarchal society focused on warfare, classism and degradation. This set up could have made the story go two different ways. It could be spank bank worthy non-con or it could be erotic kinky romance. For those hoping for "me-time", this is not the book for you.

Fallon is lucky enough to be trapped with two sexy hawt aliens, Cord and Arlo. The threesome get it on and do the nasty in front of perverted aliens. The sex is kinky with bondage, rough sex, double penetration and exhibitionism. The aliens other than Cord and Arlo are losers. Seriously, the Tyranns come across as bratty teenage boys who have suddenly realized they have a dick to play with. The Regum are snotty holier than thou idiots. These simplistic villains, familiar alien capture trope and easy to underdog rebels make for an easy read.

There are no surprises in the plot. The conflict is resolved after a bit of a buildup. What made this book enjoyable is the sex. Yes, this reviewer can be bribed with decent sex. Keep it coming. This erotic romance is recommended for ménage lovers who enjoy a bit of rough sex.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I grabbed Fallon’s Capture by Ravenna Tate because the blurb really caught my attention. I was intrigued by the idea of a trio being forced to participate in sex shows and if love could happen in such a situation. While the book nailed the sexual aspect of their relationship, I never really bought the instant love and connection that the trio seemed to have.

Fallon’s Capture started off with suspense and mystery as Fallon was captured on Earth and brought to Voyeur Moon. Her fear about what would happen to her was believable and completely understandable. When she discovered what was planned for her, I found myself cringing along with her and wondered how she was going to be able to perform in these circumstances. Cord and Arlo helped by being sweet and caring to her and their sexiness could only help. However, I never really could accept that she was able to sexually perform in front of an audience and completely lose awareness of their existence.

Ms. Tate wrote amazing sexual, passionate scenes that raised my temperature. The heat between the three was off the charts and this part of the story I did believe. However, if I couldn’t forget that this was forced sex and that people were paying to watch them, then I don’t know how Fallon did. I also had a difficult time accepting that two men who did not know each other before could suddenly participate in a ménage because of their concern about Fallon. It just didn’t ring true for me for all of this to happen in basically a two day period.

It’s a bit of shame that this part of the story didn’t work for me because everything else did. I liked the creativity and originality behind the story. I liked each characters’ back story even though Ms. Tate only briefly touched on it. The dialogue flowed naturally and I could easily picture their conversations. And as I stated, the sex was hot. But I needed more believable emotional connection before I can give Fallon’s Capture a higher rating.

This is the second book in the Voyeur moon series. I find it just as good as the first book. For me it was a great fast read. I couldn't put it down, i read it in one sitting. Can't wait to read the next.
