When Liz Archer is good she’s really good. This isn’t one of those. At first Bella has no personality, no magnetism, nothing to explain his fascination with her. Then it turns out she’s also an idiot incapable of understanding the danger they’re in. Not for me.

Mile High Secret Baby: An Age Gap, Bratva Romance by Liz Archer is a steamy, heart-pounding ride that’s both thrilling and tender — a solid 4-star read for lovers of intense romance with a surprising emotional core.
From the moment our heroine Bella (or Dove, in some earlier reviews of similar Liz Archer works) bumps into the irresistibly dangerous Aleksander Antonov in first class, you know this story is going to be anything but ordinary. Their chemistry is sizzling, the age gap and Bratva backdrop add serious tension, and then — plot twist — she’s sitting there with his daughter beside her. Yep, that cringe-worthy yet addictive trope of secret babies gets a blazing, bratva-style spin here.
What I liked most was how unpredictable the story feels at times. Betrayals hit hard, the villain rival is delightfully unhinged (in that “can’t look away from the disaster” way), and the emotional stakes — especially when Aleksander learns the truth — had me turning pages well past my bedtime. The blend of action, danger, heat, and romance kept the story engaging from lift-off to landing.
On the flip side, the pacing can feel a bit overcrowded — there’s so much going on that a few spicy scenes landed at odd moments and might pull you out of the tension rather than drive it forward. Some character beats (like Aleksander’s reactions to fatherhood) unfold quickly without as much depth as they deserve, and a few plot conveniences strained believability.
Liz Archer’s writing style here is unapologetically bold and rich in emotion — she doesn’t shy away from drama, and readers who enjoy that will be rewarded. However, the transitions between high-octane twists and tender moments could be smoother, and a more grounded rhythm might have amplified the impact of key scenes.
Overall, Mile High Secret Baby is an addictive, spicy, and satisfying age-gap romance with a thrilling Bratva edge. It’s not perfect, but it is fun, emotional, and delivers a happily-ever-after that feels earned. Good for fans of incendiary chemistry, intense stakes, and secret-baby tropes that keep you guessing.

While this was a very good book the plot was somewhat confusing regarding a few of the characters, their behaviours, motivation which changed near the end completely making little sense. There also was no satisfactory conclusion to the story which kind of leaves u hanging on what was gonna happen next rather like the book wasn’t finished. Leaves the reader feeling unsatisfied.
Isabella means aleksander 4 yrs ago at a party where they have a 2 day fling then after a weird warning from a stranger she runs and disappears. Later finding out she’s pregnant she hides moving frequently to protect herself and her child. However fate or machinations by his mother irina land then in the same airport where alek ensures she’s in first class beside him so he can talk to her. They end up having a tryst in the bathroom then something happens on the plane. Akers is determined to keep her this time and knows she’ll need his protection by Bella doesn’t know about his bratva world. When she finds out after a terrifying event she runs again trying to disappear but this time his enemies find and take her.he must rescue her and get her to understand her meaning to him for the last 4 yrs then he discovers lily is his child and that only increases his belief they are meant to be together and only he can protect her but traitors are watching and no one is safe to trust.
A complex and convoluted plot with twists and drama.

Bella & Aleksander: a breathtaking rollercoaster!

This was a captivating rollercoaster of a story I thoroughly enjoyed. Full of action, danger, revelations, betrayals – you name it, it was there! I loved Bella and Aleksander so much! Each one has their own qualities, but one constant for both of them is their need to protect those who matter the most at all cost. The story starts when Aleksander bumps into Bella at Charles de Gaulle airport by chance and memories flood of their amazing night together. So, he follows discretely and makes sure they are in the same flight. His shock is even greater when he realizes there is a small girl with her. Could it be? A rollercoaster begins already during the flight – events that had me sitting at the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put the book down and there were many times that I had to double check what I was reading because it was breathtaking! Could Aleksander and Bella find their HEA amidst everything? 5 stars.

This was a very intense book and intriguing right from the very first page to the last. It was a little much at times but it was the storyline. The main characters were so opposite but they made sense together. I would say that there were a few spicy scenes that I don’t think maybe should have happened at that time in the story but hey it was still a good read. The betrayal oh my goodness read as a novella I could not believe how unhinged the main male character rival was and the relation to him! And the plot twist at the end was like I had a funny feeling it could be that person but I didn’t want that to be true but it was! There was so much going on in this whole story but it was well worth the read. I would recommend this book if you’re looking for something, intriguing, interesting, thrilling, spicy and romantic all at once. Just know that there is lots of mature content in this book.

One night stands have consequences and Bella’s experiencing the repercussions of one here. 4 years after spending a night with Alexander, their paths cross…and chaos ensues.

There’s stress from other crime families, hot sex, literally love on the run. The story moves along quickly, especially as the author utilizes dual POV.

The characters fleshed out more as the story developed but I sometimes felt lost in settings, like I wasn’t sure exactly how characters got where they were. Lily also was written to sound like a much younger child- 3+ year olds are learning colors and the alphabet and numbers and this character barely said two word sentences.

I would pick up other books from this series to see how the author continues her world and character development.

So many twists for this romance

This book has so many twists and obstacles preventing our couple from being together. There is violence, murder, and kidnapping as part of the storyline, FYI. Aleksander is in the midst of a deal in Russia that went all wrong during negotiations without reason, so suspicious. He is trying to brainstorm ideas but with little. Next at the airport in France, Bella runs into Aleksander by accident. He has not seen her in years, but Bella is The One that got away. Aleksander wants Bella but how can he bring her into his dangerous world plus keep her safe. There are some parts of the story where you will have to suspend reality. There is a happy ending. Read On!

It was okay, I felt the book was too rushed and too many plot twists out of no where. Lots of gaps. Characters appearing out of no where while they hold grudges/ lack of clarity and character development/ building. No in-depth. Like ‘oh she’s my daughter?’ Ah okay. Like no questions asked???? Or he will let her go like with no fucking fight? WHAT?! Uhmmm helloooo… you are meant to be obsessed and possessive where you never want to let her go regardless. You are meant to say you will do anything to keep her and your child safe not try to ship them out of your life like if that has worked well for ya recently 😭 I really do feel like the plot and characters had potential but it needed to be better explored and written. Anyways, it’s a quick read.

Bella gets on a plane with her young daughter Lily. Her seat has surprisingly been upgraded and mysteriously Lily's father (Aleksander) is seated next to her. Bella left after one night four years before and Aleksander is unaware Lily is his child. There is a murder on the plane and Aleksander protectively gets them off the plane. Danger follows them, Bella escapes with Lily. Will Aleksander find them? Will he find out Lily is his? This captivating Bratva story is steamy with secrets and surprises.

Well, this story has all the unexpected twists you could want. Overall, it’s a good story but I did have a couple of issues with it. The daughter seems to be more of a placeholder than a character, most of the time she is asleep. Also, Aleksander never loses it over her. He thinks he can’t have kids and boom, it’s my daughter no big deal. It is well written with interesting characters. There’s good steam just not always appropriate. Who has steam in the middle of a rescue? I did enjoy reading the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The plot of this book is captivating from beginning to end. Aleksander is a powerful and strong member of the Bratva. He met Bella, and they spent a few passionate days together, after which she disappeared, but the memories always remained. Years later, fate brought them together again on a flight, where, in addition to rekindling their feelings for each other, a danger arose that threatened not only Bella but also the daughter Aleksander didn't know he had. Now he had to do everything to keep them safe.

Definitely a story that I emoted sinking my teeth into. The story of Bella, Aleksander, and Lily took a lot of turns early in the story.

There were times where I was doing the equivalent of yelling at the screen and other times where the story was heartwarming and I had a lot of hope. It’s a bratva story so there are some of the typical tropes, but overall it’s two people finding their way back to each other despite their pasts lives.

Murder in Flight

When Bella and Aleksander are reunited on a commercial flight he doesn't expect to see her with a child. The chemistry between these two is off-the-charts but the situation gets complicated when a passenger is murdered on flight. The excitement and suspense ramped up throughout each chapter. Sectets, betrayals and unexpected allies add some thrill to this read. I could not put it down.

This story has a fine storyline and the characters are well written. The plots are good and the villain is a surprise.
For some reason I am not a fan of mobster stories in general but something about this one told me to read it. Despite me not liking these in general I have to give this story beautiful four stars because of how it is written.

Good age gap book

This book had it all, spice, danger, family. However, I took issue with the writing of the 3 year old. It felt like she was just a write off. Sometimes the continuity of things didnt feel correct. Someone awake then asleep. Someone taking a shirt off then its on?
Otherwise it was a great book. Mild spice, sometimes felt weird, but good. The writing overall is great. I would recomend it if you like mafia and romance.

A bit convoluted

They met on a plane. 4 years later they met on a plane again, but this time there is a dead body as well. Enter a rogue stewardess, a bitter friend, a subnormal mother and everything turns to …….. There was also the relationship that grew and grew giving us a happy ending.

She never thought she would see him again and yet here they are. He never stopped looking for her. She doesn't want anyone to know who the father of her child is. Now here they are with trouble knocking down their door. The things they go thru and the betrayal is terrible. I would love to read more.

I picked up this book off a random amazon recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. It had a good story line and smut mixed.

Only random feedback was that I would have like to see more of the little girl. For a 3 year old she was always sleeping like a little baby would. I get she was sick but still, a normal 3 year old would have been much more to handle.
