The Replacement What if your best friend came back from the dead, but she wasn't herself?
When Charlotte Mitchell returns home after three months missing, the world calls it a miracle. She looks the same, sounds the same, and carries every memory she should. But Harper knows the girl standing in front of her is an impossible lie.
Charlotte is right-handed now. Her childhood scars have vanished. And the strawberries that nearly killed her in sophomore year? She eats them without a second thought. As Harper documents every chilling inconsistency, she realizes this girl knows things Charlotte never told a soul, yet has forgotten the moments they promised never to forget.
The most terrifying part isn't the imposter; it's the parents who seem to be helping her hide. Now, Harper must unravel the truth behind her friend's "resurrection" before she becomes the next person to disappear. Because at the center of this perfect grief is a lie worth killing for, and a girl who will do anything to stay alive.
Some truths are worth dying for. Some lies are worth living.
