If you enjoy books that challenge traditional thinking, Alien Verses: Decoding Genesis is definitely worth picking up.
I appreciated that the book encourages readers to question familiar stories rather than simply accept them at face value. The connections between Genesis, ancient civilizations, history, and even modern theories made for an engaging read, even if I wasn't completely convinced by every conclusion. Some arguments felt stronger than others, and there were moments where I wanted a little more evidence before making the leap from biblical text to extraterrestrial explanations.
That said, I don't think the book is trying to force readers to agree with every idea. Instead, it invites you to look at one of history's most influential texts from a completely different perspective. Whether you end up agreeing or disagreeing, it's hard not to stop and think about the possibilities the author raises.
I'd recommend going into this with an open mind. If you enjoy books about ancient civilizations, biblical mysteries, alternative history, or shows like Ancient Aliens, you'll probably find plenty here to keep you turning the pages. Even if you remain skeptical, it's an entertaining and thought-provoking read that sparks plenty of discussion.

I always have loved the show “Ancient Aliens” on the History channel. I do question some of their conclusions, but I loved learning about ancient civilizations and how they sometime link to other civilizations around the world. If you liked that show, then you will love this book. Rosen gives his readers a very thorough look at his interpretation of Genesis, the first book of the Bible. He compares the King James version to the Hebraic version. He argues that Genesis has been misinterpreted and stories that were confusing (Nephilim) can be made clear by looking at these stories through his interpretation. You must keep an open mind while reading. This book is not for those die-hard evangelic Christians who think any different interpretation of the Bible is hearsay. Rosen’s book is definitely interesting.

ALIEN VERSES is an in depth analysis of the book of Genesis that presents a lot of very interesting and new interpretations of the text. The author makes many connections between stories from the bible and possible alien explanations.
While these interpretations provide an interesting new perspective, some of the connections between the text and how they relate to alien life are not clearly established or fleshed out, rather they are simply stated.
This is a very eye opening work if you're simply looking for a new perspective on stories that you are familiar with, but not if you are looking for a well evidenced argument. Definitely worth a read if you have an open mind and want to challenge your perspective on the book of Genesis, I know I quite enjoyed it.

ALIEN VERSES provides a very thought-provoking take on the Biblical book of Genesis. Several of the points made are things I have questioned myself and have wanted to delve further into.
The author provides current translations of Biblical verses compared with the original Hebrew to analyze his points. He also uses scientific and historical information alongside the Biblical verses to render a comprehensive viewpoint rather than an either/or.
This book is a must-read for anyone with an analytical mind. It would be great to read with a few friends for a discussion group. However, it is not for those with very rigid thinking as it brings up alternative viewpoints of Biblical verse.
