I bought this book at the gift shop at Gooseberry Falls State Park. I’m not exactly the target audience for the book as I am about 50 years older than the main character. But I’ve always enjoyed a good adventure book. I was not disappointed. I found it mostly believable and definitely accurate about the North woods of Minnesota. A real page turner as I wanted to see what would happen next. Good characters that I felt I knew. Moving and satisfying. Probably would have given it five stars if I had read it when I was 14.
