Sadie Lennox wakes up beside her husband’s lifeless body, covered in blood, with no memory of the night before. Accused of murder, she claims amnesia and is sent to Halcyon Institute, a renowned psychiatric facility, where she’s told she’ll be helped to remember. But Dr. Sebastian Harmon, the facility’s manipulative psychiatrist, isn’t interested in Sadie’s recovery - he’s after control.

As Sadie realizes she’s trapped in a nightmare disguised as treatment, Julia Lennox, her estranged sister, knows something darker is at play. Julia has spent her life protecting Sadie from monsters, and now she must become one to save her sister. As Julia infiltrates Halcyon to uncover the truth, she discovers that Sadie isn’t Dr. Harmon’s first victim - and the women who came before her didn’t survive.

Het silence isn’t trauma. It’s strategy…

T.L. Camlock has written a very ( extremely) gripping thriller!!!

The story starts with Sadie waking up and finding her husband Steven dead. T.L. immediately catapults the story at a fast pace to the core. I found myself turning page after page and couldn’t get enough of this book!

The writing style is in 3rd person, fluent and mysterious. There were moments that I held my breath and embraced myself for what was coming! Spectacular!

The thriller is character driven and has scream twists and turns!

I highly recommend this book!.

Twisted, Tense, and Seriously Unsettling

Besties... this was basically a psychological chess match wrapped inside a domestic-abu§€ survival story, and whew… the tension! Watching Sebastian systematically mess with Sadie’s reality was disturbing enough, but convincing her that her own SISTER might not even exist?! Uhhhh… absolutely not. 😳

Meanwhile, YAAAAAASSSSS Julia! Once she entered her 'break my sister out era', I was fully invested. 😂 And Sebastian? Sir. That obsessive need for control, especially his fascination with breaking Sadie because she keeps fighting back, made him completely chilling.

Camlock’s writing is fast, accessible, and very plot-driven. It isn’t overly flowery or deeply nuanced, but it is compulsively readable and psychologically unsettling. Just when I started getting comfortable, the story gave me another reason not to be. Such a tense, twisty ride!

This is a wonderful gripping psychological thriller.

Sadie is instutionalized under Dr Sebastian Harmon after killing her abusive husband. Dr Harmon is a predator who is very dangerous and protected by his own people.

Julia is fighting for her sister knowing what they went through as children and seeing the predator in Dr Sebastian Harmon.

This story is very suspenseful, lots of danger, a nightmare disguised as therapy and two amazing sisters who fight for each other and all the victims that can no longer fight for themselves.

This story will keep you turning the pages. And on the edge of your seat.

I truly enjoyed this story very very much.

I highly recommend this wonderful psychology thriller by T L Camlock.
Plus it has a very happy ending for everyone except DR Sebastian Harmon. That Monster got exactly what he deserved.

Being in a world with no memory yet knowing what you’re being told isn’t real, but your gut just keeps screaming that’s exactly how Sadie’s story feels. Watching her slowly trust that instinct, even when everyone else is controlling the narrative, was unsettling in the best way.
I never trusted Dr. Harmon, and that constant unease shaped the entire book. Dark, psychological, and the kind of story that makes you keep turning the page.

This was a great book! Two estranged sisters are forced to reunite when one of them ends up in a psychiatric hospital for unaliving her husband. The psychiatrist is a sadist though who is all about destroying personalities and gaining control, making the patients be confused with what's real and what's not. If you like books about two tough, resileny sisters who fight until the very end this book is for you! As soon as she arrives there, I found myself devouring every page wondering how they are going to save her. It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommended!

Suspense galore!

This story is about abuse, survival, family and resilience. Once I started reading I couldn't stop. It has been a very long time since I've read a book that held my I interest until the very end....well almost the very end. The 1st 87% or so of this book was a fast pace heart pounding journey that I couldn't take my eyes off of. The last few were repetitive to the point of annoyance, but story was too good to give it anything less than 5 stars.

This book had me hooked immediately! It has one of those intros that make you want to sit and read the whole book in one sitting. It had a lot of suspense that I love, but I was kind of expecting some big wtf moment or twist at the end that never happened. It was still a great book though!
