Adrenaline junky at my best, addict at my worst, but the best drug that’s never left my veins, will always be her.
Nick
Colorado, where I left it all, my family, friends, and Neha. I became a ghost and disappeared to a place no one would find me, Oceanside, CA. I thought running away to the coast after the worst crash of my skateboarding career would be what I needed to get clean from the addict I’ve become. The ocean called to me, and I knew it would help me heal, but it got so much worse, before I got better. Four years clean and six years later, what I want has never been more clear. Get back into the competition circuit, go back to the place I called home, and if I’m lucky, win back the only girl I’ve ever loved, if she’ll have me.
I can’t find him, yet wherever I look he’s there with me, a part of us together forever, he needs to know how that changes everything.
Neha
I’m a lucky woman. With a great career, the best of friends, and in my opinion, the best kid in the world, what more could anyone ask for? There isn’t even a shortage of interested men. Yet, I’m still broken because of him. Nick, the only man I’ve ever loved and saw a future with. It’s been six years since he left without a trace. No social media, no online presence, it’s like he never existed. Then on my birthday I received an unexpected gift, with a handwritten note, and suddenly I am overwhelmed with familiar emotions.

Tailslide i sbook 3 of the Drop-In Series. Though recommended to read all books in order to have a good idea of all characters and relationships, it can be read as a stand alone.
This book completely stole my heart, broke it, and put it back together again. This book dives deep into love, heartbreak and loss. We follow Nick and Neha on a heartbreaking journey of addiction, love and hope.
This book was absolutely beautiful. The FMC was strong, Independent, sassy, and so forgiving. Neha loved with all her heart, she was a force and I loved everything about her character.
The MMC - Nick. one of the best MMCs I have read 🫶 The road Nick walks is dark and lonely, his journey isn't easy, and his past isnt forgotten. Nick was everything, courageous, loving, sexy, and driven. I loved his growth, and who he came to be.
Beckett. Sweet boy stole my heart from the very beginning and held it in his tiny hands. I loved what this young boy brought to the story, a light that was needed in everyone's life and boy did he shine. ❤️
Overall this book was a phenomenal job I would highly recommend this book to everyone. Fall in love, get your heart broke, cuss out a few characters, and fall in love again.
Thank you Ash for letting me arc read book three in the Drop- In series. Your crushed it ❤️
Wow what an incredibly deep and heartbreakingly beautiful romance story this is as. I can’t put into words how hauntingly accurate Ash Ryan wrote about addiction. Truly incredible in a heartbreaking way. Nick is the skateboarding adrenaline junkie. Getting addicted to pain pills after a severe injury that ended his skating career. The road gets extremely dark for Nick and he loses everything. Including destroying Neha, the love of his life, in the process. The journey of life Nick and Neha go on is soul crushing and indescribable but also so incredible. This book absolutely destroyed me. But it was so freaking amazing I could not put it down. What an epic nod to the imperfection of true love! 🖤💓
Nick and Neha's story is so good. These characters had some rough patches, especially the MMC but that growth between them was impeccable. The emotions that this narrative evoked really hits hard. I loved the dynamics, the buildup, the storytelling, and how everything came together. This is an exceptional story that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end.
