Whatever you're struggling with, you're not there's a saint who is not only praying for you before the throne of God, but who went through the same thing you're going through. In Saintly Solutions , Fr. Joseph Esper introduces you to over 350 saints who suffered in ways that you and I suffer every day, and who will bring you, too, to peace! Fr. Esper considers over forty of life's common problems, showing how saints overcame these challenges and difficulties, and even grew holier as they did so. Better yet, he explains how you can, too. In each chapter, Fr. Esper includes thought-provoking quotes from saints for further reflection, a practical section entitled Something you might try, and solid recommendations for further reading. That makes Saintly Solutions immensely valuable for everyone who struggles with life's common problems and wants to face them with the unquenchable joy of the saints!

This is a wonderful book to live one's life by. I always thought Saints were "perfect" only to find out they had faults and sinned like regular people. I also love that the traits that people often struggle with are in alphabetical order. after reading this book, I will keep the book on my shelf as a reference to remind myself. There are tips on how to handle the issue that one is dealing with. Well worth reading even if one is not Catholic.
Well written "handbook" to handling a variety of life situations and sinful tendencies, identifying many saints (well-known and little-known) who were challenged by the same issues or who lead by example in combating such challenges.
Great book to pick out one's personal problem/s and read how the saints dealt with it/them...argumentativeness, family difficulties, financial difficulties, gossip, grief, tardiness, uncertainty...it's all there, in alphabetized chapters. The bullet points in "Something You Might Try" at the end of each chapter, with suggestions for further reading in Scripture, classics, and contemporary readings is priceless.
This book is amazing! It covers so many useful topics like anger, lust, sloth, gossip, and many more! I love this book so much and it has benefited my growth tremendously! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS BOOK!
I check this out every couple of years from the library. I read and focus on the 3-4 areas I need to work. There is lots of specific food for thought, quotes, and scripture, as well as stories and examples of the saints. This is a great virtue/vice tool for spiritual development.
