Well Helena Hunting has done it again! She completed this series with a bang! (pun intended)
Out of the whole series I was looking forward to Flip and Tally’s story the most and it did not disappoint.
The character growth of Flip from If You Hate Me to now was beautiful. This boy grew into such a wonderful man. He had a beautiful arc from Playboy to serious boyfriend material.
The way he treated Tally, and they way they worked through their problems was so gratifying to read.
I love the way Helena wrapped up the series and can't wait to read more of the spinoff to the Toronto Terror.

The Grand Finale

There had been many hints about Flip and Tally in the previous books in the Toronto Terror series and it hit me like a flash.

I love everything and every page in this book. There are books that need to hit you on the right time to love them and this is right now mine.

The book is well written, I consumed this book in a few hours and couldn't put it away. Long hours worth every single second.

The story is told from both POVs (Tally & Flip) in the first person which always helps me to stay more connected and invested in the protagonists. I was able to feel so many emotions through them, like literally cry, laughing out loud (in some not appropriate moments -sorry not sorry-), be sad, happy and all the in between.
There are a lot of emotions, but they're important in their evolution.

Tally and Flip gone a long way in their individual outcome but also together. I could clearly see an evolution in both. They're outgrow themselves in a perfect way. I really loved this.

I also love the connection between Tally and Flip full of chemistry and friendship. The age gap doesn't feel heavy. Tally might be younger but she's and old soul since childhood which shows up clearly and is realistic and relatable from her past experiences.

Flip had already evolved a lot since book one in the Toronto Terror series, but now having finally his own point of view makes it more palpable and understandable. I could relate with his past experiences and understand his motives for his past and his will to change into the person he's now.

I need to talk about the chemistry. It's hot, it's fun and who knew Cammies Fan Fiction could be so much fun when other pairs discovered them? The spice level is a solid 4/5. Flip has the perfect boyfriend material: He's attentive, loveable, caring, protective and we know he's a hockey player with all that hip training he's good at all.

non native English readers:
This story is easy to follow and to understand.

conclusion:
Great finale in the series with all the hot stuff to make a girl swoon all over.

I have been waiting for Flip and Tally to find their way to each other for what feels like forever and I am happy to report it was all I wanted and more! This was the sweetest story that was 100% worth waiting for. The found family in the Terror books is one of my favorites I’ve ever read and it was so fun seeing them all again throughout this book. The way they all saw what was happening before Flip and Tally as well as their reactions when it finally happened were perfect. From our introduction to Flip in book 1 to the thoughtful, tender, incredible person of Phillip in book 6 his character arc has been one of my all time favorites. Flip is now at the top of my favorite book boyfriend’s list. This book made me laugh (multiple times), made me think, made me yearn, and even made me cry (tears of joy). Just be ready for chapter 55. The characters ability to talk though things and open up to each other were beautiful. And I love a book without a third act breakup. I’m going on and on because that’s what I wanted this book to do. I’m sad the Terror series is over, but I’m hoping we’ll see some familiar faces in the future. Well done, Helena! Thank you for bringing the Terror and their found family to life

Tally and Phillip!

Everyone deserves to be treated like Flip treats Tally!

Tally is finishing her final year in University while her future is professional dancing. She is tired of being a virgin and has a solution.

Flip boss is Tally father, head coach for Terrors hockey. in the years past, Flip is known as an "experienced man".

The build up, the connection, the drive that Flip had to make sure his relationship was based off honesty and real connection.

absolutely love Flip and Tally. supper sad this is the last of Terror. BBB is now complete with Tally.

I was excited for Flip and Tally's story, only second to Brody and Enid, but after reading the sneak peak in If You Claim Me I'm a little skeptical...

Not the biggest fan of this particular trope (especially with the way Tally just straight up asked Flip with no build up to it like damn girl 😭), but I'm withholding further judgement until the book comes out.

I am actually speechless. I’m trying to come to terms with the fact that the final faceoff for The Toronto Terror Series has come and gone. The book hangover is absolutely real. I’ve been waiting for Flip and Tally’s story since book one, and it exceeded every single expectation. I mean how could you go wrong with a hockey romance with a treasure trove of tropes including: age gap, coach's daughter, friends to lovers, reformed playboy, inexperienced heroine, slow burn, and found family? You can’t or at least Helena Hunting can’t. She crafted the perfect ending to Flip and Tally’s story and The Toronto Terror Series at large and tied it together with such care. This book was absolutely worth the wait.

I’m not going to lie. If you told me in book one that I would be swooning over Phillip “Flip” Madden, I would have called you crazy. The “reformed playbook” shtick isn’t really my jam but the journey from the reformed playboy in book 1 to the man Flip becomes in If You Keep Me is remarkable and handled so well. Flip is absolutely dreamy. He is sweet, gentle, and utterly delicious which is the absolute last way I would’ve described him previously. Flip’s personal growth is unmatched and seeing him finally stop chasing fleeting pleasures to pursue something real was everything.

Tallulah “Tally” Vander Zee is a phenomenal FMC. Tally is strong and relatable and as the coach’s daughter, completely off limits especially when you throw in the age gap. The magic between Flip and Tally cannot and will not be denied though. Helena Hunting took her time (slowly and agonizingly) with the progression of their relationship letting us feel every ounce of the longing between Flip and Tally. The amount of pining and yearning had me screaming at my Kindle but the emotional payoff when they finally cross the line is so worth it. The physical scenes are incredibly steamy and smoking hot, but it was the profound vulnerability and emotional intimacy between the characters that really set this story apart for me. Flip and Tally have ruined me in the best way possible.

The emotional depth in this book made me cry. The book doesn't shy away from the hard parts like the fear of trust, the vulnerability of giving your heart to someone, the pressure of the spotlight, and the terrifying feelings that can come with finally getting the one thing you want. This is especially true when you have a past like Flip’s. Flip and Tally’s relationship is not all sunshine and rainbows, which made their HEA feel so earned and even more satisfying. I’m not sure that I’ve ever rooted for a couple harder.

I also cannot talk about this book without mentioning the side characters. The Babe Brigade, the Tilton U crew, and the Terror family are back and better than ever! The found family dynamic is everything. I ate up the way that these characters love, support and rally around each other. The frenemies bromance (even in light of the “sandwich incident”) between Connor and Flip made me chuckle. And any time I get to check in on my all-time favorite Helena Hunting couple, Kodiak and Lavender Bowman, I’m a happy camper. Gah! I’m going to miss these characters but seeing them one last time and getting a glimpse into all of their HEA’s made me sigh with happiness.

In the end, this is an epic conclusion to a series I’ll never forget. My review will never do this story justice, but this is a must-read, age-gap, coach's-daughter, friends-to-lovers hockey romance that sets the bar high and has the best side characters in the business. I’m sad to leave the Terror family behind, but this was the perfect way to say goodbye and there is so much more to look forward to from Helena Hunting. 5-stars, emotional, swoony, and incredibly satisfying—don’t miss this one!

Star: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

If You Keep Me by Helena Hunting is book 6 in the Toronto Terror series and works as a standalone, though longtime readers will appreciate seeing familiar faces again. This one gives us Flip Madden, the former playboy hockey star who has spent the series slowly growing up, and Tally, his coach’s daughter who has quietly loved him for years.

The story kicks off with a bold and slightly chaotic decision from Tally after one too many awful dates. In a moment of bravery and desperation, she asks Flip to take her virginity. It is awkward, mortifying, and honestly hilarious because she truly thinks she can just present this as a logical solution to a problem. Flip shutting her down is not a rejection in the way she fears, though. It immediately becomes clear that his feelings run far deeper and far more complicated than simple attraction.

What really makes this book work is Flip. Readers who have followed the series have seen glimpses of who he is underneath the reputation, but this book lets him fully step into the emotionally mature, protective, quietly devoted hero he has been becoming. He takes the coach’s daughter boundary very seriously, not because he does not want Tally, but because he wants her enough to refuse to risk hurting her, her family, or her future. His restraint, patience, and the way he shows up for her through small gestures like attending her recitals and engaging in her interests made him incredibly swoony.

Tally is also easy to root for. She is not immature; she is just young and figuring herself out. She struggles with feeling invisible and constantly compared to others, and her crush on Flip has always felt safe because she never thought it could be real. Watching her gain confidence and realize she deserves to be chosen openly, not secretly, adds a really satisfying emotional arc to the romance.

The age gap and forbidden elements create steady tension throughout the book. Their dynamic thrives on longing, stolen looks, and emotional intimacy long before anything physical happens. Helena Hunting leans heavily into slow burn, and it works because the relationship is built on genuine friendship, history, and mutual respect. When they finally allow themselves to acknowledge what has always been there, it feels earned rather than rushed.

Family dynamics is another standout. Tally’s relationship with her dad adds both humor and stakes, and the team’s camaraderie brings warmth and familiarity to the story. The Toronto Terror players continue to feel like a real group of people rather than background characters, which makes the series finale especially comforting and nostalgic.

Overall, this is a soft, emotional, character driven romance about timing, growing up, and learning when to hold on and when to take a risk. Flip and Tally’s relationship is sweet, tender, and full of quiet devotion. It is a satisfying send-off to the series and a perfect book for readers who love a protective hero, a long-held crush, and a slow burn that delivers plenty of heart.

I went into this knowing Flip’s book was going to wreck me—in the best way—because this entire series has been elite from page one. It’s one of the only series I want in full special-edition hardbacks, sprayed edges, bonus content, the whole collector’s dream. That’s how good it is.

And yes—I’m proudly on Helena’s team, so getting this ARC felt like Christmas morning. I’ve been waiting for Flip’s story, and it did not disappoint.

From the hints Helena dropped, we knew Tally asks Flip to be her first. That premise alone? Loaded. This is age gap, coach’s daughter, long-time friend group tension, and years of almost-but-not-quite simmering beneath the surface.

Tally has been around forever. She’s not new. She’s not random. She’s grown up adjacent to this world, and Flip has always been there—just slightly out of reach.

Flip, being Flip, struggles with the idea that she might only want him because of who he used to be—because of his past, the version of him that made headlines and mistakes. But that’s never been it for Tally. She’s always seen him. Always liked him. And he’s always felt it too.

What makes this story hit so hard isn’t just the chemistry (which is very much there), but the emotional groundwork.

Flip insists on taking things slow. He’s intentional. He’s careful. He shows up.

And that’s the core of this romance.

Because Tally has a father who shows up for his team—but hasn’t always shown up for her. So when Flip makes a point to be there? To prioritize her? To choose her publicly and privately? It matters. It lands.

And this isn’t new behavior for him. Throughout the series, he’s shown up to her events, been in her orbit, supported her quietly. This relationship feels earned because we’ve seen the breadcrumbs all along.

You’ll get:
• Age gap tension
• Coach’s daughter stakes
• Friend group dynamics
• PR drama and messy headlines
• Hard conversations
• Slow burn that turns very spicy
• A hero who is all in

There are PR nightmares. There are real, adult conversations. There are moments that will make you clutch your chest—and others that will make you fan yourself.

But more than anything, this book feels like the perfect closing note to the series. It wraps everything with heart, growth, and the kind of romance that feels mature and deeply intentional.

Flip and Tally weren’t rushed. They were built.

And honestly? It’s perfect.

The Toronto Terror Series ends on an epic ending with Flip and Tally’s story.

Tally has loved FLIP for so long. She been enfolded into the Terror friend group, but has loved Flip from afar never thinking he works see her as anything but a friend and too young for him. After all, Flip has been around and his reputation precedes himself. He has widescreen hard the mast few years to change his persona and to find something and someone meaningful never knowing it was Tally who he really needed.

Tally is in her last year of college and tired of dating boys only wanting her for being the coaches’s daughter and wants to take the next step and lose her V card. She propositions Flip not realizing the impact this will have on him. Flip has been friends with Tally for years always keeping her in the friend zone, because she’s completely off limits. He has a lot of baggage and doesn’t really think he deserves her, but decides he wants to give it a go.

For this entire series, we had no idea who the real Flip Madden was, but we see him in totality in this book. There are so many layers to him. He has matured and became exactly who Tally needed. We saw an endearing and caring side to Flip and all things a caring and supportive boyfriend should be. It was completely transformative! When he unveils his feelings towards Tally they begin a relationship and soon their relationship where becomes front and center for media fodder. Tally, ultimately is impacted by all the attention. Add this to her last semester of college, things going on with her family and all the things she’s balancing. The pressure is all encompassing, but Flip will do everything in his power to protect Tally and that includes all his past mistakes.

Flip was ever the gentleman in this book. It was phenomenal to see where he started and how he completely turned his life around where relationships are concerned. He was tender and caring, thoughtful, swoony and more than just a hockey player. This book was all I expected it to be and more. This series has my heart, but Flip and Tally’s story was one that is soul deep.

Rating: 5⭐️ 3🌶️ 5❤️

The perfect ending to this series. I had been waiting for Flip’s story, and it did not disappoint. It was everything I hoped for — and somehow more.

If You Keep Me absolutely wrecked me in the best way. The pining. The angst. The slow-burn tension that had me clutching my book and whisper-screaming, “JUST KISS ALREADY.” 🔥 Every look, every almost-touch, every restrained moment felt intentional and torturous in the most delicious way.

Flip loves her so fiercely, yet so quietly. The way he takes care of her, hovers in that deeply protective, slightly possessive way — not out of control, but out of fear of losing the one thing that feels like home. And beneath all of that strength is a man who truly believes he isn’t good enough for her. That shattered me.

His past wounds run deep. Being hurt so young, carrying the belief that people only want him for experience or money — it adds such raw vulnerability to his character

Their healing journey together is what truly makes this story unforgettable. Two broken souls learning that love doesn’t have to hurt. That they can be safe. That they can choose each other without fear. The way he lays his heart bare for her 🥰🥰🥰

The found family element, especially his relationship with Dred, added so much warmth and grounding to the story. You could feel that this wasn’t just a love story between two people — it was about belonging.

And yes — the spice? Immaculate. Emotional. Earned. Worth every second of waiting. When it finally happened, it felt like a release of everything they had been holding back.

I’m genuinely sad to say goodbye to this series. These characters feel real, and watching them grow, heal, and fight for each other has been such a gift.

But if this is the ending, it’s a beautiful one.

And I cannot wait to see what comes next.

If you love slow burn, aching pining, protective-but-soft heroes, emotional depth, and found family — this book will own your heart.

If You Keep Me is the 6th and final book in the Toronto Terror series. This one I’ve been waiting for this book since If You Hate Me came out, because it’s Phillip “Flip” Madden and Tallulah “Tally” Vander Zee’s book.

Tally is the coach’s daughter who was quietly in love with Flip for years. However, Flip needed a lot of character growth from when he first met him in If You Hate Me in order to be who Tally needs him to be. That being said, Flip did not have romantic feelings for Tally until recently.

The story begins with Tally asking Flip to take her virginity. Maybe the old Flip would have taken her up on that, but his slow personal growth and how his feelings for Tally changed, he did not. Flip’s feelings for Tally were deep. Once they began to show each other how much they love each other and when they decided to be together, the romance was very sweet. Flip was determined to go slow with Tally, because of how deep his feelings were and that he didn’t want to repeat mistakes from his past. I loved how patient and how protective he was towards her. Tally was young, but she her struggles helped made for great tension as did the age gap and how Flip’s past came back to haunt them in the media. I loved how Flip and Tally were themselves and how they were very clear with what they needed from each other.

The found family vibes, the emotional development, the character growth, and the slow burn romance was beautifully written. The longing that they had for each other was perfect even through their friendship at the beginning of the novel. Helena Hunting’s humor and spice were what I’ve come to love about her books, but the heart and emotional intimacy between Tally and Flip was everything! I loved seeing characters from past books in the Toronto Terror series and her H. Hunting series. If You Keep Me was the perfect ending to a fantastic series.

Thank you to Helena Hunting for an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Okay, here's the thing: going into this book I loved Flip Madden. If you would have asked me my favorite Terror player - I would have said Flip. I think my answer has changed - and it's for such a shitty reason. He was so healthy and unproblematic. If something happened he put his shining armor on and solved the problem. There were no crusty t-shirts to be found in current day Flip, that was all in his past (which hopped up and bit him in the butt). I wanted draaammmaaa. I wanted vegetables used in unimaginable ways. Maybe even a daddy k!nk, but noooooo, he was honorable to the point of asking Coach for permission to date his daughter before anything started. The audacity.

But you ask: surely, there was some good smut, right? Flip surely was down for things, right? Obviously, but first he made her wait until his virginity was back in tact... or something. Turns out, Tally has a bit of a public spaces k!nk, always a fun one. Look, if you're looking for a messy story, this isn't it. Flip as atoned for his past slutty self and his prize is the sweet relationship between him and Tally. There isn't a 3rd act break up and while there is a minor miscommunication trope at play, it's really not treated as an absolute disaster because they're all adults and talk to each other. I did love this story, it was on the sweeter side of the series (think Dallas). And thank the gods for Dred. I love her. She's perfect.

I did enjoy the non reaction everyone gave to the relationship, poor Flip was so clueless. Anyway, this book sets up multiple books and I can't wait for them all. I definitely think you can't miss this one. Buy it, read it, enjoy it.

If You Keep Me is the last book in The Toronto Terror series.

What to Expect:
🏒 Ice Hockey Romance
🩰 Age Gap
🏒 Slow Burn
🩰 Virgin FMC
🏒 Reformed Playboy
🩰 Found Family
🏒 Coach’s Daughter

In the first Toronto Terror book, Flip was a total playboy and Tally, who is the coach’s daughter, was a seventeen year old interning for the team with a crush on Flip. Now, Flip has turned his life around and Tally is about to graduate university. Their time has now arrived and it is really no surprise to any of their friends.

Flip, the way he adores Tally is just beautiful. He knows all her favourite things, is supportive and fulfills her fantasies. I loved his interactions with his best friends and Connor.

I’ve been waiting for Flip and Tally to finally get their HEA and it is such a sweet one. Helena Hunting has done a fantastic job with If You Keep Me, the romance is a slow burn but Flip and Tally’s chemistry is top tier. The craziness of the “family” we’ve grown to love is also present.

I am going to miss the Toronto Terror family but am looking forward to them popping up in new series.

Thank you Helena Hunting for the opportunity to review an eARC of If You Keep Me in exchange for my honest review.

“Please keep me” oh Flip, how I love thee!! Flip and Tally’s story was the most pure representation of love I have seen in a book in a long time. This book is what keeps me reading and loving romance, and the perfect example of why I love Helena.

Don’t get me wrong I love some steamy romance but I love when books highlight and focus on the falling! Tally and Flip have every reason to not be. They have so many complications and even more are added almost daily, but when Flip Madden makes up his mind, he will stop at nothing to show Tally he can be who she needs!

This book was the perfect homage to found families, the importance of friends and how showing up for the ones you love makes all the difference! My heart is happy because I know this isn’t the last I will see of this group and I can not wait for what’s to come for the secondary characters we have met and falling in love with along the way.

What an ending! What a book! What a goodbye!
Flip - wow what a change from the man we met at the beginning of the series to the man he is now in his own book! He was attentive, caring, kind and so damn loveable. So many open wounds that he tried to keep hidden.
Tally, she went through an awful lot in this book and had so many highs and lows but the way Flip loved and cared for her was heartwarming. She obviously was going through a lot of stuff throughout the book and felt heartbroken for her.
These two together were amazing! I was hooked and didn’t want to put my kindle down!
I didn’t want to say goodbye to my fave hockey players and their lovely BBB’s squad but all good things must come to an end and what an ending Helena gave us.
Thank you so much to Helena and her team for this eARC in exchange for my honest review

Thank you to Helena Hunting and her team for this ARC. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE TORONTO TERROR HAVE ENDED 😭 But Flip and Tally were worth the edging! What a way for their love story to begin. They were always end game and we all knew it. I kind of can’t believe Flip and Tally’s backdrop to their story is in the midst of major divorce news - but it seems fitting with Flip’s secret marriage/divorce and his fears of loving someone and being loved by someone. And it DEFINITELY adds to Tally’s anxiety and everything else that’s going on in her life. Flip really stepped up and supported Tally in the ways that she needed to be. And while this book felt like an ending - it also feels like a bridge to a new beginning that I feel is coming with Quinn and Lovey.

I also need to know if ‘I’ll be so good to you’ from Flip is a Shorsey homage 🤣

the dedication. 😭 flip’s inner monologue. 😭 everything going on with tally. 😭😭😭😭 im so, so sad this series is over, but im so grateful for the opportunity to have received an eARC. 🤟🏼

tally & flip’s book is one i’ve been waiting for since rix’s book, but truly only helena could make this age gap work without it being weird. we meet tally when she’s a senior in high school & there were moments throughout the series i was like… hmm, well this could be a not great age gap. but alas, helena executed this beautifully. i love tally & flip so much. seeing them get their HEA is so sweet & so, so wild considering who flip was at the beginning of the Terror.

i feel lucky to have followed this series from beginning to end & im SO intrigued to see what comes next.

Flip Madden has been Tally Vander Zee’s crush for a while but being the coach’s daughter makes her untouchable. All she wants is to loose her V-card finally but can’t find a decent man to doo the deed. Maybe asking the friend and crush Flip is the best option…or the worst! Can these two keep it in the friend zone when lines are crossed? This is the perfect addition to the series and don’t worry we get all the friend’s thoughts too. lol get ready to cheer for Flip finally falling for the right one! Told in first person and dual POV.

I love Helena Hunting’s writing style, how it’s enough to dream but realistic enough it could happen. All of her characters have distinct personalities but interconnect so well, even within all her series!

If You Keep Me, is the much anticipated final book in the Toronto Terror series! Each book gave foresight that Tally crushed on Flip and he was very protective of her. As she got older he became more protective. If like me you love reformed bad boy that truly is a good guy, strong FMC, age gap, coaches daughter and swooned over all the other books you’ll ravage Flip and Tally🩷

I ended up falling in love with these two. More than expected.

Both surprised me. Flip is a book boyfriend for sure. Tally may have been a virgin but only technically. She was no shrinking violet.

All the feels and spice mixed with the humor one expects.

Helena Hunting has done it again. The terror series has been a personal favorite of mine and reading Tally and Flips story was absolutely perfect. The swoony, emotional, and endearing rollercoaster of a ride. I wish I could read this book over for the first time. It’s well written, age gap, he’s head over heels, just…perfect. Devoured this book and I don’t regret it.

The fact that such a high profile author would write a book in 2026 perpetuating antiquated, misogynistic, patriarchal stereotypes that only a chaste virgin is good enough to make the raging fuckboy give up his lifestyle and settle down is profoundly disappointing.

I think I need a day to process before I write a full review. This was everything I wanted and more! Flip and Tally were the absolutely perfect ending to this fantastic series. I’m so sad it’s over though!!!
