What a delicious dual-v, vampire/human read
Gahhh! Look. I get it. Most books don’t have a virgin H, especially a vampire H, but man… I found myself wanting to get my own vampire to keep for myself after this book. I mean, if my man isn’t sniffing and sensing me all day long, is it even true love? 🥺 Plus, he calls her Kitty, Princess, AND Baby!!! SWOOOON!

Ummm… duet narration AND Jacob Clarke?!?!?? BE STILL MY VAG- I mean… MY HEART 🫠💦🥵🔥. Jason Clarke can read a shopping list and I’m sold 🤷🏻♀️ lol. I loved his different voices, but his growly Adryan voice was extra special 😮💨😉. This time around, I love how protective Adryan is🥹🫶 especially when he finds out all the 🔥 had the right kind of consequences 😉🫶lol. I can’t wait to read the next one. The narrator has an amazing accent! 👀. I’m a hoooooar for them 🤷🏻♀️😉👏🏻.
Plus. He grows out his facial hair for her 👏🏻. We all know facial hair is the equivalent to makeup for women … they’re just sexier 🤣 (women with or without makeup is sexy lol but I can’t think of how else to say it)
Adryan is 120 years old, and he’s a vicious leader. He’s a Vampire King and has killed many in his lifetime- he doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty. With all the political stuff going on in the paranormal world, he’s been busy. He’s never been able to… um… get it up… until he smells his mate… his human mate… and he can’t wait to consume her 😈😅 and mark her as his 🥵.
Kayla (24) has never been with a man. She’s never felt the need to or the inclination to try being intimate with anyone; plus, she feels repulsed by them. When she goes clubbing with her bff and her cousin, she gets overpowered by this stranger while dancing very sensually. The need and hunger he awakes in her is unreal, and the way he nibbles on her is unlike anything she’s ever felt.
When she tries dating her best friend’s cousin, his JP side comes out, and she no longer controls the way her body reacts to him. He straight up tells her that she can run from him, but he’ll always catch her, and jeeeezus, does he ever 🔥🥵. Annnnnd, he tells her that he’ll enjoy catching her EVERY. TIME. *undies disintegrate*.
OH. MY. GOSH. The chemistry. The connection. The visceral passion and primal need to be together was STEAMY. Their first intense make-out session happened when she was on her “date” with the cousin, and Adryan was very happy to stake his claim 🥵🔥. I mean, no man is gonna stop him from getting him to mark what’s his 💅 and does he ever 😉. There might not be a ton of smexxy scenes, but the ones in here make it COUNT 🥵🔥😅🤤. Plus, his dirty mouth was definitely panty-melting 🔥. Annnnnd… the amount of biting and licking made me blush and look over my shoulder a lot 🤤.
Sigh. Adryan is so protective of his mate, I just loved everything he did for her. Annnnnd… I loved the HEA 🥰🥺. Even though there’s otherworldly being drama, Adryan prioritizes Kayla- she’s his most important person❤️❤️❤️

I HAVE BEEN WAITING AGES FOR ADRYAN!!! I knew this man would be the death of me.. and Jenika came for my soul with this man.
We have seen Adryan for awhile in pervious books and it's his turn to shine and he already spotted his mate and she's everything he wants She's light with a hint of darkness with what she craves. Kayla has tiny fantasies that make her think she's not normal she feels she's being watched and when she sees who is watching her it's a push/pull with the feelings, she's also trying to dodge her friends cousin who wants to date her. But boy Adryan makes sure that doesn't happen.. this man puts Edward Cullen to shame when he watches his woman sleep lol ;) he's possessive, powerful and those lips and fangs. Bug not all is sunshine and rainbows there still that group who are taken supernatural creatures hostage and they took Kayla wrong thing to do.. because you don't go after a psychos mate.. secerts are uncovered and a new couple is mentioned for the next book it's seems angsty I'm so ready.

This is the Fifth entry in the Lykan series and the first one in that series about a full bloodied male vampire. Adryan is the uncle of the previous characters and he is a chaotic psychopath. I am absolutely okay with everything I just mentioned and I was thrilled to get to review this book early.
Kayla is human and she has always felt a bit "off". She is innocent in a lot of ways and just wants to go about her life, expecting nothing from no one. Then she goes to a club with her friend and she walks into the sight of Adryan, and ageless vampire who has been searching for his mate. The only woman who can arouse him and be his perfect fit. And boy has a lot to "fit" if you catch my drift.
Which of course you do! It's a spicy romance of course.
Kayla is terrified by the feelings Adryan arouses in her for the very first time. And when he starts stalking her… she just wants him to go away.
But Adryan has been waiting several life times for Kayla and he won't be denied. Their chemistry is explosive, and despite her wishes she is drawn to him. He won't be an easy male to handle but she is the only woman who can.
This was thrilling, dark, spicy and delightful. I loved every page and I can't wait for the next entry to the series.

Been waiting for Adryan's book - he was such an @ssh0le in the other books, so I couldn't wait for him to get his - and Bite Marks didn't disappoint. Aydrian didn't get to be King of the American vampires by being a nice guy. He's completely soulless at this point and he'd all but given up finding his coveted female when he notices Kayla. And with one look it's ON. Adryan is obsessive, possessive, and can't even stand for other guys to look at her, never mind touch her. With the ever looming threat of the Assembly hanging over his head - he knows he needs to keep his mate safe.
Phewww! This book was smoking! Really fast paced and well written, Jenicka Snow comes through again with another super hot and entertaining read. Kayla had been really struggling when she came across Adryan who just steamrolls into her life. I liked how she had an aversion to touching that she never understood and how Adryan is the only person who she's been able to get close to. This story had tons of twists and turns that had me all the way to the end. Loved the teaser for the next book as well -- can't wait!

this is a long so be prepared but the pacing still felt very fast. I loved Adryan so much - truly an unhinged psychopath vampire but we love to see it. He is a 120 year old virgin so i guess there’s a reason to his madness
What I love about this series so far is that the “other world” species (werewolves, vampires, fae, etc) never feel ANY type of arousal for anyone except for their mates. Like absolutely no desire at all and they usually are virgins. Even their human mates have no desire to be with anyone and are repulsed by anyone else’s touch except for their mates.
If you love vampires…and kinky blood play this is for you

Holy cow. I've been waiting for Adryan's story and it did not disappoint. Adryan finds his Coveted Female when she visits his club Sinner and his entire life trajectory changes. Even with a brewing war, he has a new objective...woo and claim his female.
Kayla is human and she thinks of herself as deviant and broken. Never responding to any man's touch she wonders what is wrong with her. When she runs into the dark and dangerous Adryan, she realizes she may have been waiting for him this whole time. Sensing that he is more feral than anything, she is hesitant at first but the pull between them is too strong to resist.
Just as the two of them are finally coming together, Kayla is kidnapped by an evil organization and Adyran and the Lycans set out on a mission to destroy the Assembly.
This was so hot. The sexual tension and push and pull between Adryan and Kayla was delicious and the suspense with the Assembly and Odrhan and Larkin for the next story was so well written. Adyran was a yummy alpha male with particular kinks and I loved him. Kayla was such a nice character although I would have liked a little more development with her. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this steamy and fast paced read. It was everything I wanted for Adryan.

5 ‘Obsessed’ Stars
Lord have mercy!!! This book needs to come with a big WARNING label, absolutely NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!! Sorry but this one will be full of exclamation points, lol.
As for the warning, be prepared- you can’t really, lol - for the FILTHIEST of talkers, and this said by a Tessa Bailey’s dirty talk addict, with a mouth so damn dirty, that will make you combust on its own alone, but coupled with the most possessive and obsessed of Alphas, oh wow… *ovaries combustion*
I read this one twice, once in ebook, and once in audio - perfect narrators, Stella Hunter was flawless and Jason Clarke… oh my, you are not ready, believe me, who knew the dirty talk could be taken to new heights with the RIGHT narrator?! I do now, lol… Grab this audio, I tell you!
I now need a paperback, too because this level of paranormal smuttiness needs to be celebrated, and front rowed on my shelves! A delicious naughty - ok, ok, that’s too subdued - FILTHY read like this needs to be a staple in all the romance lists!

One, this is not the author for me, so take this with a grain of salt. Two, this was not good. Long, drawn out, repetitive, frequent contradictions, very little real connection between the couple. This is a dark paranormal with a lot of violence and torture, including for a female that is a main character in another book.

This is probably the spiciest by far. 🫣 These two like some really hard stuff. I mean, it's a sadist x masochist combo, so just imagine the smut between them. 🤭 Anyway, I wasn't into their romance, idk why. They just didn't appeal to me, but ngl, the steamy times were hawt AF.
But I did enjoy the continuation of the assembly storyline. I was so invested in this stupid organization, but it really made me wary of Odhran and Larkin's book. I don't want to imagine what she went through all these years, but I'm sure it's the worst of the worst things out there.
Also a minor issue of mine. I don't particularly enjoy it when innocent characters are unalived for any reason, and that happened to two minor characters here (nothing of interest, still). Idk, it's just not my thing.
And the constant impatience battle between lycans and vampires got exhausting at some point. Even though it was Adryan who always stirred things up, it got pretty frustrating how the Lycans kept falling for it every single time. Then again, these people are alpha in their ways, so…
Overall, it was okay, but I'm more excited about the next book.

It's been so long since i actually liked a heroine's character. She was sweet, kind, loyal, trying to discover herself <3
The antihero had a great balance of supposedly being the 'bad guy' but somehow we do see glimpses of him being soft!
Adryan is kinda like the guy who is good and vulnerable only towards kayla!!! Guy was ready to burn the world for her!!!
Plot was engaging. Overall, i really liked this and i do recommend! I like darkness mixed with sweetness/light and light/love overcoming the darkness!!!

This is how you do fated mates!! The magnetic pull, the tension, the dynamic longing just oozes off the page. No one quite does caveman-possession, you are mine mated alphas and crazy sexy smut like Jenika snow. Love this series- it's fast paced, hella hot, and a lot of fun. And Bite Marks may just be my favorite in the series thus far.

-H is a sadist and h is a masochist.
-Adryan is DELICIOUS. He is possesive, he threatens his solider for even THINKING about his mate.
-marking and blood 🩸. He’s a vampire so his little marking bites and drinking from her inner thigh and neck is 🤤 . Him drink from her, her drinking from him … soooo good.

Excuse me but hold on to your panties because they are going to be incinerated after the first deep growl and trust me, they are plenty!! Then the um... dirty scenes goodnight nurse! Let's just say this story is not missing anything where narration is concerned.
The magnetic pull that Snow created with Kayla & Adryan was unlike anything I have ever read before. The fated mates trope doesn't always work out so well for me because I don't feel it. I don't feel the urgency that you are supposed to have for that one person. With these two, I felt it. Even with Kayla when she wasn't entirely how she should feel about this new world she was thrust into she felt that pull to Adryan. That deep ache that said this is the person you are supposed to be with.
This was my first Jenika Snow book and I keep asking myself WHY? Seriously there was not one single aspect about this story I didn't love. It was filthy, dark, bloody *wink wink*, and intense. All things I look for in a book with a vampire and his mate.

I honestly was disappointed with how this turned out 🫠😔 This probably had to be my most anticipated book in the series because ever since Adryan was introduced I was sattt (a sociopathic vampire king? Hello sign me up.)
I just felt like this book was wayyy too plot-heavy, where the actual romance wasn't balanced imo. My problem with this was that said plot had literally nothing to do with the actual couple. It just felt so unnecessary and took away from the characters and their story.
I also find it really ironic how in every one of these books the Hs rave about how much they'll protect and never let anything harm the hs and then they immediately fail to do so 💀.
Anyway, there was SO much potential with this couple. They had SUCH amazing chemistry, but really weren't given any time to properly let it flesh out (in a non-sexual way). It's such a shame 🥲.

I loved Adryan from the begining. I had such high hopes because his character's personality was appealing to me but damn was I disappointed. His possessiveness is what saved this book for me. That, and the chapter and a half of smut. I mostly liked the book up until chapter 24. After that it fell apart for me. There wasn't anything to hold my attention and make up for some of the issues I had with the writing.
This book has a little plot with a little smut. I hated how much the author made Adryan reiterate that he is a psychopath and a predator. There were numerous unnecessary filler words and contradicting sentences throughout the book which also took away from the story in my opinion.

Gods, she was a gorgeous thing, maybe average in height by human standards, but compared to me, she was tiny, breakable.
I felt a rush of heat settle in my groin at the thought of breaking her, of destroying her, ruining her for every other male on the planet.

I - it was - *sigh*
I always do this. I read out of order and then I’m shocked when I don’t recognize characters/plot lines.
It wasn’t bad. It was a lovely way to pass the time. A few syntax errors spattered throughout and an interesting perspective on kink.
We have Adryan (honestly I have to remove a star just for that spelling) and Kayla. Adryan is a vampire - not Edward Cullen vibes, think … Castlevania. He is a self-professed sociopath - which is usually the first clue that he’s not going to have anti-social personality disorder. He also apparently has an … appendage … the length of Kayla’s forearm. To that, I say … ouch. It’s cool though, Kayla likes pain, a well-placed coincidence.
Kayla is also doing a master’s degree in psychology - but I can only hope that her stream isn’t clinically based because she would be … very bad at that. Please be in experimental or developmental psychology. I can’t say much about Kayla besides that she’s always been into pain and has convinced herself she must be a depraved lunatic. It’s weird that I have to say this twice in the same week - but being into some mainstream kink aspects doesn’t make you the Marquis de Sade.
I have to say though it got VERY dark in that final chapter and it’s a truly terrifying thing to envision. Will I keep reading? Yes. Will I do it in order? Probably not, where would the fun be in that.

This audiobook is performed in duet by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter. I have listened to many books by these narrators but never one quite this steamy and oh so delicious! Jason does a deep, sexy growl like no other. His portrayal of the dirty talking, possessive alpha vampire was one of his best! and Stella was fantastic as Kayla. Sultry and sweet, vulnerable and fiery. Their vocal chemistry is excellent! Aaron Shedlock narrates the last chapter and it was a fantastic intro into his characters book. I will be on the lookout as it left me with many questions and needing more!
