Technical books like this are a bit like cookbooks and less like novels. I don't read them cover-to-cover, but read the parts that are pertinent to what I need to know.
That said, like most reference books, it is dry, dense, and full of information that is mostly useless to me. However, the parts that useful to me are at least interesting, even if I have to re-read them multiple times to get through the technical prose.
If you're setting up or using SCCM, this is a good book to have in case you need some more information about how to do something.
