he was so WHIPPED he put a new meaning to the word it should be defined as whipped: Mateo Cabrera And Violet suits him so freaking wellll, He even calls her Savage. I mean, she did tell him she would cut off any woman’s fingers that touched him 🤭🤭
This was lowkey insta-lovey but I don't care Mateo is so fucking precious! ❤️🔥🫠 2nd favourite in the series. I need book 4 now 🙌🏻
Read if you enjoy ▪︎ Morally grey hero ▪︎ Tattoo artist FMC x Cage fighter MMC ▪︎ Touch her and die ▪︎ Found family / HEA
Plot Summary Violet has spent seven years looking for her sister Rose, after receiving a letter from her that led her to the Las Vegas underworld she's convinced that Mateo is the link to Rose so she starts stalking him but little did she know he's stalking her too. The monster in her story is slowly becoming her addiction.
Natalie Kane, what are you putting in these books?! It’s like I open it up, hit play on the audiobook and INSTANTLY I am sucked in. Every single book in this series so far was read in one sitting. There is no such thing as taking a break when it comes to The Kings of Vegas!
“Use your words, savage girl.”
Jason Clark & Mollie Stark’s duet narration was music to my ears. Mollie Stark is a newer narrator to me and I LOVED her voice! I can’t recommend it enough, this audiobook was a 100/10💫!
Violet & Mateo’s story was a standout in the series for me because of how insanely STRONG, and FIERCE Violet was. She was literally a perfect match for Mateo, in and out of the fighting ring. Even the other Kings were impressed with her power.
“You can ink me up anywhere you want, whenever you want, baby.”
Mateo was a man obsessed. He was literally down bad from first sight and had several tricks up his sleeve to have her in his life! 🤭
“That’s a little unhinged, Mateo.” “We’ve already established that I’m unhinged when it comes to you, Savage.“
Violet wasn’t going to stop until she found her sister. I’m glad she was able to find Mateo to help her on her quest! (I am also SO READY to finally meet the BIG BAD, IYKYK. Carson’s book is coming!)
The spice in this book? LAVAAAAAAAAA like always! 🤭❤️🔥
“Love it when you beg,” he growls against me.
I am already in my feels about this series coming to an end and we still have one more book! These men love HARD, and the found family just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Tropes: 🤭Strangers to Lovers ❤️🔥 Mafia King x Tattoo Artist 🕰️ Secret Tats 🔥 Man Obsessed 🐈⬛ Mutual Cat & Mouse ❤️🩹 Trust Issues 👊🏼 Cage Fighter x MMA
I knew from the very first chapters that this book wasn't going to work for me. The writing felt flat, the dialogue was awkward, and nothing about the characters managed to pull me in. Matteo was supposed to come across as intense and possessive, but instead he was immature, exhausting, and impossible to root for. Violet wasn't any better—I couldn't connect with her or care about what happened to either of them. The chemistry was practically nonexistent, the plot relied on recycled mafia clichés, and every dramatic moment felt manufactured rather than earned. Instead of building tension, the story just kept throwing random conflicts at the reader and hoping something would stick. Nothing about this book felt original or memorable.
No bc why do her books always start out so good, but lose me in the middle????? I mean I was actually eating this book up and then it just got so boring in the middle. Like the same thing would happen just in a different font and then Matteo got jealous of Violet getting a tattoo from a man and literally went to Rapture (a sex club) to literally hurt her. Like he said in his chapter that he was going to make out and fondle this other girl just to hurt Violet. But in the chapter before he was so in love with her and would never hurt her????? That just made me so mad that I couldn’t think of anything else the rest of the book. Honestly don’t even waste your time.
My goodness how I love this series… Mateo & Violet captured my heart and my attention from the jump. I love how headstrong and smart Violet is, and how attracted Mateo was to that, and especially the pieces of herself she saw as “flaws”.
The banter and humor between both the MCs and our beloved side characters was perfection. Especially in some of the darker scenes, Natalie Kane had some dynamite drop ins to add some levity or shift the mood.
🥊 Obsession at first sight ♣️ Cat & Mouse stalking 🥊 They’re both pierced ♣️ Cage fighter MMC 🥊 Tattoo artist FMC (and she tattoos him!) ♣️ Found family
🎙️ the audiobook is narrated in duet by Mollie Stark and Jason Clarke who are of my all time favorite narrators, and together, they create magic. You can tell these two put their all into their performances, from the hilarious banter and back and forth, the simmering tension, and even the smiles and laughter in their voices. There could not have been two better voice actors to represent Violet and Mateo and I know I will be listening to this book again!
Natalie Kane has produced some of my favorite audiobooks of the year with this series. I truly cannot recommend the Kings of Vegas series enough.
I wanted to love this. I was so looking forward to Mateo's story. I love the cat and mouse storyline. Although Violet wasn't the greatest stalker. It made me giggle that Mateo and Julian was one step ahead of her. That was about the only thing I enjoyed about this book. I didn't feel there was any character development between the MC's . The plot was lost about halfway through. And the scene when he punishes her for over hearing something? Completely killed the book. That scene didn't need to be in there. It didn't contribute anything to the plot other than to piss me off. How do you go from claiming she's everything to cheating on her? Yes, I classify that as cheating. He touched another woman with the intent to do more. I found it very hard to like Mateo after that. And then "badass" Violet apologizes? No. If there was a time to be a badass and put her MMA skill to use, this would have been the moment. Violet has a take no shit attitude, and it didn't make sense for her to apologize and take it. And all for what? Cause she wanted to get railed? No, thank you. And then to propose in the next chapter and claim to love her? I liked him less. Anything nice he did after that, I didn't care for. The only thing that saved this from being one star was the found family in here. I love how supportive the women are of each other. And the way the brothers band together? It was unmatched. I wouldn't read this again though.
It's always a great day to read a Kings of Vegas book👏🏼
This series has had 5⭐️ banger after banger, and I'm so obsessed with each of the FMCs and MMCs!
Violet and Mateo were a perfect fiery match. And Violet just may be one of my new favorite baddie FMCs because can I be her? Strong, fierce, loyal, courageous, and a force to be reckoned with - she's on a mission to find her sister who's been taken. And even though it's been years, Violet has never given up. She's been biding her time as a tattoo artist in Vegas, attending underground fights in hopes of finding her sister with the few clues she has. But when she stumbles upon a particular fighting ring, she doesn't find her sister, but Mateo Cabrera, one of the kings of Vegas. Hot as sin, tattooed, and part of the 4 big mafia brothers in Vegas. ♣️
Y'ALL these two were🔥 From the mutual stalking, to how obsessed Mateo is with Violet, I loved every second of their banter, sass, and chemistry that flew off the pages. Natalie really knows how to bring it with her mafia/dark romance because each book has been so binge worthy and SO good.
I literally cannot get enough of this series. My jaw dropped at that ending and I NEED the next book so bad!!! Unbelievably excited for what comes next!😍
Thank you so much to Natalie for my eARC and ALC! I adore this series!📚🖤
*This book is 5 stars for me, but I nearly knocked a half a star off due to the jealousy scene regarding Violet getting tattooed (iykyk)... It felt out of place to me - particularly how Mateo was handling it/planned to handle it in his mind by "getting back at her" instead of communicating... That was my ONLY thing I did not love.*
This series is addictive, these men are powerful, skirt the line of legal, dangerous, and intimidating. Yet finding the right women seems to bring them to their knees. Each story has pulled me in and left me wanting more.
Mateo is the third king we are getting to know, he runs the boxing club, MMA gyms. He loves his single life and the perks that it allows him.
Violet seeks out Mateo for help. Her sister was kidnapped and then trafficked years ago. Mateo immediately jumps in to help, bringing the other three Kings of Vegas with him. When they find out who is behind the deed, they will not stop until Violet’s sister Rose is returned.
Violet and Mateo are made for each other, from the mutual possessiveness, to the battle of strength. Violet is a force, she is sassy, she strong willed and fierce competitor.
This book is hard to put down, it never slows, no pause in the action. I almost read it one sitting, but I needed to sleep. The found family is supportive and protective, and the way the women love their Kings, it is easy to see why they are treated like Queens.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Natalie Kane, these books are literal crack for me right now! I stumbled across Sinful King (book 1) on instagram and when I saw Teddy Hamilton narrating, I knew I had to give it a try! Did I devour that and Blood King within days of each other? Yes the hell I did! While those two were solid 4 stars for me, this one def blew me away within the first few chapters!
Mateo, Mateo, Mateo....my God, the man that you are! I was initially intrigued by him from Book 1. While everyone seemed to gravitate towards Rome's new girl, Mateo was skeptical and downright rude to her....I instantly loved him for it LOL! He seemed to trust very few people and was fiercely protective of his brothers. I soon realized that any woman that brought him to his knees would have to be a real firecracker!
Insert Violet! From their first interaction, the chemistry was so intense, so palpable, I knew he'd met his match! Very rarely in a mafia romance do you find equal parts humor and savagery! The banter between these two literally had me in stitches and Mateo is probably the funniest mafia MMC I've ever come across! And unlike so many mafia queens, Violet quickly established herself as a fiercely strong and independent badass! She even gained the respect of the other kings very early on, which made this book such a standout read for me. And can we talk about them each secretly stalking each other? That had me giggling abd kicking my feet!
Jason Clarke and Molly Stark were the perfect narrators and really made their intense chemistry come to life in the audiobook.
Already feeling sad about this series coming to an end because it has been such a wild ride getting to know the Kings of Vegas! Anxiously awaiting Carson's story because I fear that he has given up on love due to his past and the brutal death of his wife. I cant wait to see who Natalie has in store for him!
My favorite of the series so far! Mateo and Violet were such a vibe together.
Mateo sees Violet and was instantly intrigued, he had to have her. This series has the most obsesssssed men! They stop at nothing to get the girl.
Violet was so strong and such a badass. We all know the possessive, mafia king is going to do some stalking on the girl he’s obsessed with… but HER stalking HIM right back?! I loved that! Such a fun little twist on things. I loved how strong and determined Violet was. Both of these characters are my faves from the series so far!
The audio is phenomenal! Natalie does fantastic at casting the perfect narrators for her characters. Mollie Stark and Jason Clarke were so, so good. And in duet? It’s perfection.
ALC review
🎙️Duet narration 🎧Narrators: Mollie Stark & Jason Clarke
♣️Mafia king / Cage fighter ♣️Tattoo artist FMC ♣️Mutual stalking ♣️Man obsessed/possessive ♣️Touch her & die ♣️Traumatic past
I loved all of the King’s of Vegas, but Mateo and Violet have set a very high standard for the others before them.
I loved how Mateo knew that Violet was his from the first moment that he laid eyes on her. Violet’s sass towards Mateo and their banter back and forth was priceless. She wasn’t scared of him and let him know it every chance that she got.
Now, the scene at the tattoo shop left me kind of heart broken because how was Mateo left things!
Audiobook was everything that I thought it would be and more. It was fabulous ❣️❣️
Duet style narration was done by Jason Clarke and Molly Starks. Jason Clarke performing Mateo was perfect. He pulled off Mateo’s sexy stern voice with perfection. Molly Stark also did an awesome voice for Violet. These two made you feel like you were part of their family.
ARC was received from the author for an honest review.
I devoured this. Every book in this series becomes my new favorite. I loved that this included mutual stalking. I seriously swooned every time he called her Savage. I cannot wait for book four.
It’s safe to say Natalie Kane books are total catnip to me!! Obsession/possession, mafia danger, intense chemistry, high heat, and suspense?! What more could you ask for! Savage King was epically delicious and addictive. GOSH this audios are just so stinking good!
MATEO IS EVERY BIT AS DELICIOUS AS THIS COVER! And completely UNHINGED when it comes to Violet. He is obsessed at first sight, and he gets even more intense from there. Morally gray, possessive, protective, obsessed...AND DOWN BAD?! Plus he is ruthles and savage to protect her. DAYUM I’m as feral for him as he is for her.
And Violet? OMG she’s so fun. She does NOT make it easy on obsessed Mateo, even though she’s equally as intrigued. A tattoo artist with a sharp mouth, zero fear, a secret objective, and enough sass to keep one of Vegas’s most dangerous mafia kings constantly on his toes.
Their banter is SO freaking good, the chemistry is insanely hot, nd don’t even get me started on the mutual stalking. I love two equally feral characters basically being insanely into each other. It was combustible and such a good time. These two are absolutely rabid for each other.
Beyond the romance, I continue to love how this series balances all the action and danger with so much heart. The search for Violet's sister adds real emotional weight, while the Kings and the family they've built continue to be one of my favorite parts of this world. These people would burn the world down for each other, and that loyalty gives the series so much depth beneath all the mafia chaos, violence, and spice.
And speaking of spice...Natalie absolutely delivers. As always. The tension, the dirty talk, the obsession...it is HOT. Like, blushing-through-your-headphones hot.
The duet audio book is amazing. This whole series has been just a slam dunk on audio. Jason Clarke was born to play an unhinged, obsessed mafia man. The grit, the growl, the intensity. MELTED me. He ATE THIS PERFORMANCE UP. Truly one of his best. And Mollie Stark brings so much fun range to Violet. Her vulnerability and her edge all come through. Their performances made an already addictive story even more immersive. I seriously couldn’t stop listening.
And how is there only ONE left in the series?! I’m already gagging for it (I just know the best is gonna be last) but also already mourning that it’s the end. If you’ve not grabbed a Natalie book DO IT. These are so freaking sexy and fun and wildly page turning.

3.5 ⭐Look, if you can get past the insta-love, you'll be just fine. Suspend reality, buckle up, and enjoy the ride.
I was overdue for a good mafia romance, and this one delivered enough drama, danger, and possessiveness to scratch that itch. Violet was easy to root for in the beginning. She's fierce, determined, and willing to do whatever it takes to find her sister. I love an FMC who isn't afraid to throw herself headfirst into the chaos.
Mateo is exactly what you'd expect from a made man. He sees Violet, decides she's his, and that's pretty much the entire courtship process, well she makes him work for it, just a little. That said, Mateo and Violet actually had chemistry, which made the insta-love easier to overlook. Their connection felt believable enough that I was willing to roll with the "mine now and forever" energy.
I was also Team Violet for most of the book... right up until the mission to save her sister. At that point, logic packed its bags, called an Uber, and left the building. Girl, the stakes are high. We need strategy. We need planning. What we don't need is 47 questions, pure panic, and decisions fueled entirely by emotion. I understand why she was reacting that way, but I wanted to grab her by the shoulders and lock her up myself until the mission was over.
Was this book predictable? Absolutely. Did I know we were heading toward a HEA and a rescued sister? Also absolutely. Did I still have a good time getting there? Yep.
Overall, this was a fun, fast mafia romance that doesn't require deep analysis. Just grab a snack, silence your inner critic, and enjoy the chaos. 💀🖤📚
We are going back to Vegas for Matteo’s story and it’s so good!! We have seen bits of his personality in the other books and my morally gray loving heart was all in for him and Violet!
They had such immediate chemistry and their connection was intense - he was completely obsessed with her and so protective. He was just so into her and at times, dare I say…completely swoon worthy. He’s supportive and will to do whatever it takes to help get her sister back.
Violet was a badass and so strong and never gave up looking for her sister. She’s smart and witty and takes zero sh*t from him…but she can’t ignore their chemistry!!!
🎧The audio was so good for this book - I felt like the casting was perfect. Mollie brought the perfect mix of strength and vulnerability to Violet and yes we get a Jason Clarke “good girl” 😉
I also LOVE the female friendships and the way the brothers accepted and supported Violet.

Savage King completely pulled me in from the first chapter, and listening to it on audio made the experience even better. Jason Clarke absolutely owned this role. His voice was the perfect blend of broody, possessive, and quietly obsessed, and I don’t think anyone could’ve done this hero better.
I loved that the romance wasn’t just spicy. It was genuinely romantic. He’s protective to the point of being feral, but she never loses herself. She’s stubborn, strong-willed, speaks her mind, and refuses to be steamrolled, which made their chemistry so much more satisfying. Every bit of tension felt earned because she gave as good as she got.
Between the sizzling chemistry, the emotional moments, and a hero who would burn the world down for her, this one had me hooked. If you love possessive alpha heroes, heroines who stand their ground, and narration that elevates an already fantastic story, don’t sleep on the audiobook.
Jason Clarke has officially reminded me (again) why he’s one of my favorite male narrators. If he’s narrating it, I’m reading it 📚✨
Savage King is the 3rd book in the Kings of Vegas series which follows best friends and kings of the underworld in Las Vegas.
Violet has moved to Las Vegas after she got a letter from her sister, who disappeared 7 years ago. She is trying to find her by going to underground fight clubs where she catches the owner and fighter Mateo's eye. He is immediately obsessed with her and takes her home with him. They share an amazing night, but Violet drugs him to try and snoop around his place to look for information. Despite this, he still wants her to be his woman. Violet was a strong character in her own right and was the perfect match for Mateo. I did feel this was super instalove, but it was still an enjoyable book.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW 🎤Duet Narration by Jason Clarke and Mollie Stark
This audiobook had duet narration by Jason Clarke and Mollie Stark. They both brought the heat and chemistry. It was a great performance.
Thank you to Must Love Audio for providing the ALC.
Talk about obsession at first sight! For the characters and for myself! Natalie, what in the world do you put in these books?! Because I CANNOT GET ENOUGH.
The moment Mateo lays eyes on Violet, she becomes his obsession. He is a mafia king and an underground fighter and crazy protective of those he loves. And Violet is a tattoo artist. I love her! She's a total baddie! She doesn't take crap from anybody. She's strong, fierce, and will stand her ground. No matter what Violet said or did to him, it only made Mateo fall harder. There was some mutual stalking going on and it was so fun. These two were absolutely the perfect match for each other.
🎧 This is a duet narration by Jason Clarke and Mollie Stark. These two created absolute magic with this audiobook. This performance was top tier and I absolutely ate it up. 10/10!!!
What to expect: 🖤Cat and Mouse 🖤Mutual Stalking 🖤Touch her and die 🖤Obsession at first sight 🖤Tattoo Artist FMC 🖤Cage Fighter/Mafia King MMC
Thank you to Natalie Kane for this e-ARC/ALC. All opinions are my own.
Immersion read. Another banger! Mateo + Violet were captivating from start to finish. This unhinged mafia man did some batshit crazy shit. And I ate it UP because that’s what I expect in these type of reads. Violet held her own too, but not in a bitchy way, which was refreshing. This series took over my life for five days + it was glorious. And to think the first books buddy read was supposed to be five days. LOLZ. It’s also still my fav followed closely by this one. Excited for Carson’s book to wrap it up!
The way I devoured this one!!! I loved every second of Mateo & Violet!! Mateo is smitennnnnn and I ate it up! He’s gone for her from the moment he sees her…even when she’s convinced he’s the bad guy. The chemistry between these two? Hot. I loved Violet’s determination and the way she never gave up on her sister. I loved watching her finally have someone on her side after being alone for so long. I love the way Mateo showed up for, the way he protected her even when she could do it herself. The banter between Mateo & Violet was so good, I was on the edge of my seat with the suspense, I’m a sucker for a man obsessed–especially when we get to see the softer side of a mafia man…it was all just so good! I’m both so ready for Carson’s story and not at all ready for this series to be over!!!
This series is top tier, and the narration is perfect!
I absolutely adored Matteo and Violet! Their chemistry was off the charts and the instant obsession was the best! I loved that they mutually stalked each other, and that Matteo was manipulating the information to get her exactly where he wanted her!
Those women are some of the loved and cared for women I’ve ever read!!
Started out good, and then the mmc gets jealous because she gets a tattoo from a male artist and so he makes her meet him at a sex club so he can make her watch him kiss and feel up another woman? Then he refuses to have an adult conversation with her.
i don’t which one of them is more immature I couldn’t stand violet, i get that she is supposed to be badass and independent but she only came out as the most annoying bitch ever it’s okay to be a strong woman BUT she’s no wonderwoman, neither is she immortal but i swear she acted like that
Mateo and Violet are perfection. Personally I love all of these men and their woman but Mateo just melts my heart. I laughed a lot in this book. True perfection.
What I love so much about this book series is that all of the mafia men love their women and also their female friends so much that they would do anything to protect them. I loved this part as much as I did the others and I can’t wait for Carson‘s book 🫶
