This was an engaging and a standalone story I'd devoured. This is the fourth book on the four orc brothers who were looking for magical rings that got tossed onshore after their ship wreaked during a storm. This story is about Thorktar an orc who was stabbed and poisoned by the by the dark elves who finds a barn to hide, and Forla a human woman and ex-slave who finds him and tends to him. What occurs afterward was a well pace and engaging romantic story. This story is set in the Protheka universe so there's darkness and angst among the romance. The characters are likable and relatable. I'd volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received.
