I found so many new books that I want to read, which is good and bad, considering I already only a couple hundred (maybe thousand, who knows) books in my house that I have yet to read. Not to mention all the books on kindle and audio, the library books and all of the million books on my tbr already. Still, always looking for more. :)

Thanks so much to NetGalley for the free Kindle book. My review is voluntarily given, and my opinions are my own.

I’ve never seen a book like this, I was lucky enough that I joined the NetGalley discord server and this was recommended. I’ve been reading books on NetGalley since May 2026 and this is so helpful and such a fun opportunity to try different books out, although it’s a shock when the chapter ends.
It’s a book that has chapters from current and upcoming coming Advanced Reader Copy. Each book has a front cover, although you are not supposed to judge a book by its cover I think that’s helpful in choosing a book and is bigger than on the NetGalley site. Then the chapters are so helpful, I often don’t chose a book because I’m unsure whether I will actually enjoy it, reading a chapter or two helps when you are not sure and I have definitely marked some I already fancy. It was good to see one I’d already chosen.
One thing to note I think some of the books are not available in the uk. I couldn’t find them when I searched for them and when I clicked on the link they were only available for adding to wish list. I know there are definitely less books available on NetGalley uk than the NetGalley site.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this book for my consideration, this is all my own rambling, honest and personal opinion.

This is a sampler of books being published spring/summer 2026, with excerpts from some of them.  It provides a great opportunity to construct a TBR list for the coming months.

I always look forward to the Buzz Books editions. I just finished this one and now have a list of books from favorite authors as well as some intriguing new titles for the spring/summer. Looks like I am “booked” through the summer.

Thanks to Netgalley and Publishers Lunch BUZZ Books for the DRC.

I love a good Buzz Books, and this one did exactly what it was supposed to do: completely destroy any illusion that I might ever catch up on my reading. The excerpts are perfectly evil—long enough to hook you, short enough to leave you annoyed and desperate for more.

Fiction standouts that immediately owned me:

The Secret Lives of Murderers’ Wives – It’s 1966. Your husbands are all serial killers. What do you do? You band together and help people find killers. Obviously. Who would know better than the three of you? There wasn’t nearly enough of this excerpt—but somehow just enough to make me fully committed. Female friendship, redemption, and murder-adjacent problem solving? Yes.

The Mortons – That’s how you start a book. Instant buy-in. Now I just need it to keep that pace the whole way through.

The Unknown – Always up for a Riley Sager book. They pull you in from page one every time, and this one is no exception.

Go Gentle – This is the Maria Semple I’ve been waiting for. Sharp, funny, and exactly my vibe.

Debut novels that made me say “oh no” (because now I have to read them):

The Ending Writes Itself – An island. Writers. We all know where this is heading, and I’m ready for the chaos.

The Found Object Society – Would you want to relive someone else’s death? Hard pass in real life. Immediate yes in fiction.

Halter – A fresh, timely premise: when people get addicted to the virtual world, who stops them? Enter Kennedy Stark, doing the lord’s work.

For Human Use – Do you want to be set up with a dead guy? A question I did not expect to be asking myself today, but here we are.

Portrait of a Witch Undone – A fictionalized take on a real, never-solved heist. If no one knows who did it… why not witches?

Forever Is the Sweetest Con – I am still very much into watching reality show contestants suffer. This one feels made for me.

Nonfiction that instantly hooked me:

The Killer and Frank Lloyd Wright – I was immediately interested because I had never heard of this tragedy before. That alone sold me.

YA standout:

Natural Selection – The tagline says it all: “When it comes to boys and bears, always choose the bear.” But what if the bear is also choosing us? Intriguing, unsettling, and absolutely going on my list.

Buzz Books 2026: Spring/Summer is dark, smart, funny, and completely ruthless to my free time. If you enjoy discovering upcoming favorites and dramatically expanding your TBR, this is required reading. Now excuse me while I go panic about shelf space.

Buzz Books 2026: Spring/Summer is a free curated collection of approximately 50 upcoming releases. It features excerpts based on publisher nominations and selections by Publishers Marketplace (a reputable, industry standard resource). It is a good reference for readers looking to add to their TBR list.

The experience of skimming this catalog felt akin to walking through the aisles of a bookstore, picking up recommended titles and reading the first few pages to see if they pique your interest. I was surprised to discover that Min Jin Lee, author of one of my favorite books, Pachinko, has a new novel titled American Hagwon coming out this year. I had recently checked her Goodreads profile for new releases and didn't notice it listed. This really highlights how lacking the online browsing experience can be compared to physical bookstores, a void that Buzz Books fills.

This catalog was especially helpful for evaluating debut authors. It can feel like a risk to try someone new, but knowing that both the publisher and Publishers Marketplace specifically chose to feature a title—combined with the ability to read an excerpt—derisks the process of picking up a debut.

The books are grouped into broad categories: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Debut, and Young Adult. I found the list a bit overwhelming to navigate and think it would be more user-friendly if the categories were more granular. Since readers often have specific preferences, indicating subgenres like Contemporary Romance, Fantasy, or Historical Fiction on the summary pages would make the browsing experience much more efficient.

This review is based on an ARC provided by Publishers Marketplace via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This is the best way to get a little taste of upcoming books! There were quite a few in here that I was already really looking forward to and now I’m anticipating them even more.

Seek The Traitors Son by Veronica Roth was probably one of my favorite excerpts from this. I am really looking forward to getting my preorder after reading that!

The Unknown by Riley Sager… I’m already hooked. I really wish I could binge the entire thing already.

I have an arc for Shadow Reaper by Lynette Roni and I’ve just bumped that up the top of my TBR after reading the excerpt. Very excited to dig into it!!

The Secret Lives of Murderers Wives by Elizabeth Arnott and Crown of War and Shadow by J.R. Ward both have been preordered after reading.

Some I’ve now added to my TBR after reading this excerpts including Dominion by Jean Kwok, The Mortons by Justine Larbalestier and Scott Westerfeld, Time Travel for Beginners by Jaclyn Moriarty and The Ruins Beneath Us by Sasha E Sloan.

Thank you to NetGalley and Publishers Marketplace Buzz Books for the opportunity to read this. All opinions are my own.

I always nab on these the second I see 'em listed on NG—being able to take a peek at the writing of upcoming novels never fails to save me from some duds on NG. These last 2 editions, though, I've had the pleasure of attending their live virtual events featuring some of the authors as well, & BOYYYY does it make me even more excited to read the novels featured. (And, truthfully, also saved me from requesting one that in the end wouldn't have turned out to be for me.) Buzz Books puts such time & care into curating this, & I am so grateful.

So, per usual, I highly suggest snagging this lil sneak peek while you can!

Thank you bunches to Buzz Books and all of the authors & pubs involved. & thank you to NetGalley for the DRC <3

PS I NEEEEEEEED 200 Monas OMGGG what a stand out!

I look forward each season to this compilation of upcoming books. There are lists of notable books coming out across genres and a sampling of a select few. We all know you can't judge a book by its cover, and sometimes there are so many books out there it is hard to find the gems you know must be there. I always discover at least a few books that I would otherwise have missed when I pick up the latest Buzz Books, and the 2026 Spring/Summer edition was no exception. Whether you like fiction or non-fiction, literary or genre, established authors or debut efforts, adult or young adult, there will be something in these pages for you. I highly recommend grabbing a copy and perusing its pages!

This is my send time reading this kind of book, a collection of what’s to come in publishing.
And I enjoy it because you get a variety of genres, different sentiments within the same genre.
It feels like opening the catering menu for an upcoming party, which you need to choose from.
And I made my choice from entrée till night cap, I have chosen four books which I’d like to read.
All outside my go to genre, which is nonfiction. But I requested six books last time and didn’t regret it.
Pleasant surprise, looking forward to what’s coming next.

For anyone that wants a glimpse into their future reading or just needs to add to their ever-growing TBR, Buzz Books 2026 is a great place to find it!

I look forward to Buzz Books releases! I love reading of a variety of genres, and these lists allow me to be on the lookout for books and authors that I had no idea about. I especially like the debut section, because it allows me to look out for up-and-coming authors. There are so many diverse genres that Buzz Books presents, which means that there is a book or books in there for any reader. The best part of this catalogue for readers is that there is not only an extended synopsis, but also a sneak peak into a chapter within the book! This is especially helpful if it is a new to you author. If you are a NetGalley member the bonuses are that these are usually "Read Now" titles and they provide the link to each book on NetGalley!

This was my first opportunity to access a Buzz Books from NetGalley, and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed getting to read through some excerpts and teasers of upcoming releases. I look added a few to my TBR (This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page, and The Secret Lives of Murderers Wives by Elizabeth Arnott), and even found a couple of books in genres I don’t frequently read that I am intrigued by (The Killer and Frank Lloyd Wright). I look forward to future Buzz Books! Thank you again, NetGalley, for the opportunity!
